So, what's your stance on aliens?

 

 

I think there's bound to be some kind of lifeforms somewhere else in the universe. Hell, for all we know, there could be more humans somewhere out there. We just haven't found them yet.

 

 

I really doubt that if they exist, they're the way they're often depicted in fiction.

Like I said in more detail in the myths and conspiracies thread, Aliens are not ready to formally meet us and we are not ready to formally meet them.

 

I think that there are thousands of planets with basic life and hundreds of planets with actually civilizations. However I doubt there are other Humans out there. In order for that to even be possible we would need a planet with the EXACT same conditions of earth. And we are talking about millions of factors here. The distance from the sun, the gravity of the planet, the gravity of the other planets, the location in the galaxy, the elements that are a part of the planet, asteroids containing the exact same elements, the atmospheric pressure and so on. If I were to list every single factor and print it out I would have about 500 pages and that's with three columns and 5 size font

 

It is EXTREMELY unlikely that there is a planet in the UNIVERSE (let alone our galaxy) that has the exact same conditions as earth and humans on it. Impossible? No. Unlikely? HELL YEAH!

 

And your right, aliens depicted in fiction will be very different on how the appear in real life. For one I can guess that they are almost all peaceful creatures as any war waging race would have annihilated itself long before it would come in contact with aliens. At our current rate we will probably never live amongst the stars with our alien buddies.

 

God I always overdo myself on the topic of Aliens. It's just one of the many things I find extremely fascinating lol.
