Posted November 30, 201410 yr You know how a lot of you said in one of my previous posts that Zelda U looks like an anime, now it has been confirmed that zelda u's art style is inspiration from a Japanese anime. Here is the article that confirms this: http://mynintendonews.com/2014/11/30/zelda-wii-us-visual-style-draws-inspiration-from-anime/ It also says that it has a feeling of realism.
November 30, 201410 yr Don't they all in some way? I mean there are many styles of anime from hyper-cartoony to psudo-photo-realistic.But I will say it kind of remids me of a Studeo Ghibli film.

December 1, 201410 yr More like Wind Waker . not really Wind Waker has harsh colours (at least in SD) this is vibrant colours. And desing-wise it's basically Twilight Princess for the third time
December 2, 201410 yr not really Wind Waker has harsh colours (at least in SD) this is vibrant colours. And desing-wise it's basically Twilight Princess for the third time But it looks kinda close to Wind Waker's art style except with brighter colors.
December 2, 201410 yr But it looks kinda close to Wind Waker's art style except with brighter colors. ...not really?
December 2, 201410 yr ...not really? I see a lot of similarities here though. Like the shading and art style seem to mix in the same way the Wind Waker did.

It's still cel shading, but it's a completely different art style

Not to mention, Zelda U was inspired by the HD remaster's appearance for The Wind Waker.

Wind Waker HD came about when they used the Zelda U lighting engine in Wind Waker, and liked how it looked
December 2, 201410 yr other way around. Wind Waker HD came about when they used the Zelda U lighting engine in Wind Waker, and liked how it looked Wrong. They were using the tech demo with different art styles and liked how the Wind Waker looked the most. Thus they decided on the remaster and the influence for Zelda U. Don't know where you got your information from, but I've followed Aonuma's interviews and his Miiverse posts ever since Wind Waker HD was announced and I got my Wii U.

December 2, 201410 yr you literally said the same thing I said but in more detail No, you said Zelda U. I said Tech Demo. Zelda U is not the Tech Demo. Zelda U is a game. Tech Demo isn't a game. The tech demo is never a game. And this is in between the tech demo and Zelda U. The art test using the tech demo. This is what influenced the art style for Zelda U. It was realized that this art style really popped in HD. Following up on it would really help Zelda U. Edited December 2, 201410 yr by Hero of Winds
