Did you hear about.....

Posted

Yay my first discussion thread. Anyway I wanna say around a month ago an article on the msn Front page talking about Facebook users. Since i am one from time to time, i thought i would check it out. Turns out some person with no life took the time to i guess in a way scan the website of all its registered person's so he could view their private content. It was then posted on a file sharing website (I think the article said Rapidshare), and had over 2000 downloads in a matter of minutes before being taken down. Using the right program these people could in fact look at private content for anybody registered to facebook as if it was public.

P.S., if this was repeated anywhere i took the time to look before i posted.

Oh, jeez, that's not good. D: I thought all of that was locked, though, so there was no way anyone could access it?

I mean the chances of any one of us being one of the people that the 2000 guys/girls looks at is highly unlikely. I think in the article it said like over 100 million registered users. So we should be alright.

Pedobear strikes again.

I have a facebook but I don't check it often. I never wanted to make one and was dragged into it by my friends.
