I did my best. enjoy :)

I toke me a VERY long time to make this video. P.S. This video isn't perfect because I was trying to make it better, but the video editor crashed on me and I didn't feel like doing it ALL OVER again.

I remember the first Chronus fight (I think it was the first, anyway) gave me a lot of trouble. I was convinced it was a fight that the player was supposed to lose... until it gave me the game over screen. :/

I don't remember any of the other bosses taking me by surprise like that, but it has been a while since I played. I think there was at least two fights where I had to go from Hard to Normal. It wasn't the final boss, though.

Got any Tales of "Xillia" stuff you found or would like to share? Post it here! You can post all sorts of stuff (that's appropriate) like:

Character models

Gifs

Skit Faces

Videos

Certain Fan-art

Or post something about Tales of "Xillia", such as your favorite character, artes layout, favorite boss, etc.

For fun, of course. :)

Here, I'll post something to get things going:

I had to go back and buy a ton of items to beat the final boss. Then i had to get through the stupid final area again. >.<

If I remember correctly, I played it mostly on Moderate. I had trouble with the first Chronos fight and the Fractured Muzet fight. But after that I think I was fine for most of them. Granted, I might have been overleved since I did a butt-ton of questy stuff in between chapters, but yeah. No major problems with Odin or Victor or Rideaux.

The bad ending fight was hell. On the other hand, I thought it would be fun to handicap myself for the normal Ch. 15 boss by using only dual blades, cuz, y'know.

For going through the final fights for the normal and true endings, I think I played each time on a different difficulty, but I don't really remember which ones I used.

And then there's the EX dungeon.

The game felt like a very decent game to me and it's one of my favorite tales games, even though I disliked having to run around the overworld without some sort of speed boast that Tales of Xillia 2 fixed.

http://www.siliconera.com/2013/10/17/tales-xillia-2-character-designer-designing-world-characters/

Okumura started his presentation by talking about how Tales of Xillia’s graphic style was something of a departure from the previous Tales games. While Tales of Vesperia’s cel-shading looked good, it made interesting, complex character design hard to do. Okumura wanted to switch to the new style to capture more detail and make characters look more like their original illustrations.

Cel-shading also tended to made characters look smaller, again increasing the gap between concept art and in-game appearance so Okumura recommended the new approach.

Oh ho but it was rushed both story and gameplay wise and let me give you reasons why:

1. The ending, itself, was completely rushed. Everyone's personality suddenly did a 180 at the end if the game and made the whole journey feel pointless

2. We fight both Gaius and Muzet at the final battle but after fighting them they suddenly a new mindset and just randomly stop being villians with no triggers or explanations as to why (same goes for all the other characters in the game)

3. Jude was really annoying in the second half of Xillia and Milla's story was just pointless

4. Lack of content

5. All the areas in Xillia were copy/pasted and not inspired. Everything was too identical to each other

6: No cameo battles...like AT ALL

7. Even the post game dungeon was copy/paste.

8. Story was too linear and rushed ESPECIALLY at the end.

9. Battle system was unrefined to the point where it would result in button mashing or link art spamming.

Heck, even Hideo Baba, himself, even admitted that Tales of Xillia was a rushed product.

Even though there are "facts" that the game has to be proven it was rushed, just because the game was proven to be rushed that doesn't mean that I can't like it. I actually LOVED the spamming in the game because I love games that let me do ANYTHING without any restrictions  and Tales of Xillia did to perfectly and the story DIDN'T feel rushed in my opinion. It felt decent and pretty deep. oh and "unrefined" can be defined differently from one peron to another xP

1. The gameplay: I love the unresricted gameplay. It felt like more of an upgrade from Abyss and Unlike Graces where you can't even do a simple combo, Xillia let you do very cool combos. you can link up with a CPU and do very good combos with them and EVEN go into overlimit with them. Each character has their own combos whether they are linked with other character or not, so it make the gameplay feel fresh in a way. .The game also lets you do a move called a linked arte. Those can obviously be used only when you are linked with another character. Each character also have different linked artes depending on what character you are playing as and what character you're linked with, making the gameplay even more enjoyable and plus you can spam them if you are in overlimit. The game lets you spam artes if you are in overlimit by the way. I just LOVE finding new linked artes because it feels like I've accomplished something. It also feels more like kingdom hearts in a way too. I honestly don't see the problem with spamming moves when you can just play the game in a way that doesn't require you to spam. The game isn't making or telling you to spam so...

2. The story: Even though it wasn't as good as Abyss in my opinion, I think it was pretty good. Even though there are "flaws" in the story that makes it "bad", I still enjoyed it. I never understood why people think that the story is rushed and I'll probably never will.It felt kinda deep AND it wasn't simple like Tales of Graces. I love the story from the game because it wasn't just a Tales of the Abyss like story with a different setting.

3. The sound effects: I loved the sound effects for the game. It was really pleasant to hear and it barely got annoying. It just felt so clean, so clean that it never really got repetitive.

Yeah, the gameplay is pretty fun,but I didn't see any major flaws with Xillia's story

A rushed game can be amazing,Majora's Mask is on of the best games ever and a game with long developpement cycle can be awful,so it doesn't matter if Xillia was rushed or not,if its fun its fun.

2.Well Gaius wasn't evil to begin with,to me it just seemed that they were fighting because they didn't have the same point of view of the situation, but when Gaius lost he probably accepted their idea or something as for Muzet, she was in a crazy phase, but when she lost she calmed down a bit and realized that she still had friends(I believe that was her issue). But I do agree that the game lacks content,I spent so many hours playing Graces with all the extra content,so when I bought Xillia I was expecting the same, but the extra content is really lacking,I was desappointed and its true that there's a lot of copy past, the desert looks just like the grassy area with a brun paint instead, the snowy area looks exactly like the grassy area with a white paint.Visiting new area was kinda boring and predictable, but it didn't bothered me all that much, its a minor detail

okay guys, do you think that Tales of Xillia should get an anime? if so, then when do you think tales of xillia anime will be a thing?

I really think it should get an anime and I think it's probably going to happen in a few years, but taking into consideration that Tales of Zestiria is going to get an anime next year, then I wouldn't be really surprised if something similar's going to happen with xillia 1. :)
