The game is called Five Nights at Freddy's. I honestly believe that Scott Cawthon has something against bears. We all get that Bonnie is his favorite character, that's why he gets some special treatment, but isn't Freddy the main mascot of the entire franchise?
Freddy Fazbear had a huge role in the first game. He'd study your way of playing; hide in the shadows; chuckle as he moved and give no signal of when he'd step inside of the office; he had his own song; two jumpscares and was the deadliest.
Then his role decreased with the second game. He barely hides in the dark and even though he doesn't give any hint of when he's coming to the office, he's easy to avoid. What bothers me is that he gets fooled by the mask thing while Foxy isn't. It should've been the other way around. Yes, yes... Foxy is the fan-favourite and the fastest, but Freddy should've been the animatronic who couldn't be fooled by a mask.
He wasn't even on the third game, but his "shadow" version, which is the less scarier jumpscare.
And on the fourth game... Nightmare Freddy seems to have much less of a role in the game than the other Nightmare animatronics do, which is strange since the game appears to be revolved around him when taking a look at the official Steam icon for the game, which depicts none other than Nightmare Freddy himself...
The mini Freddys can be annoying, but they're really easy to avoid unless you completely forget about them. What Scott did to make it up for this? Freddy's jumpscare is different than the rest, instead of screaming to the kid's face, he screams at him while lifting his body up.
