Now that is a good trailer. All the hype indeed.

Hmm, well never played a Fallout game but from what i can tell from the trialer it looks pretty good. Should I play the previous Fallout games if I want to understand the story?

If you like skyrim ,then you will definitely like fallout cause it's skyrim with guns. And no, the stories are independent from each numbered titles. There may be some small references to past games which may not be plot point in the game.

I see. But tell me, what makes the Fallout series so good aside from just being another Skyrim?

Well for me , i quite enjoy

  •  the post-apocalyptic setting in fallout which creates the grim and dangerous environment (dont expect a lot breathtaking environment like in skyrim)
  •  the dark humour
  •  radiation mechanics which adds a bit of survival (eating and drinking can expose you to radiation, having too much radiation can kill you)
  •  guns, the wide variety of guns from bb guns to plasma to mini nukes.
  •  music
  •  tkar
