Lady Aleister 1,677 Posted October 7, 2016 That was enough information fed into Aya's brain to where she just kind of shook her head. "Waaiiitt...four hourses and the world ending...that doesn't really sound right..." the alcohol was clearing out of her head. "Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse??!" She then realized what the heck Nikolai was trying to say. "The world is gonna end?!" She was yelling. "Aya calm down." Veran insist, looking at his master being as stupid as she could be. "How am I the only demon in the living world powerful enough to stop it?? I know that there are imps and other demons...but if I am the only one in the living world powerful enough...that means that all the other upper-class demons have gone back to hell. Even contacted demons like me must have killed their masters...and gone back." Veran lay his eyes on Aya. Yes, he was a demon...an upper-class one. He was a contracted demon, and ravenous for souls. However, Veran knew that he could not harm this girl. For she had trusted him with every fiber of her being...and as a human, Veran had never felt that. Though Aya's life has been hard, Veran wanted to make it the best he possibly could. "How much time do we have?" The man's eyes turned to the reaper, his hands trembling the slightest. For once in his life as a demon...Veran was the slightest bit scared. If Nikolai saw this fear...he would probably laugh. Demons had a choice whether or not to show emotion. However, Veran chose to. "What can I even do in the first place? The giant is a massive sight to behold. It's a laughing matter to even think about one demon destroying that thing!" He was losing it. "Veraaann...if you can keep bad things away from me...I think you can do it." Aya gave a carefree smile to her servant. But..how can Veran do it...?
Stardustblade358 806 Posted October 8, 2016 Nikolai sighed. "We have a few months. Less than a year, I estimate." Nikolai bit his lip slightly. "Everyone else has gone to hell, not wanting to get involved in such maters. You must help with this, Veran. The responsibility has fallen on you." "Feeling sorry for you, Veran. And I only just met you." Mattias said with a chuckle. "Indeed. Good luck what that, Veran." Ludwig said as he poured himself another drink. "Do not worry, Veran. I will take it upon myself to help you. I don't want to see this world end so early in its cycle." Nikolai assured as he glanced at Aya and then back at Veran. "I have a friend inside the Grim Reaper Association. He is going to gather the profiles of the four horsemen and their current identities, and give them to you to track them down. The specifics are still vague, but I shall have the information needed by the time you return to England." Nikolai assured as he took another drink. "It's amazing." Antonio said, wrapping an arm around Veran. "You're now going to save the world from eminent destruction! You will be remembered as the demon who actually did good instead of bad! You're not that scary when you want to be, Veran!" Antonio laughed, resting his head against Veran's as he continued to tease the demon. Nikolai could feel his own health declining from the stress of it all. He had been trying very hard to do what he could with the limited power he had as an outcast of the Grim Reaper society. Sometimes he felt it wasn't enough. "Don't worry Veran I promise you to take you on vacation after this." Nikolai teased, watching amused as Antonio rubbed his head against Veran. "So...will you accept the task to save the world?"
Lady Aleister 1,677 Posted October 9, 2016 Veran pushed Antonio off of him easily, his eyes on Nikolai. "Drop the information by the Everus manor as soon as possible." he instructed. "I will take on this task...but if anything happens that is not predicted, I will have you dead before you can say one word of apology." he growled under his breath. "So scarryyy~ Isn't he Antooonio~?" Aya was still messed up. "Aya now is not the time for you to be so carefree." Veran looked down at his master with scary eyes. "I can be carefree~" she insist, her eyes turning to Antonio. "Can't I be carefree? Like a pirate!"
Stardustblade358 806 Posted October 11, 2016 Nikolai threw his arms into the air. "I wouldn't want to get on your bade side, Veran." Nikolai said. Yes, he could have just kept his mouth shut and simply went on with his after life, all while allowing this world to burn. But there was a problem, he had come to love this world, and its people, and he would be dammed if he allowed it to end without him trying to stop it in any way, shape or form. Antonio didn't hesitate to agree with Aya, pushing Veran away from Aya and taking her hands. "Yeah! You can stay here and be carefree with us! You can be the first pirate in over a few centuries!" Antonio cheered. Ludwig turned and looked back at a few pirates, catching their attention with a sharp whistle. "Give us a song lads!" Ludwig ordered. The pirates were more than happy to oblige. They scurried to pick up their instruments, taking some seats before they began to play to a tune, the others following along. One of the women pirates took off her hat, throwing it off into the hair before she began to sing. "A soldier lad came here last night, with riding he was weary!~ A soldier lad came here last night, and the moon was shining clearly~" The woman sang, everyone else smiling as others even sang along. Antonio grabbed Aya by the hips, picking her up into the air and setting her on the table. He then kicked a chair to face him, stepping on it before stepping onto the wooden table to join Aya, the pirates picking up their drinks to keep them from Antonio kicking them off. Antonio smiled at Aya, taking her hands and beginning to dance with her on the table, tapping his boots against the wooden surface while careful to keep Aya from falling off. Arturo and the pirates laughed, smiling as they clapped and overall continued to be jolly despite just hearing about the end of the world being ever so near. Then again, they were already dead. The world ending or not didn't mean much to them.--- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iPoMUPZWUIE
Lady Aleister 1,677 Posted October 11, 2016 (edited) One second the pirates were serious...then they were off dancing again. With his master in the hands of the captain. The music was loud and the mood was happy. The mood was happy on all but Veran. He sat with his arms crossed as the music went on, getting just more aggravated. As his anger built, the faintest bit of his dark aura began to show around him, dark tendrils beginning to crawl up his chair. "Shut this party down, now." Veran's voice boomed out, the music abruptly coming to a stop as the singer stopped dancing, Aya caught by Antonio in a dip. "I understand that you are all dead-- but this is not a happy matter. You may be dead, but the world you live in will be destroyed along with every other person on Earth." he stood slowly, his fangs peeking from his mouth as he spoke. "Aweeee...Veran you ruined the partyy..." Aya complaint. Veran's eyes turned to Aya, giving her a look of just disgust. She was dancing knowing the world was going to end...yes she was drunk...but she was acting so carefree and not like herself at all. It showed him how careless a human is. "Take your dirtied hands away from my master now. I don't want a disgusting sod with his hands on her." Veran insulted, his eyes back on Antonio. Stardustblade358 806 Posted October 11, 2016 Everyone turned their heads to Veran, who's voice boomed loudly to shut the celebration down. Nikolai could feel the tension rise suddenly, becoming thick with anger towards Veran. For one, he was an outsider. Two, no one told a pirate what to do, especially a pirate captain. Antonio watched in awe, holding Aya close as he saw the anger that a demon was capable of. His fangs were out, and his voice growled with absolutely rage. It was close to simply going off into a berk episode if Veran felt like it. However the straw that broke the camel's back was when Veran said what he said to Antonio. His own men gasped in horror, the other captain's eyes widening as one of them stood up. Antonio's eyes widened before narrowing down at Veran. If they hadn't seen the pirate angry before, he definitely was now, if not insulted. "How dare you-!" Antonio began, but he wouldn't be the one to stomp his foot down. Suddenly, Arturo stood in between Antonio and Veran, facing Veran as he had his gun at hand. With two clicks, two loud bangs followed, Arturo shooting Veran twice right in the abdomen. Now, normally bullets wouldn't do a thing...but these were Veran's own demon bullets, stolen from him when he was too busy while talking to Arturo. Sneaky pirates would always be sneaky, and no one is a better thief and pickpocket than a pirate. As blood began to surge from Veran's wounds, Arturo never left his glare from Veran, lifting his gun up to aim at his face. "Don't you dare say such filthy insults to the captain you sea dog." Arturo hissed, apparently ten times angrier than Antonio himself. "You may be a demon but right here, right now, you are nothing but a guest, and intruder, and you WILL bid by our laws, OR YOU CAN WALK THE PLANK!" Arturo screamed, a few other pirates itching to join him to beat Veran up for insulting their captain. "Enough!" Antonio screamed, his voice booming over that of his men. "We will not turn to mutiny, for the sake of his master." Antonio said, stepping off the table and helping Aya down. "...but he will not be allowed to get away with it." Antonio huffed, glaring at Veran. Nikolai could only drink his drink in complete awkwardness.
Lady Aleister 1,677 Posted October 11, 2016 (edited) Well that escalated quickly. With two shots, Veran was down, his body brought to the ground by the force of his bullets. With him on the ground, Aya's carefree attitude flew out the window. "The plank won't do a damn thing to me." Veran hissed as he brought his eyes to look at Arturo. His hands pressed against his wounds, his white gloves dyed red within seconds. This pain...how nogalistic. It burned. Like a thousand embers thrown onto a child. "I've experimented with those bullets a bit...but have not yet felt the full force of them." he gasped, like a human who had been hurt. Veran was vulnerable once more. As long as Arturo had hold of those bullets, Veran could not do a thing. Aya had her eyes suddenly on Arturo. Her gun wouldn't do a thing to the pirates. "Forgive him, he looses his temper a lot. Even with me he does!" Aya plead, looking to Arturo. One second she was happy and dancing drunk, the next second she was filled with fear, her butler on the ground greatly wounded by his own weapon. "Veran-- get up. You can handle this!" Aya tried to encourage. No response. He was indeed conscious however. "Veran listen to me." her words were a bit harsher. No response yet again. "Veran Sterben veranstalten diesen Moment. Ich weiß, dass sie Sie mit Ihren eigenen Kugeln ... verletzen können aber sie mich mit irgendetwas verletzen können, dass sie auf ihnen in diesem Augenblick haben. Wenn sie sehen, dass Sie nutzlos sind, und Rache auf Ihnen ... wollen, werden sie sich mir zuwenden. Stehen Sie jetzt auf. Das ist eine Ordnung Veran!" Aya suddenly yelled at her butler in German. It was a bit drawn out and not perfect, the pirates could probably tell it was not her first language...but Aya did not want the pirates to know what she was saying. Veran sat up slowly, blood still seeping from his wound as he leaned against the table. "If I am not to get away with it, do what you must do...you pirates should know to not be so carefree...even if you are dead. Just...don't you dare lay a hand on Aya. And know...that you have a chance on killing the thing that could save the world from destruction." he eyed Arturo, Aya looking at Veran, obviously worried. (The german yelling...bullets translates into balls what the heck. "Veran Sterben get up this instant. I know that they can hurt you with your own bullets...but they can hurt me with anything they have on them right now. If they see that you are useless, and want revenge on you...they will turn to me. Get up now. That is an order Veran!" ) Edited October 12, 2016 by Madam Ciel Nekohive
Stardustblade358 806 Posted October 15, 2016 The pirates glared down at Veran. His insult towards Antonio was simply something that they considered out of line, and something that they would end up killing for. Antonio had his arms crossed. Arturo looked at Veran wanting to shoot a hole in between his eyes. "You filthy demon think you can say what you want and get away with it-" Arturo hissed, only calming down when he heard Antonio tapping his boot against the floor. Arturo's eyes only softened for Antonio. "Antonio..." "Don't. Say. A. Word." Antonio hissed. His own urge was between killing them both or keep his cool and let it go. And man, he really didn't want to let it go this time. Ludwig stood up, walking over to Antonio before whispering into his ear. "Antonio. The girl is afraid of her own safety." Ludwig spoke, recognizing a struggle of his native tongue. Antonio looked over at Aya, huffing for a moment before turning for his attention back to Veran. Fine. If he was going to be that way, Antonio would make him work for his forgiveness. "I will not lay a hand on lady Aya. That is not how a gentleman pirate works." Antonio insisted, looking over at Aya. "Because you have apologized so quickly, I will give you guys a chance to make it up to me after such horrendous words your demon has told me." Antonio said as he waved his hands at Arturo, signaling him to step away from Veran. Arturo did so hesitantly. "You two will be staying here for the night and help me with a mission tomorrow morning. Tomorrow, you two will learn the true meaning of being pirates." Antonio hissed. There was no yes or no answer to this. Just yes. No talking their way out of this one. One wrong comment and these pirates were ready to show what they were made of. "My men will show you to a room in our ship for you to sleep in when you're ready. You better show us you're worth of forgiveness. Otherwise you won't be returning to London for a long, long time!" Antonio hissed, and with that, he turned on his heels, walking away to somewhere in the island to be alone. Arturo's eyes softened as he followed behind his husband, knowing that he had gone off to do one thing; let out steam. The rest of the pirates went on to resume with their business. Ludwig walked over to Aya and Veran. "...will he live?"
Lady Aleister 1,677 Posted October 15, 2016 'No wonder everyone wanted to get rid of pirates.' Veran couldn't help but think. "Yes sir." it was all Aya could say as she fell silent and looked over to Veran. He was pissed to say the least. Not saying a word and keeping his eyes averted, the blood slowing down its flow. "He'll be okay I think. He can handle it." Aya cleared her throat, looking at Ludwig as she spoke. Veran was about to say something but stopped himself, pulling himself slowly up using the table to help him, in his hands the two bullets. Gaining his composure some, he approached Aya slowly, Aya stepping away a little bit from him. "Return these to Antonio if you would please. A little present to him." Veran dropped the bullets into Ludwig's hand. "du sprichst Deutsch?" Veran then asked, his eyes meeting Ludwigs as he pulled his bloodied gloves off his hands, Aya watching Veran's every move. "Unterrichten Sie sie mehr, sie ist schrecklich. Ich bin deutscher geborener ... aber unterrichtend, dass dieser Bengel naher Unmöglicher ist." the demon said, chucking as he looked down to Veran. Aya picked up a few words. "What is that supposed to mean?!" she then snapped at him. Veran turned his gaze to lay on her. "What I just said was the truth." what a devil he was. (Translation- du sprichst Deutsch?= You speak German? Unterrichten Sie sie mehr, sie ist schrecklich. Ich bin deutscher geborener ... aber unterrichtend, dass dieser Bengel naher Unmöglicher ist.= Teach her more, she's terrible. I am German born...but teaching this brat is near impossible.) Stardustblade358 806 Posted October 15, 2016 -The Next Day- A night of sleeping and rest was more than enough to quell the anger that had built up in the fight from last night. Not to mention the alcohol helped a lot too. Antonio was a very merciful captain. He was loved by his crew and mates, and had been known to spare women and children in their raids for treasure and gold. But such as benevolent as he was, he could also be heartless and manipulative. Anyone who managed to get on his bad side were usually thrown into a pool of piranha, sharks...one time this one guy said something about Arturo that rubbed Antonio the wrong way and he ended up leaving the guy in a hanging cage to starve to death. Everyone was surprised that they didn't just ended up torturing Veran after last night. But the rest of the captains were able to convince him that the demon could come to some actual use, and Antonio was more than happy to put such to a test. Veran and Aya were set to sleep in one of the large rooms which the crew would share, dozens of hammocks and beds, one next to the other lined up so they could have a place to sleep. The moment the sun rose from the horizon, they were all abruptly woken up by one of the members playing the loudest, off tune trumpet one could possibly muster. "RISE AND SHINE! TIME TO GET READY TO SAIL!" The pirate yelled. Pirates yawned and got onto their feet, beginning to walk out to their usual positions. The pirate walked over to Aya and Veran. "The captain is waiting for you upstairs. He wants to serve you breakfast, seeing how you have to eat as you're alive." He said and like that, walked away. They could already hear pirates talking outside, the sound of the water crashing into the shore, some complaining at the seagulls picking at their clothes. Just another normal day. Lady Aleister 1,677 Posted October 16, 2016 Aya suffered an almost entirely sleepless night, Veran actually allowing himself to sleep to where he could heal some. Aya had her coat over her head as the morning arose, Veran lending Aya his tailcoat sometime during the night, her with that around her body trying to keep her warm. Veran was quick to change into a fresh uniform, practically within the blink of an eye and the ruffle of some clothes in a suitcase he was ready. The gunshot wounds he withstand would leave a scar. Walking softly to the hammock Aya had to situate in. "Aya...I know it is early but you must rise." Veran nudged her slightly, her pulling the coat away from her face and her eyes gazing on Veran. "Veran...I want to go back home." she immediately complaint. Veran look at her with pity. "I know...but we have to follow Antonio's request." he kept his eyes on her. "No we don't-- you're fast enough, you could take me and we could be back in London within minuets." Aya raised her voice a bit. "It's not that easy Aya." he speaking a little louder himself. -- After Aya was quickly dressed, the two knocked on the captain's quarters. "Captain Antonio-- it is Veran and Aya. You requested breakfast with us?" Veran called to the door.
Stardustblade358 806 Posted October 17, 2016 Antonio opened the door, looking down at Aya and Veran. He was wearing his best suit and best armor, all torn yet somehow stable after years of degradation. You could even tell the details engraved onto the silk and leather, made at one point by the best that money could buy back then. Not to forget he also wore his very nice looking hat with the feather on it. He liked that hat. "You up already?" Antonio smirked, pulling up a plate of fruit and a glass of water. "Good. Here's breakfast. Don't get too comfortable, today I am going to make you guys true pirates." Antonio warned as he handed over the plate and cup to Aya and walked back inside, only to reveal a large table with a map. The map was heavily outdated, yet it still served its purpose to guide the pirates, even with their antique items that were beyond expiration date. "Today you shall work and live as a pirate in order to reach our ultimate destination! Palm Island, where we will try and steal my brother's ever so valuable treasure!" Antonio declared boldly, taking a bite out of an apple as he looked down at the map, where a dagger marked their destination. He turned to his husband, nuzzling against his neck. "Arturo is going to show you guys the ropes!" Antonio hummed, much to Arturo's dismay. "Instead of throwing you into a tank of piranhas, you are going to help us steal some treasure. Though the tank of piranhas is still on the table." Arturo said, looking over at his husband with the faintest of smiles. "Get ready for sail." Antonio ordered, turning away as he looked out the broken window. Arturo sighed, looking over at Aya and at Veran. "Alright! Eat your fill, Aya, you're going to learn how to work like a real sea dog!" Arturo insisted, pointed at Veran. "You too. And remember, I'm keeping my eyes on you."
Lady Aleister 1,677 Posted October 17, 2016 Aya happily indulged in the fruit and water. It wasn't the best at all...but it was edible. "I'm guessing you don't like your brother?" Aya kind of pointed out, it not really being a question. As Antonio mentioned making them into real pirates, Aya looked at him like he was an idiot. "You do understand that I am not the best physical worker...at all." Aya warned. "Well you're going to have to be for today Aya...or you won't be back in London with Samael." Veran warned. How dare he mention Samael. Aya usually isn't gone this long for her missions and the cruise ship should be docking tomorrow. Aya threw the last piece of fruit in her mouth, taking the last sip of the water. "I guess I can be a sea dog-- just for a small amount of time." she gained her confidence up. Veran smirked at Aya's confidence. "We will work hard." Veran confirmed with Arturo.
Stardustblade358 806 Posted October 21, 2016 Arturo smirked. "I hope you aren't ready to eat those words." With that, Arturo led them onto the deck. The crew was already preparing all needed for departure, adjusting the canons, refilling them with ammo, loosening the sails, and so on. It looked very busy. "Veran!" Arturo said as he pointed at the demon. "You are stronger than mortal men. You shall help the boys lift up the anchor." Arturo said as he pointed at a circular construction. The men would have to work together to push the wheel to rile up the anchor from the sea and back onto the ship. Usually it took lots of strength, so hopefully Veran was up for the task. "And you, Aya." Arturo eyed at her before pointing up at one of the sails. "I need you to go up there and release the sail. You are small, so you should be able to climb up there without much trouble. Once you are done releasing the sail you may come down and move onto your next task, which might include more climbing." Arturo said, clapping his hands as he waved at them with amusement. "Let's get going! We have much to do before the captain starts barking out orders~"
Lady Aleister 1,677 Posted October 21, 2016 Veran obliged to Arturo's request, the men stepping aside as he easily pushed the wheel, the anchor slowly emerging from the sea and Veran pulling it onto the ship. This man was truly a monster. After the anchor was successfully on board, he turned to Arturo with a smirk. "Did you get the preset I sent you from Ludwig?" he chuckled to himself, looking at Aya as she struggled to climb up the post to reach the sail. "Arturo!! I don't really know how to do this...!!" she yelled out to him, Veran letting out a laugh. "Stop laughing Veran!!" Aya yelled back to him. (Short post but it was going to be a short post anyways)
Stardustblade358 806 Posted October 23, 2016 (edited) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dsLHf9X8P8w Arturo yelled at Aya with a scowl. "Fine fine! Then forget about the sail and head straight to the Crow's Nest!" Arturo yelled as he pointed over to the highest part of the ship, where it was a place where they could have someone watch for anything around them from an 360 degree angle. If she could get to there, she should be more than fine. Arturo glared at Veran. "Oh I received them, and I'm keeping them." Arturo hissed. Soon he heard as the door slammed opened as Antonio strides onto the deck, quickly gaining the attention of his men. "CAPTAIN ON DECK!" Arturo quickly yelled, Antonio walking up to the wheel of the ship as Arturo followed close behind. "Lower the sails! Pick up the ladder! Let the flag fly!" Arturo ordered, the pirates doing as asked rather quickly. The tainted sails fell, quickly puffing up to a side as they began to pick up the wind. Antonio turned the wheel, directing the oars of the ship to face the entrance as they began to sail away. All while the ship began to move, little Aya was left to her own devices to figure out a way to get to the Crow's Nest while the ship not only moved, but the wind began to pick up as they entered into open sea. "We follow my brother's scent. He won't get away with it this time." Antonio smirked, a wicked smirk full more of mischief than the anger from last night, which was much better than actual anger. No one likes to see an angry captain. Angry captain, bad day. Arturo looked up at Aya. "Come on little one. You can reach it, surely." Lady Aleister 1,677 Posted October 23, 2016 "You have to be kidding me" Aya could not help but think as the ship started moving as she was climbing up to the crows nest. The wind was blowing in strong gust and it took her might to make sure she didn't fly off. Why would they make a little girl like herself who wears a freaking eye patch look out for land and other ships. She was almost there as a wave crashed against the ship and she lost her grip on one of the ladder handles. "Shit." she cursed under her breath. Veran watched her carefully as she climbed. As soon as she slipped, his eyes turned to Arturo. "She's going to fall." he said in a simple manner, walking to the post and gripping onto a ladder handle...and then was up to Aya within milliseconds, her secure in his arms before her other hand slipped as a gust of wind almost knocked her down. "Antonio and Arturo will probably not like me helping you...but you are still my master. Your safety is my priority." Veran helped bring Aya up to the Crows Nest, where she stood with her hands gripping to the post, Veran pulling off his tailcoat. "It is cooler up her. Make sure you can see properly." he gave her his tailcoat and untied Aya's eyepatch, it slipping off her face as she looked at Veran with a smile. "Try to do as much work as you can. Try getting some of the nobles treasure back...when we return to London, it will be returned to them." Aya instructed her butler, him nodding silently. "You keep a look out and try not to look down." Veran smirked before jumping down from the crows nest, landing safely and softly beside Arturo. "I will do as much as you wish for me to do." he then said to the co-captain. Stardustblade358 806 Posted October 25, 2016 Arturo watched with a whistle. As much as he hated Veran currently, he would always admit that the demon's abilities were as impressive as they came. But seeing as how he was so willing to please, Arturo would have more than enough fun making Veran do work that would be considered foolish and unworthy of such a high class demon such as Veran. Arturo smirked. "If you insist, Veran. You know, as you can guess, it's been a while since we last cleaned this ship, being on the bottom of the sea and all. If you don't mind, I want for you to swipe this deck clean." Arturo said as he snapped his fingers, and a fellow pirate passed over a mop and a bucket filled with soapy water before handing them over to Veran. "When you're done with that, there is some biological fouling accumulating on the side of the ship that I need you to scrape off. Especially the very big ones." Arturo added as he then offered what seemed to be an old spatula. He then patted Veran's shoulder. "I'm sure that you will be able to handle it. You're a butler, after all. One of their duties is to clean." Arturo said, winking at Veran before slapping at his butt. "Good luck!" Antonio meanwhile drove his ship, smiling as he smelled the salt sea in the air. This was one of his favorite parts of being a pirate, just the journey that he experienced every time, not knowing what it would happen. "Aya! There should be a telescope up there! Look around and tell us when you see something in the horizon!" Antonio called.
Lady Aleister 1,677 Posted October 26, 2016 "Usually I wouldn't take orders from anyone other than my master...however I will oblige for now." Veran rolled up his sleeves...his guns, a few knives multitools shown as they were holstered on his belt. They shone in the sun as Veran grabbed the mop. "Barnacles? It usually takes people a long time to get those off, and usually it is done when the ship is at shore...but I assure to you your ship will be spotless in no time." He started to put the mop into the bucket when Arturo's hand hit his behind. Veran stopped instantly and his head turned to Arturo. "That is sexual harassment. If you lay a hand on Aya like that...this ship, and you pirates will all be sent back to Davy Jones Locker." he threatened before mopping the floors of the ship. It wouldn't take him long...but it would take him a bit longer. These floors were disgustingly dirty. Aya grabbed onto the telescope, looking out into the horizon. Maybe she would see something...maybe she wouldn't.
Stardustblade358 806 Posted October 27, 2016 Arturo waved Veran off, going 'blah blah blah' as he moved his hands like a mouth. He wasn't scared of a demon. Hasn't been and wouldn't be. He was a pirate darn it. A ghostly pirate! There is nothing to be afraid of as long as you are a ghostly pirate. Arturo returned to Antonio's side, the two talking as Antonio drove the ship. It all went peaceful for a while. However, in the horizon, Aya could slowly see something slowly approaching their ship. It was another ghostly ship, also torn and old yet strong as it was. However it had a much elegant aura to it. It was as big as Antonio's ship, but it did not carry the black flag. Instead it carried a torn flag of the royal navy from a country from along ago. It was a royal ship, of military origins, whose name inscribed as 'La Borboleta' was still hatched on its side. Its captain, wearing a torn captain's attire stood behind the wheel. He had a striking similarity to Antonio physical wise. They could be twins if set next to one another. However this captain's hair was longer, and had a beauty mark underneath his left eye. Antonio didn't need for Aya to tell him. He could already sense it. "Marco." Antonio hissed. He whistled sharply. "Everyone get in positions!" Antonio warned, everyone scurrying to get it ready. However they didn't attack...just yet. Instead they glided right next to the Borboleta...stopping as the captains of each respective ship stepped over to the railing, glaring at each other. "Marco." "Antonio." "I see you look as dead as ever." "Very funny, brother."
Lady Aleister 1,677 Posted October 27, 2016 Aya turned the telescope to zoom in to Marco's face, he was a dead military pirate...it seemed like it at least. "Veran, come up here and get me down now. And order, please." Aya spoke in a normal voice, Veran coming back up on the deck from picking off barnacles. He placed the bucket down and was up to get Aya within seconds, and just as fast as he went up, Aya was safe on the ships deck again with Veran at her side, him tying Aya's eyepatch back onto her left eye. "I guess this is Antonio's brother." Aya commented. "It appears so." Veran and Aya approached the railing. "Brotherly love is something irreplacable...especially the way this brotherly love looks!" Veran kind of called out, Aya just giving him a deadpan look. "That's not really funny." she commented in a lower voice.
Stardustblade358 806 Posted October 28, 2016 Both Antonio and Marco snapped their heads towards Veran. "Who the hell is this guy?" Marco asked, looking almost surprised. "You like?! This is my newest crew member! A demon and his cute master all the way from London!" Antonio said rather proudly. "You kidnapped a demon from London? And his master too! Will your vile actions never end even after you are dead?!" Marco hissed. "Hey! They became part of this crew willingly!" Antonio lied, but oh well, one lies in order to get an advantage in a sibling rivalry. It wouldn't be the first time, nor the last. "Is that your secret weapon, Antonio? A demon? You really think a demon is going to be able to defeat me, the captain of the Borboleta?!" Marco asked, hissing at Antonio. Antonio smirked, waving his hand. "Well, then it just means that we will have to prove it, won't we?" Antonio chuckled, pointing at his own neck with his thumb before making a slicing motion across it. "So, how about it? Showdown time?" "It appears so. Let's see who is the real king of the seas!" Marco said as he waved at his men, the ship taking off. Antonio waved at his, whistling sharply. "GET THE CANONS READY AND AIM, we're taking him down and everyone with him!" Antonio ordered, the pirates hurrying over as they began to do as told, canon balls packed up and ready as they began to load the canons. "Veran, you're fast, right?" Antonio asked as he handed him a box filled with canon balls. "Pass them around to the canons once they run out. The quicker we shoot back the better. Aya, you might want to hold on to the nearest railing. Things are about to get rough!" Antonio said as he retreated back to the wheel. It didn't take long for it all to go down, as canons began to fire, canonballs barely flying past the heads of the pirates as they aimed to make the most damage out of each other. Lady Aleister 1,677 Posted October 28, 2016 "I do think I can defeat you." Veran spoke up between the boys. In this situation, the only one who could hurt Veran was Arturo. As the battle was declared a start, Veran shoved the pail of barnacles into Aya's hands and he was down with the pirates helping in a millisecond. Aya ducked down as canons began to fly, one barely missing her. Veran was below the ship, canons flying out of Antonio's ship like crazy. What would Aya do if this ship...sunk?! Stardustblade358 806 Posted October 30, 2016 Brotherly rivalry wasn't easily quenched, and even after close to a thousand years couldn't have slowed it down. One brother a pirate, the other a sailor for the royal armada, both dead, yet both equally as prideful to their on accord. Poor little Aya was this close of losing her head. Again. "Keep firing! Better your aim at their own canons! Don't be afraid to blow them to bits!" Arturo yelled, barking orders around as Antonio drove his ship, pulling away from his brother's ship and going in circles, all while his brother followed in similar movements, all to dodge hits and to give them as well. "Captain Marco! We're relieving heavy damage port side!" "Damn him..." Marco hissed, looking up at his men. "Are the swivel guns ready?!" Marco asked, receiving a nod in response as the ship shook from the blasts. "Aim at their flags!" He ordered. One of his men quickly took charge of the swivel gun, aiming the best he could at the flags of the pirate's flags before beginning to shoot at them, as if trying to bring them down. Arturo's eyes widened as he looked up at the flags. The swivel guns were working, hitting the wood of the posts and smashing them into bits, shooting holes straight through the flags with its velocity. "Captain, the flags!" Arturo warned, only to hear Antonio scream in frustration. "THAT WORM RIDDLES RAPSCALLION!" Antonio gritted his teeth, but then simply smirked. "If he wants to pay dirty, then lets play dirty." Antonio chuckled, raising his voice so they could hear. "Everyone get ready to board!!" Antonio ordered before sharply turning the ship around, sailing straight towards the side of Marco's ship. Arturo cupped his hands. "Everyone hold on, we're going to hit!" Arturo said. Marco's men quickly hurried out of the way as Marco's eyes widened. "BRACE FOR IMPACT!" Marco yelled, and just like that, the two ships slammed against each other with a bang. The sound of crushing wood surpassed the surprised screams of both crews, both ships jerking around viciously at the abrupt movement. Antonio had rammed his ship right into Marco's causing devastating damage to both ships. The two ships scrapped against one another, wood crushing and rasping. Marco quickly responded, barking orders as he pulled out a sword. "Board the ship! We'll send them all back to Davy Jone's locker!!!" Marco ordered, screaming at the top of his lungs as his men began to jump onto Antonio's ship. Antonio let go of the steering wheel, taking out a sword of his own. "All crew on deck! We're sending these scurvy ridden cockroaches to walk the plank!" Antonio laughed, smirking satisfied as he watched his men fight back against Marco's. Lady Aleister 1,677 Posted October 30, 2016 Aya did not sign up to do this. As the ships crashed into one another, Aya let out a little bit of a scream...only because the crash scared the living hell out of her.As soon as Veran heard that though, the next thing Aya knew, he was right there beside her. "Are you harmed?" he asked seriously, scooping her up and placing her on his shoulder. "I'm fine. Let's go get these pirates." Aya smiled as she looked down at Veran, she was pretty tall up on his shoulder. Veran tossed Aya her gun, him pulling two of his guns, both loaded with the bullets he made. "Veran...make sure that Marco's ship is taken down...and that I am unharmed in the process. That is an order." Aya ordered, her eyepatch pulled off by her own hands. "Hold on tight then, My lady." Veran smirked as he took a leap into the battle, any pirates posing a threat to him were quickly shot down by his own hand, Aya had Veran's back, spotting him from behind. As the fight raged on, Aya realized something. Both ships were heavily damaged...and in the middle of the sea. "Veran...these ships are going to sink." Aya warned as Veran handed Aya his gun, she quickly reloading it for him. "Well we will just have to make sure we win fast then...won't we?" the demons eyes rushed red, and with the next shot fired towards Marco's crew...the bullet he fired caused an explosion, sending several pirates overboard. He was not playing around anymore.
