I record game footage, and sometimes I have to change the audio for stuff like Utada's music because of copyright. So I used a random generic pop song from Youtube's free music library

So why does it work perfectly? Watch it, the music hits ALL of the same beats as Simple and Clean, it's uncanny

Is pop really just that formulaic?

(if the timestamp doesn't work, the intro starts at 1:21

Nice song pick! It works perfectly like you said. It's brilliant. Now I want to ask, what song did you actually pick? Did it align with all of it just right, or did you cut the song a bit?

It certainly didn't hit all the same beats, but yeah, pop instrumentals tend to have the same tempo and progression. It's vocals and lyrics that make different pop songs stand out.

well the full song is slightly longer, so at the end I fade it out, but even that fit pretty well
