Biography- Aya lost her virginity at the age of 10 years old to her father's brother, Charles. Due to her parent's work, her mother running a clothing line and her father working for the Queen, they were completely unaware.
Aya was continuously sexually abused by her uncle's hand, and too scared to speak up about it. It only grew worse when Aya's mother died due to fever.
After Viscount Alexander Everus was killed, Uncle Charles insisted he was chosen as the new watchdog. The Queen refused, for Charles was a second born. Uncle Charles was furious, and Aya was thrown out into the streets.
A brothel picked Aya up, however she at first did not know that they were not only a brothel, but ALSO a cult. They were against the Queen, and held interest in black magic. After Charles happened to step into the brothel one day, he informed the owner that Aya was an Everus.
They instantly treated Aya like slum, making her work for them as a prostitute. This happened on her 15th birthday. Charles started working for the brothel, and made Aya's life hell. That is when she made her decision. She wished things were like back then, before her abuse. Aya "accidentally" summoned something she would regret for the rest of her life, using the black magic of the cult. She summoned the high demon, "Veran Sterben".

"You make wedding dresses?" Aya asked, rather surprised.

It was an absolutely beautiful dress, Samael was amazing at what he did, and he did it fast.

"I usually just make casual women's clothes and the occasional ball gown..." she muttered.

"We should do a collaboration project some time!" Aya proposed, looking around the office.

Veran, personally, didn't want to hear any of Alexander's crap.

"When your precious master gets sick, don't come crying to me." He warned, not helping Alexander.

Samael smiled as he crossed his arms. "I just started doing them a few weeks ago, actually. Madam Valentine wanted a custom made dress for her wedding. Maybe after she wears this one I could do a collection." Samael hummed. He heard Aya's suggestion for a collaboration and he gasped, smiling as he nodded happily. "That would be wonderful! We could do personal patterns and accessories to match! That would be so much fun!" Samael said with a squeal. A collaboration between the two? That would be like a date! Except with work. A work date! There was a gentle knock at the door, a maid bowing her head. "Lord Samael, Lady Aya, breakfast is ready." The maid said. "Thanks for telling us." Samael said as he stood up from his chair and walked over to Aya. "Let's go eat. I bet you're hungry by now." Samael said with a childish smile.

Alexander's eyes twitched as he hissed at Veran. "Good! Because I won't be asking you for help! Because he won't be getting sick on my watch!" Alexander barked at Veran, settling down a large glass of milk on the table, which was promptly taken by Catarina, who then hid under the table to drink it.

Aya was excited about the future collaboration.

"I'll have a date scheduled soon." She said with a soft smile, then the maid arriving.

"Thank you very much." She said kindly.

"Well just for your information Alexander, you know I could easily--" Veran was cut off by Aya and Samael entering the room.

"Aya after you finish your breakfast, we will be headed to the manor." He insist.

Samael smiled. "Thank you for the food Alexander!" Samael said as he began to chow down. He looked up at Veran and waved at him. "Before you leave, there is another letter from the queen." Samael said, waving as one of the maids offered the letter to Veran. The letter read as such;

'Dear Aya

I have heard what you have done in the process of solving the mystery at the academy. I do not have any anger nor there won't be anything to worry about. In fact I am glad that you have taken care of such a problem so thoroughly. It is better to get rid of a complete infestation than to let one live and risk of it sprouting again. Whether some of them were humans won't matter. They were orphans after all. None of them will be missed by anyone. Now I ask of you to solve one more mystery for me. There is a town who we cannot contact. All messengers and guards go to the town, and none have ever come back. I've even sent one of my most trusted knights, and he hasn't come back either. I want for you to investigate this town and find out why has communications have ceased, and where have my men gone. Surely you will be able to solve it in no time. I have included a map to the town's location. Until next time, Lady Aya.

- Her highness'

Alexander gritted his teeth, grabbing the nearest fork and dashing towards Veran. Samael watched amused, knowing that Veran wouldn't be hurt. Veran was too strong for that.

"Thank you for the food, Alexander and Veran." Aya thanked.

"Alexander didn't want me cooking it since this is the Pandora mansion." Veran informed.

"Well thank you anyways Alexander." She said, taking a couple of bites.

It still wasn't as good as Veran's food. Aya remembered the lack of skills Veran had when he first came to her and started working for her. All the damn demon knew how to do was kill, but Aya, even at her younger age, informed Veran how to do almost everything from dressing properly to tying a corset...she might have gone a little overboard on the latter, as he is highly amused at the idea of corsets.

Once Samael said the Queen had yet another letter, Aya put down her fork, Veran handing Aya the letter.

She read it rather quickly, and was surprised the Queen wasn't mad at her. Aya then sighed.

"She wants me to go in a town where even her best knights have disappeared? Well doesn't she just want me dead..." Aya kind of giggled, handing the letter back to Veran.

As soon as she did, Alexander, well, Alexander expressed his anger. Personally Aya was not surprised whatsoever. Veran is a very frustrating person and has probably been taunting and bothering Alexander since they got here.

Alexander preceded to pick up a fork...and Veran allowed Alexander to stab him.

Veran looked down at the fork now in his skin, there was no visible blood though, that would ruin breakfast. He then looked back up to Alexander with dark fuchsia eyes, a look of hell on his face.

"What a bold move that was, Howle." Veran applaud, addressing Alexander by last name.

"If you post a threat to me, Alexander, you pose a threat to my master. You are not to come to our manor, at least for the next couple of days. Samael is welcome to come, but nobody is allowed there when we are away. If you continue with your...obstructing actions, you might just receive a little bit of...punishment." Veran pulled the fork out in a swift motion, forgetting that blood would spoil dinner. His blood splattered onto Alexander's face as he gave him the fork back.

Blood didn't ruin the mood, after all, it was Veran's blood, something seen not very often, and something that had Aya laughing.

Alexander glared. Damn this demon. Damn him and all like him. He was in his manor, thinking he owned the place, and now he dare to threaten him?! Well, he was the one who attacked first, but still! "You...!!!" Alexander hissed. "Alexander." Samael said, trying to not giggle as he drank his milk. "Don't stab him again. He's our guest right now, you know." Samael said as he gave Alexander his grand puppy eyes. Just like that Alexander's tough exterior melted. Anything for Samael. "...yes Samael." Alexander said as he used a hanker chief to wipe away the blood from his face. He glared at Veran. "I'll play your little game. But lay a hand on Samael and not even the queen will be able to save you." Alexander hissed as he walked away, walking over to Samael's side almost like a puppy to his master. "You are the first watchdog after the death of your dad. Many cases must have been backed up until the queen was able to ask you to become the new one. Hopefully she will give you a break when you return." Samael said cheerfully.

(I ship them so hard)

"If you lay a hand on Aya, I hope you enjoy how stunning hell is." Veran spat, biting his tongue on stunning.

"Hopefully she will give me a break." Aya sighed, then finishing up her meal.

It wasn't as good as Veran's food, but it was tolerable.

"We will be going now." Veran spoke to Samael.

"Thank you for letting us stay the night Samael. I'll drop by once this mission is over!" Aya curtseyed slightly to Samael.

"We will continue this game once I lay my eyes on you disgrace of a butler again." Veran threatened, but also teased.

"We'll see you guys soon." Aya quickly said afterwards.

With that, the two were gone.

Veran and Aya traveled back to the manor to pick up some things and meet back up with Wulfric.

That's it. Alexander was this close to just about launch himself at Veran. If he was going to end up in hell he was dragging that prissy butler with him. However he was stopped the moment Samael reached out and grabbed his hand to keep him from running after Veran. "See ya, Aya, Veran! Good luck!" Samael said as he waved. He looked over at Alexander and smiled at him. "Can you fill up a bath for me? Please? With petals and oils." Samael asked. Alexander blinked and nodded. "Right away, Samael." Alexander said, for the moment forgetting about Veran, and paying his attention to Samael. Samael watched him go, chuckling to himself as he settled down the silverware. He thought for a moment before gasping. "I should ask her on a date!"

Meanwhile back at the manor, Wulfric was walking all over the place, sniffing around, looking for anything out of place. He chased a few insects and bunnies around the property, but lost them once he ran right into a tree. He could smell Aya reaching the property, walking over to the front to greet her and Veran. He was clothed, but still walked on his four much like he would in his natural state. "Welcome back! Woof!" Wulfric said happily as he ran up to the two.

  • Author

Veran chuckled a bit at Wulfric, he was nowhere near a professional yet, but at least he was wearing clothes.

"Hello Wulfric." Aya said kindly, patting him on the head.

The two calmly headed inside with Wulfric, everything seemed in order.

Veran studied the map as the maids went off with Aya to get some clothes for the trip. She didn't want any peasant like clothing, she wanted something rather noble and extravagant. Something that screamed "I work for the Queen".

She changed clothes, and walked downstairs to meet Veran. Veran had also changed clothes, and had a small bag with him, consisting mostly of bullets.

"It won't take us long to get to to village by carriage." Veran intoned, then turning to Aya.

Aya was definitely wearing something that screamed "I work for the Queen".

"You're wearing that?" Veran asked rather curiously.

"Yes." Aya declared, Veran going behind her and fixing up her straps and bows.

"Wulfric, would you not mind watching the house again? I'm sorry we have to leave so soon, but it is rather an important matter."

The carriage was already getting ready by the maids, and they would leave immediately.

Wulfric scratched himself as he looked up at Aya and nodded. "I'll watch over this place with my life, lady Aya!" Wulfric said as he rubbed against her. "I wil chase away any bad guys that anyone tries to enter! You have another mission for the queen, right? You're so awfully busy! Be careful on your way there. Come back safe, yes? If you die this house will be feeling very lonely." Wulfric said as he walked over to Veran, rubbing against him as well. "Watch over Aya! She's really cute and having her die so young would be a darn shame." Wulfric purred, walking off as he sat on the floor in front of the two. "You need to remember, Aya. You are sent to these missions because it is speculated that the source of these problems are supernatural, something that humans cannot comprehend nor handle on their own. You have to remember that even with Veran, you could be the only human in the room and not even know it." Wulfric said, trying to give any words of wisdom before sending her off.

  • Author

"Thank you Wulfric, I'll try to be extra careful. Even without Veran, I still try my hardest." Aya brushed some of Wulfric's hair out of his face and behind his ear.

"I won't die so easily, especially while in Veran's hands." She said softly, a kind look on her face.

Veran and Aya then exit, heading out to the carriage. Veran stopped Aya before they came into the carriage, fastening a white medical eye patch over her left eye.

"You don't want to be showing this off when we arrive at the village ." Veran informed, then letting her in the carriage.

Veran would drive the carriage, it looking as pristine as it could.

With a flick of the wrist, Veran was off to the village.

It wouldn't take them long to arrive, but what were they getting themselves into?

The further they traveled, deeper into the road, the darker the area seemed to become. Soon enough, some fog began to appear out of nowhere. The deeper they went, the thicker the fog became, until eventually it seemed unavoidable, and had no choice but to keep moving forward. The fog became thicker and thicker, the carriage riding through it before it disappeared from sight...soon they emerged from the fog to find themselves riding on a cobblestone bridge, leaving the fog behind them as it seemed to stay put from where they submerged. At the other end of the bridge was a rather normal looking victorian town. Large houses, people walking, right in the middle a large plaza with a gorgeous fountain that served as a marketplace, bustling with activity. Carriages traveling here and there, helping carrying items and merchandise or simply giving people rides. It appeared...absolutely normal. However as with all towns, someone new always draws attention. People glanced up, awing at the pretty carriage as some waved at Veran who was driving by before continuing their route. Some children began to playfully chase after the carriage, trying to catch a ride by hopping onto the back. The sky was blue, the sun was shinning down with warmth. This was the town...but it was so...normal.

  • Author

The fog concerned Aya, but as soon as they reached a point, it completely disappeared. That was very eerie, and mysterious.

However the town on the other side, seemed to be happy. Something was definitely wrong here.

The carriage came to a stop and Aya heard Veran exchanging some words with a stable master.

"Thank you sir." Veran said, handing the man some coins.

It was a little bit too much, but he didn't mind.

Veran knocked on the carriage door, letting Aya know he was opening up. Veran took Aya's hand, and helped her step out of the carriage. She looked around at the dainty town, admiring some of the kids and others.

"Where should we even start?" Aya muttered to herself.

"Probably locating the knights, but we shouldn't be to obvious. We need to settle in as well as we can." Veran informed Aya.

Aya nodded slightly.

"We'll get something from the Market, whoever has been hiding these knights could be anywhere." Aya concluded.

Veran nodded, the two headed into the Marketplace, Aya looking for some type of chocolate or something Samael might like. She might get something for Wulfric too.

Veran stayed close to Aya, his eyes glancing over as many people as possible.

Something was definitely not right about this town.

The market was bustling. Merchants sold produces from their farms and other things that they made. Others sold meats of all kind. There was chocolate. Yes, even chocolate. The chocolate stand served some delicious smelling, and tasting chocolate made on the spot, with lots of sugar. Very tasty. Families walked around, doing their shopping. The buildings around the market were shops themselves, such as a carpenter and a clothing store and many other things. Children played around the crystal clear fountain. "You can't catch me, you can't catch me!" One of the squealed. Some people glanced over at Aya and Veran, taking note of how they weren't from around here. But it wasn't ominous...more like curious. Some young ladies were even glancing at Veran while blushing and whispering to each other. It was such a calm atmosphere. It was almost to the point of idealistic. "Look, they're not from here." "Her dress is so pretty!" Two of the girls whispered to each other in awe as they also admired at Aya. Among the marketplace, a familiar symbol could be seen. On the shirt of a man, the symbol of the queen was displayed proudly on its shoulder. One of the knights. However he didn't seemed distressed at all. He was actually preoccupied while holding hands with a woman...and carrying a little boy over his shoulders. "What should we get today? Your old man asked me to get some feed or the chickens too." The knight said, smiling over at the woman as the little kid held onto him happily.

  • Author

It didn't take Veran two seconds to recognize that the man was a knight, him touching Aya's shoulder.

"Aya." He said low, Aya glancing around and finding the knight easily.

It was best they didn't bother him, but it was nice to see that he was safe.

"I'm going to shop some and I want you to talk to some ladies and see if they have any information. Just ask if they have seen anything suspicious and don't draw too much attention. I might go in the clothing store to show off that I am here." Aya informed Veran.

Veran nodded, "Understood".

Veran walked off casually as Aya bought some things of chocolate for Samael, Veran walking right past the knight, not sensing anything off. He approached some women who were looking at him a bit earlier.

"What are two beautiful women doing out here by yourselves~?" He charmed, giving a rather innocent s me, but it really was not innocent at all.

Aya had wondered into the woman's clothing store that was nearby, browsing around for a bit. The store in fact carried both the Everus line and the Pandora Line.

She approached the woman at the counter.

"Do you guys carry Everus dresses?" She asked curiously, even though she knew the answer.

Drawing attention was what they needed to do, but they also needed to blend in.

Edited by Madam Ciel Nekohive

The young ladies blushed and chuckled. "Well we're just spending the day around, as usual." One of them said. The other, proving to be more outgoing, stepped closer. "Are you going to move here then? You did come through the fog after all. So returning home will be impossible. Maybe I can show you around?" The young lady said with a wink. The other one quickly hushed her. "Don't scare him like that. Sure if he wants to leave he could ask the lord...though I bet you would like living here. We're so far away from the city, crime never happens here at all...it's always nice to meet someone new in this town." The other one said, smiling genuinely at Veran. "Was that little girl with you your sister? She looks around the lord's age."

The middle aged woman looked up, smiling. "Yeah. We've got some left." The woman said as she walked from behind the counter and walked over to a few areas of dresses. "All of these are Evarus. You can tell by the tag of the clothing on the neck area. Very pretty stuff. I bet these are outdated compared to the ones in the city though. I haven't sent someone to get a new batch in over a year. These Evarus are like the high class clothing around here, you know." The old woman said happily before looking over at Aya. "I've never seen your cute little face around here before. Are you new?" The lady asked. "You came through the fog didn't you? My by the time I leave this world a whole new generation would have moved here huh?" The old woman cooed. The clothing were indeed out of season. In fact...these were out of season for over a year ago, easily.

"You ladies may not believe this, but I actually work for her. She's quite the brat." Veran smirked to the ladies, enjoying talking a little bit of crap about Aya.

"The Lord? Me and my lady were interested in this place, but I failed to realize there was a Lord here." That was interesting. Very interesting.

"I failed to introduce myself. My name is Veran Sterben, nice to meet you ladies." He bowed slightly to them.

"Just a little outdated. Everus doesn't release clothing often...." Aya muttered, chucking slightly.

"I did come from the fog, and you haven't seen me unless you've been in the city." She ran her hands down the lace of the dress, slightly mocking her work.

"I am Aya Everus. It is nice to be in a small village like this. I wanted away from the city." Aya suddenly said, revealing her name.

The ladies smiled. "I am Hanna Borden. This is my sister Ana Borden." Hanna introduced. "We're twins." Anna added. "If you want to live here it is a great place to stay! Sure there isn't much to do once you memorize the entire place, but that's why we're all together. We can make stuff fun." Hanna said with a smile. Anna pointed out the market. "The lord would be more than happy to help you settle down. He's very kind, and loves newcomers. It has been a while since a child around his age has appeared, he would be ecstatic." Anna said as she walked closer to Veran. "So?~ Does this mean that you may be available for courtship?" Anna said as she purred towards Veran. "Anna don't hit on the new guy, you'll make him want to leave!" Hanna insisted, a blush on her face from embarrassment.

The woman blinked a few times before awing. "You're Aya Evarus? You're so young! You're around the master's age, actually. I never expected you to be so young after hearing so much." The woman gasped as she smiled. "Well welcome to Maple Town, Aya." The lady said as she introduced herself. "I am Joann, the owner of this tailor shop. However...are you sure someone like you would like to move here?" Joann asked, looking rather nervously. "After all, you can't exit back out once you enter through the fog. Trust me. Those knight guys have tried for months."

  • Author

"It's nice to meet you Joann."

"Why can't you leave?" Aya asked suddenly.

If that was true, there was something in that fog. Veran would have to try to get out. Maybe he could achieve it.

Veran, on the other hand, was entranced by these girls.

"I bet my lady would enjoy meeting the master. Could we set visit him?" Veran asked, looking at both of them.

He then chuckled slightly at Hanna.

"Don't worry girls, I don't leave so easily. Also...about courtship...It's not very polite for a man to just go about courting any lady he sees, so we can let that wait for a little bit." Veran assured, allowing the girls to get up on him.

He just needed to get Aya to meet this "master".

"Well, because if you go through the fog, you'll end up going in circles and coming back into the village." Joann explained. "It's always been that way. It's scary but we've all gotten so used to it. It's not bad. We live happily. Only once every few times does some manage to escape through the other side. The lord tries to do all these rituals to help with the dog but I don't think he's working. He tries though. The poor dear tries very much trying to fill in his father's shoes." Joann said happily. "Not that we need to go out. We've been able to survive well so far. No crime. No hunger. No sickness. This place is great." Joann said, sounding genuine.

Hanna quickly grabbed Anna. "We understand completely. We should give you a chance to meet up with the lord. He lives on the manor up the hill. Just walk up and knock on the door and he'll let you right in. He's really sweet!" Hanna said as she began to pull away on her sister. "Come on Anna, let's go back home." Hanna insisted, Anna waving goodbye at Veran. This place was perfect. Too perfect to be real.

Veran waved goodbye to the ladies, then dropped his hand. They needed to go see this "master".  He calmly walked over to the clothing shop, just knowing Aya was in there. He walked in to see Aya conversing with an older lady.

"Aya." Veran called to her.

Aya suddenly dropped the conversation with Joann, turning to Veran.

"I have to go, see you tomorrow Joann." she said, waving goodbye to the woman.

Veran and Aya exit the clothing shop, things were starting to calm down in the city.

"Apparently there is a lord in this town." the both said together.

"I know where to visit him. Do you think that he has anything to do with the knights?" Veran asked.

"I do not know, we will have to go see." Aya looked towards some people walking about.

Veran lead Aya to the mansion, it wasn't that long of a walk surprisingly. Veran knocked on the big, heavy door, unaware of what was behind it.

The doors opened, showing a grand manor inside. "Come in, I'll be right down!" A voice echoed. It was a rather elegant interior, much with everything else that a manor usually has. From the stairs a young, elegant looking boy walked down. Just like they had all said, he looked around Aya's age. "Are you two new comers?" The young lord asked, smiling as he ran over to the two. His cheeks seemed to flush and his eyes to gleam once he landed his eyes on Aya. "Wow, and you're just around my age too! Nice to meet you! I'm Alabaster! Welcome to Maple Town!" The young boy said as he shook Aya's hand and then Veran's hand. "Did you guys come to stay here to live? Or did you happen to wonder into the town? Either way getting out of it is a bit tricky." Alabaster said as he stepped back a bit. "I'm the lord of this town. My dad was the previous lord, but he passed away a few months ago. Hopefully I'll be able to help you out." Alabaster said, not being able to take his eyes of Aya.

"Nice to meet you Alabaster. I am Aya Everus, it is nice to see someone around my age here..." Aya admitted.

"I am Veran Sterben. Lady Aya wanted to leave the city for a while, so we came here." Veran introduced.

"I have heard it isn't that easy to get out of here...." Aya sighed, looking at Alabaster.

"As you may know, I am owner of the Everus clothing line, I am planning on releasing a boys line soon. Would you be interested in it?" she then asked.

'She's planning on using him for marketing purposes? We just need to get out of here.' Veran sighed lightly.

Alabaster's eyes gleamed. "Wow! The Aya Evarus! Your dresses are the most beautiful clothing found in this town, you know!" Alabaster said. Once she mentioned about the boy clothing line, Alabaster was beyond excited. "I would LOVE to! Yes please! It's like a dream come true!" Alabaster said as he smiled. "Do you wish to stay the night here? We can start preparing a plot of land for you to start building your new house, unless you want some of the few vacant houses we have around. You should stay for dinner! Be my guest for the night and all! Of course mister Veran too." Alabaster said as he stepped back. There was a large portrait on the staircase, with a painting of Alabaster and what seemed to be his parents. However the painting seemed old. Ages old...and compared to it Alabaster hadn't aged a day. "So? Stay here for the night? You happen to come around the harvest festival, so we can watch some festivities from here. I'll even get us some local food for dinner." Alabaster said, his eyes gleaming as he smiled.

"We can stay here for the night if that is okay with you." Aya accepted the offer.

They really did not want a house here in this town, as they were only sent here to investigate. The way people treated each other here was insanely mysterious.

"U-Um I really dont plan on staying here long enough to have a home here..." Aya said softly, but loud enough for Alabaster to hear.

"I'm sorry Alabaster. I'll make sure my boy clothing line will come to you though." Aya tried reassuring the boy, as he was their only hope of getting out of here...but they needed to know what was up with these knights.

"Also, Alabaster. While in town today, I couldn't help but notice the presence of knights. Why are they in this small town? Don't you think the Queen is worried about them?" Aya confessed that she saw the knights, slightly afraid of the response the boy would give her.
