I was playing my 2.5 HD remix and I arrived at Disney Castle. Wich left me wondering:There is a corner stone of light, wich keeps the heartless away. Why did Mickey decide he should have it? Because he is king? self entitled bastard. He was like, omg I found this corner stone of light, imma build my castle here.

Real question is, how did he become king in the first place considering he was just working on a lame boat?

Ummm how about he was protecting the only thing keeping his world safe from the Heartless. I think that was pretty smart of him actually.

But then in BBS the unversed were all over Disney Town.

The Heartless and Unversed were two different beings. The Unversed weren't beings of darkness per say they were direct extensions of Vanitas and could be spawned anywhere he chose.

Yet in KH3D Pete and Malifacent entered Disney Castle and captured Minnie. Whereas in KH2 the wicked fairy came as a projection of sorts.

Maleficent was trying to accomplish two different goal between the two instances. She could have always use the Corridors of Darkness to enter the world as she pleased. In KH 2 she was attempting to convert Disney Castle into her new stronghold by flooding it with the Heartless. She wanted to fill the castle with darkness but couldn't do so because of the Cornerstone. Which is why Pete was ordered to steal it in the past. Until Pete actually accomplished his mission there was no real reason for Maleficent to be physically present until Pete removed the obstacle in the way of her plans. In Dream Drop Distance her only goal was obtaining the journal which required a more hands on approach.

I'm pretty sure Mickey built his castle around it to protect it. In Timeless River, the thing was pretty much up for grabs to anybody who wanted it (hence Pete going there to steal it in the past to remove it in the present). If it's safely in the basement of his castle, there's no reason to worry about it getting stolen or heartless in his castle. I'm sure if Disney Town had any problems with heartless he'd gladly take them into his castle, and he's already out in other worlds trying to take care of the heartless problem, so I don't really see any arrogance there. It's just normal King stuff.
