Daybreak Town speculation (spoilers)

Posted

Here is my theory. I put it in a spoiler so that it doesn't take up as much space on the page. :)

And also a last minute warning that this is will spoil some info for those who have yet to play KHX and DDD. Enjoy!

Daybreak Town has many secrets we have yet to uncover, but here is one thing we know from the Kingdom Hearts 2.8 trailer: There is a traitor among us.

Now let's think. Who is this "us"? Are they talking about of the clans, or are they talking about an individual person?

Here is some lore that might surprise you: Daybreak Town might just be the Sleeping World of Twilight Town.

Why? Lemme explain. Chirithy, the Cat from X chi and Unchained X, is a Dream Eater. Okay, so what? Well in other theories, some believed that all of X chi might be in the Realm of Sleep. But now, remember in Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance that all the sleeping worlds are actually from the past, present, and even future (Past being Three Musketeers, Present being Traverse Town maybe, and Future being The Grid.).

Now picture this: Daybreak Town is in the past, and Twilight Town is in the Present. Daybreak Town might just be the Sleeping world of Twilight Town, for they share similarities in both structure and Geological evidence.

They both have Hill-like foundations,

They both have some kind of Large Tower-like building that sticks out in plain sight,

And they both have a sewerline system underground.

Now you may be thinking,"But they don't look anything alike." Well, that's just it. Twilight Town was the product of too many heartless in Daybreak Town, so much darkness it caused the entire town to change dramatically.

And now back to the Traitor issue. After a while, looking at the mansion in Twilight Town, I figured out that the Unicornus Clan might have been the traitor the whole time, because we do not see any trace of the other clans anywhere.

However, I realized that this might not be entirely true. Remember this guy?

The man in the Black coat, as many have guessed, is Young Master Xehanort, who traveled back in time to steal the Book of Prophecies. Now lemme say this: Isn't it a little coincidental that only a reference to the Unicornus was found in KH2's mansion? And how about this: In the 2.8 trailer, everyone EXCEPT for Unicornus was concerned about some kind of Traitor. The Unicornus only talked about the Book of Prophecies, not any kind of traitor. And what I found even stranger is that the Unicornus is a male, has long silver-white hair, and only the Unicornus has Jaw armor, similar to Vanitas's, while the rest of the clans' Foretellers don't. Not sure what this part might mean, but it could be useful in another theory.

Sorry this is going all over the place, but here's what my speculation is so far: Daybreak Town is Twilight Town in the past, explaining why Chirithy is a Dream Eater. Unicornus is a highly possible traitor. Heartless exist in the Daybreak Town because Xehanort brought them into the past, present and future of some of the worlds, causing Daybreak Town to become Twilight Town in the present. And finally, Xehanort is after the Book of Prophecies, possibly to forge more worlds to collect hearts to forge Kingdom Hearts?

As usual, this is only a theory!

Thanks for taking some time to read this. Oh, and if someone finds some of this info useful, such as maybe the part with the Unicornus Jaw armor looking like Vanitas's, be sure to credit. Have a great day! :)

Holy god! I don't know what to say, hope what you said ends up being what truly happens in the future! :D

Not saying it's a bad theory, or that you're wrong, I just have some counterpints.

This is how a world winds up in the Realm of Sleep.

Step 1. A world is swallowed by Darkness, destroying it.

Step 2. The ruins of that world fall into the realm of Darkness.

Step 3. The world is restored, but unable to return to the Realm of Light for some currently unknown reason. This locks this world in the limbo known as the Realm of Sleep, constantly replaying a dream of the events that transpiered just prior to its fall into Darkness

Going by this, a world can not simultaneously exist in the two realms at once.

The Grid isn't from the future. It's one of the worlds swallowed by the Darkness and not brought back entirely, the world that contained the original Data for Space Paranoids.

Traverse Town is a special world, it's location is not fixed so it appears in whichever realm it's needed at the time.

I don't know how the black hooded figure can be Young Xehanort, for his method of time travel there has to be a version of him at the destination. There can't possibly be one there because it was destroyed long before he was born.

On a personal note, I really hope Unicornis isn't the traitor. That's the Union I want to join.

Daybreak Town could be a sleeping world in it's own right, I doubt it though, so far the Keyblade Graveyard is the only world in the current World that existed before the Keyblade War, so that what I think happened to Daybreak Town.

Idk why I always thought that Daybreak Town was the Keyblade Graveyard before the battle for Kingdom Hearts happened
