I would like to start doing dubs similar to how this guy does it. Does anyone have any idea how to actually sync your voice so it matches up with the character's mouths?

Yea that's probably all you have to do. Just watch a cutscene over a few times and write/say your dialogue so that it matches up with what is being said and done.

Thank you for all your help, I've figured it out now.

 

Basically i take the sentence and put it into a syllable counter, then i just create a sentence with the same amount of syllables.

If you're wanting to go the extra mile, you can in a video editor change the lip flaps manually so you can say whatever you want. But if you don't put a lot of time into it, it can look lazy. So be careful with that!

Uh... I don't know of any, but I know it's a thing in Abridged series. I figure if you put enough effort into the lip-flaps and making the lips look like they belong in that scene, it would be similar to doing those same style of edits.
