I've seen this thing on other forums that I'd like to ask about. What it is, is a part at the bottom of a post that allows users to put if they thought it was helpful or thank the user for the post. I don't know if this forum download uses it but if it does I think it would be a good thing to have, rather then people just sticking in another post to just thank the person (I don't really know if that extra post is such a bad thing, but it doesn't really ad anything.). So does this seem like a good idea?

Do you mean something similar to the Facebook "Like" system? If so, that would be kinda of a good idea. But people give reps to thank others for good info on posts, so it most likely wouldn't be needed.

Nah its not really needed.

You can just reply to a thread saying Thanks or thanks for this etc.

And you can always PM the User and Give the User Rep, which makes the user feel better then just somebody thanking you like that.

lolz damn it, i thought this was a good idea lolz, oh well, at least i expressed it and didnt keep it quite, oh well worth a shot
