It was about time they did! This is one of the best horror games ever and it's a shame they didn't do anything with it... but now, we're going to have one of the best RE of every time totally remade with some wonderful graphics!   At least this is what I hope for but please Capcom:

1- don't change the story plot as with The Darkside Chronicles;

2- don't do anything that could damage this majestic masterpiece.

In any case, this is ONE-GREAT-NEW for all RE fans! Rejoice! <3 <3

Yea I first saw this from their Facebook page and I had to do a double take. From their recent posts I almost want to say a Resident Evil 2 Remake may actually happen. Hopefully if the RE: Zero remaster sells well it'll be enough to convince Capcom to go ahead and begin work on it. I feel like they're waiting to see how the game performs in sales before making a move, because I think they only began to consider an RE2 Remake when they saw how amazing REmake HD sold.

I suggest they have Alyson Court reprise Claire, unless their reusing voice recordings.
