Posted February 27, 201510 yr I want to make an RP about Kingdom Hearts but first I need some help with something. I want to make myself a Keyblade but I just can't figure out what it will be. I've been trying to draw one for days and I've come up with some that don't please me enough. What I want is your help figuring out the theme of the Keyblade because I'm stuck there at the moment. Thanks in advance. (Is it okay for this kind of post to be in the RP boards? I'm not quite sure...)
February 27, 201510 yr Hmm....well Keyblades are often a reflection of the character's own Heart/ inner resolve, so I would say that you could use that as your inspiration! What kind of person is your character? What's his personality? Intentions?
February 28, 201510 yr Author Well...I haven't figured out that much about the character but I know his personality. He is stubborn, happy-go-lucky sometimes and acts silly on various ocasions but gets really serious when it comes to battles. He is kind of a loner though and doesn't have many friends and when he is alone he is usually calm and collected but opens up whenever he gets to know someone well enough. I don't know about intentions...I haven't figured much of the story yet I was hoping I would clear things one at a time but first creating my character. So I guess I will figure out the story first and then everything else. Thanks!
February 28, 201510 yr Ok, here are the three designs I sketched up based on your character description. I kindof hate the third one... I hope this can help inspire you to create a design you love. Edited February 28, 201510 yr by Kingdom Key D
March 1, 201510 yr Author Ok, here are the three designs I sketched up based on your character description. I kindof hate the third one... :(I hope this can help inspire you to create a design you love. They are all amazing! I really thank you! Could you tell me how exactly you came up with them?
March 1, 201510 yr Ok, sounds great. The first one- kingdom key base for blade- reliable, calm, friendly, hopeful. Silver- calm and collected. Green- symbol of life and hope (happy go lucky). Few things are more resilient than life (stubborn). Two layers of the blade- quiet introverts tend to have a lot of layers in two groups, those they show to the outside world, and those that only people who get close can see. Gold/ yellow on hilt- reliable (gold doesn't react with much), happy/friendly. Spikes on hilt and green part of the blade- serious in battle, dangerous despite friendly/happy tendencies. The second: reversed medieval style sword hilt- serious in battle, calm and collected. Gem in the hilt (green)- hidden value/ potential. Central values of hope and friendliness. Layers on blade- see the first blade. Swirling pattern- hard to pin down (unknown motives). Turquoise- fluid, capable of change. Happy/ friendly/ bright. Spikes on blade and handle- see first blade. The third- core design looks to be made of stone or heavy metal- stubborn, reliable, strong. Green crosspiece- strength of the blade supported by friendliness and hope. Gems inlaid thru-ought- hidden value/potential, calmness and hope. Linear design- straightforward, dependable. Pointed edges- serious in battle.

March 2, 201510 yr Sorry, but nope. There isn't a guide... But you could look up different symbols of the things you are trying to show, and try to combine those?
March 2, 201510 yr Author Sorry, but nope. There isn't a guide... But you could look up different symbols of the things you are trying to show, and try to combine those? I understand. I've done something like this before only not it such detail and not combining so many things into one. Thanks so much. You were a big help! I'll try and come up with a good Keyblade design to show you how helpful you were. I'll try not to let you down!
