In KH2FM can someone please explain to me the "hidden abilities" of EXP 0? Of course I understand it means no experience will be gained but I have heard speed runners refer to its hidden abilities which they take advantage of in runs for certain bosses. Also could someone please explain the hidden abilities for EXP 0 in the other KH games? (However I am most interested in 2FM)

Hidden...abilities? I'm not sure what that's referencing. As far as I know, EXP Zero only keeps you at Level 1.

EDIT: What I'm saying applies to KH2FM only. Other KH games may have EXP Zero benefits.

No there are definitely hidden abilities (properties) associated with EXP Zero I just can't remember what they are.

I think you're talking about its hidden abilities in KHFM HD and BBSFM. In 2FM it doesn't give you any hidden abilities. But I know in KHFM HD it provides Sora with a Second Chance type ability whilst also boosting magic and summons power like crazy. And I hear it makes you so OP in BBSFM.

Okay I think you may be correct and I was thinking of KHFM HD. I was watching this years AGDQ stream for KHFM HD and at certain points the runner would turn on EXP Zero in order to help in a fight. Thanks

In KH2FM I don't think there's really any benefits but in BBSFM and KH1FM there are certain abilities, finishers and summons that become overpowered when EXP 0 is equipped. In the remixes only they made EXP 0 give you a strength boost as well so you give up exp for some power.

In KH1FM the most notable abuse of EXP 0 is at the end when Mushu is used. Normally Mushu shoots in quick bursts but with Exp 0 equipped for some reason he shoots continuously, kind of like a machine gun. There is also damge storage, so the last hit that you did will be how strong each fireball is, that's why they do a combo and make the finisher the last hit so each fireball is a strong as a finisher. This is used to beat a lot of the end game bosses quickly. Here's a vid

 

In KHBBSFM there are a few finishers that become a lot stronger with EXP 0 because the game gives you a strength boost with the ability. Most notably is Aqua's Spellweaver finisher which deals insane damage. here's an example of spellweaver

What? I finished Terra's story at level 1 and I didn't know I had a power boost

 

Anyway, the boost couldn't be that big, it took me about 3 hours to beat the final bosses

I think you meant Zero EXP where you gain no experience meaning if you start at Lvl 1, you remain there as long as it's on.
