Well can you blame them? People were really excited to see what surprises were awaiting them at tomorrow's Smash bros live stream. And than this goes and happens. That can actually make the live stream less enjoyable. It's like with a movie, you want to experience everything in it without being told about the spoilers. Otherwise the movie won't be as much fun to watch if you already know what to expect.
