It was a quiet morning in the Facility, as patients were already starting to wake and welcome the new day. The doctors were already preparing the drugs that were to be administered to the ‘patients’ as well as the exercises they were to be practicing that day.

Roxas woke up with a quiet yawn, eyes squinting as he slowly reached out to turn on the lights in the room. Today was going to be an interesting day and he hoped that he would be one step in getting better. He was in the facility for what he knew since he was born and was told that he was very sick. The drugs they administered to him were to make him better.

Roxas sat up in his bed and stretched, stark white clothes wrinkling as he moved about. He peered over to where his roommate Auron slept.

“Morning.” Roxas uttered softly with a yawn. He was still half asleep. Roxas liked the company of the elder male, especially since Auron was a sort of cool older brother figure to him. At least, when he’s normal and not the ‘other guy.’

"Okay now. Namine, we want you to try as hard as you can to guess what Card the man in the other room is holding, Okay?"

Namine nodded. This was routine. Having them Test Her PK levels before even the other patients were awake. This Was For the best results. Common Mental Interference Proved for Malpractice Towards the Doctors Observations. Namine Slowly arched her arm to go for the pen. She grasped it gently and placed the tip on the paper in front of her. The sun has barely risen And Namine was already being tested. She wrote, 'Cow, Joker, Five Dollars, Khakis, Sunglasses, Black short hair, Blue T-shirt, Green Eyes'

The doctors looked at her paper with a stammered expression.

 

Her Pk levels were off the charts but She had no distinct control over them. She instead of describing the Cards, gave an accurate depiction of the participant. When the doctor went back to look at Namine she was already looking up at the doctor and smiling. The doctor just sighed and told Namine She did good. The doctor left the room writing on the 'Observation Reports' that her pk level are stammering but she has Ineffective control over them. Namine was thus told she could leave them Training room and could go mingle with the other already awake patients. "You know your way back Hush?" She turned to the Overseer of the training seminar, And nodded to him with a pleased Expression. The Door was then Buzzed Open and she was let free from the Single Chaired Room. When she stepped out int the brightly light area, she was met with a corridor. The Hall was A Bright Light blue, That had Many Surveillance Camera lining every Corner. She stood at the door for a moment to take a breathe and look down Both ways. They both were completely Identical. Something she Believe they Did so even if she tried to use her abilities to Hide She couldn't tell Right from left. Being The hallways looked the same in every way. She had to tell her direction by what Workers she saw. 'Janitor Tom after practice Equals 6:30 East wing turn left' 'Ms.Parker with her breakfast Equals 7:00' 'Doctor Luwenski With patient board Equal Shy of Noon I'll be in the South Wing' That all she had collected from her travels in the facilities. Not enough for her to do anything with but just enough to build from. She had a map made once before but it proved Faulty. To many errors and she had to start from scratch. She took a step and began walking towards Her room. She turned many paths before entering the patient ward where she then look at all the patients who where awake. She walk by a room that had a blnde kid just waking up. He was stretching and greeting the morning. she decided to sit there and watch him as he looked at the other older man Laying in bed. She Adjusted herself so that she'd can hide there by the doorway hugging the Edge. She use her ability to get a read on who they were. Just a slight read. But stopped, She thought she was Invading Personal space and decided to walk away and go to her room.

 

'I wonder, If they are friendly?'

(I hope it was okay that I assumed Lightning was still in bed. If not please let me know and I would happily change my post.)

 

It was early when Xion sat up in bed, gasping as her heart hammered in her chest.  Light filtered through the parted curtain, pooling onto the wooden floor and Lightning’s peaceful face.  A slight sigh escaped her.  “Only a nightmare,” she murmured softly, shaking her head.  Lately nightmares had been plaguing the raven-haired youth, far too often.  They generally consisted of the same images: her brother dying at the hands of the doctors, her mother screaming in the background to spare Xion.  Monstrous needles would then prick Xion all over until she was a bloody mess, her chest in severe pain as she’d gasp for breath.

 

She swung her legs over the side of the bed and rose, stretching as she glanced around the room.  Carefully she crept over to Lightning’s bed, wishing very much that she would wake.  She then knelt before the bed, her elbows resting on the soft mattress as she leaned in and watched her slow breathing.  It was amazing to her that anyone could sleep so peacefully; why couldn’t she anymore?

 

A slight shudder coursed through her body as she thought of the doctors.  She didn’t know why, but they made her exceptionally nervous.  While they wore sincere smiles and proffered words of compassion, there was something about them that bode ill—she could sense it.

In a twist of poetic irony, Lightning's peaceful nights were the product of her new roommate. Her once nightmare-fueled exhaustion now gave way to great rest, but she remained alert even when at peace.

 

As Xion leaned down and pressed into the mattress, Lighting awoke...but eyes closed she listened, before raising an arm. Covers lifted, her body scooted away and made room, Lightning having recognized the somewhat uneven breathing belonging to her roommate.

 

For now, she stayed silent.

As the darker side of Auron woke up to a "Morning" uttered from his roommate Roxas, he rolled his eyes. "I forgot. You are still alive..... I apologize for my rude comment." He quickly says as he jumps out of his bed and onto his knees. "Please forgive me...... If I have to hear you apologize to another one of these weaklings, I swear to all that is inbetween hellacious and holy that I will linch us....... I'm sorry, i'm being very very rude....... Really...... You apologize to yourself, pitiful. How dare you disgrace me....." The rational side of Auron covers his mouth and just blankly stares at Roxas. "Please, don't report that. Anyways, how is your morning?....... Weakling.......".

Roxas sighed as he waited for Auron to awake. Auron... Was a very strange character. So strange, he was actually two characters in one. The first character was the Auron he knew as his roommate. The other... He wasn't fond of.

Suddenly, Roxas heard movement right outside the room. Very /quiet/ movement. Movement so quiet that a regular person would be unable to hear it. Roxas however could. He never really understood why he had such abilities, but to him it was normal. He was just focusing on getting better so he could enjoy a life in Radiance with all the others.

He looked to the door and saw the faintest of blonde locks slip away from the window. His eyebrows raised and his eyes softened.

'Was it that girl...?' He thought to himself. Roxas didn't get to think much however for Auron awoke... And he was greeted by the 'other guy.'

Auron fell to his knees and began to talk back and forth to himself as per usual. Roxas really did feel bad for his roommate. With a sad smile, he put his hands to Auron's shoulders.

"It's uh, fine. Really... Come on, we gotta go get breakfast. The doctors want us to be as healthy as possible!"

When Roxas placed his hands on Auron's shoulders, the "irrational side" nearly flipped out. "You trifling mother-....." Auron quickly covered his mouth, pushed his darker side to the back of his mind, and listened to Roxas's suggestion of going to breakfast. Auron nodded his head in agreement instead of responding verbally because he feared that his other half would find a way to finish the comment he was going to make earlier. Auron rose from his knees to his feet and walked side by side with Roxas outside of the room and towards the cafeteria. When they were about 30 feet down the hall, Auron removed his hand from his mouth because he felt that his mind had calmed down. He sighed. "So, how do you think today is going to pan out? It seems to be a very beautiful morning and the smell of the food from the cafeteria is wonderful............ I just want to know what those butt-munches will force me to fight today. Also, weakling, who is that blonde invertebrate that seems to keep following us. I felt another presence close to me this lousy morning and I would put money on betting it was her."

Xion drew in a breath, watching Lightning carefully.  Was she awake?  It didn't seem so, but Xion thought it was late enough; she could pester her without her roommate caring too awful much.  She sat on the corner of her bed, drawing her knees to her chest as she extended an index finger.  Gently poking it into Lightning's upper arm, she whispered softly,  "Hey, Light?  You awake?"

 

It seemed to be a beautiful morning, the sun bathing her face from the window.  She wondered how clean the fresh air smelt in comparison to the stale air they were meant to breathe in this hospital-like place.  It was told that nothing else existed beyond the walls of the Bastion, which was a depressing thought that Xion shrugged from her mind.  She could hardly believe that they were the only ones left.  It was a tragedy, and she often wondered how long they would survive before whatever it was out there destroyed them from in here.  Finally Xion cocked a brow.  "If you are awake, you probably would want to know that there's only a few chocolate chip pancakes left from breakfast.  Better hurry unless you want Auron eating them all."

 

Of course, it was only a rouse, but she loved teasing the woman she considered like an elder sister to her, who meant equally as much.

Roxas hummed as he walked along with Auron, listening him to drone on. As Auron's roommate, he was /very/ used to this. The constant back and forth, Auron always covering his mouth. Roxas felt really bad for him. But hopefully one day the drug will cure Auron and he'll be free.

"Today will go as usual, I guess." Roxas said with a shrug, putting his hands behind his head as he walked along. It was the same old routine.

"Eat breakfast, hang out with the others, take our medicine for the day, do tests, eat dinner, hang out with the others, go to sleep and do it all over again the next day. That's gonna be how it always is I guess until the medicine cures us and we're taken to Radiance." Roxas never really thought about it. He always just followed what he was told day in and day out. When Auron mentioned the blonde haired girl however, Roxas blushed.

"And her... I saw her too... I'm pretty sure that's Naminé." Roxas couldn't help but smile. "She doesn't talk but she's very nice and pretty. She loves to draw too- at least from what I've seen. Who knows, maybe the medicine will give her her voice back."

Lightning sat up and flicked Xion's forehead lightly. She leaned in and hugged Xion slepeily, yawning.

"Silly kid." She whispered. "...bad dream?" She asked, warm arms encircling the girl. She nuzzled her hair, seeing if that helped. After it all, she at least knew that Xion only looked like that after a bad night. Poor thing.

It was sad, for Xion was the reason she now could sleep.

"...and hurry up, you know I like my pancakes."

Xion returned the hug by wrapping her arms around the young woman, burying her cold nose into her rose hair.  It really smelled good to her.  She nodded into her shoulder.  "Always . . . it's usually the same kind of dream"--a shudder moved her body violently--"I really hate those needles.  I wish that they would stop."

 

Of course moping to Lightning wasn't going to solve anything, but she was always there and sympathetic toward her, listening to her plight and being so understanding.  She withdrew from Lightning's embrace, forcing a smile onto her face.  "And I was just kidding about the pancakes!  Actually, I have no idea what's for breakfast, but if there are pancakes I would gladly save them for you.  I know how much you like them."

 

She crawled off the bed, turning to the chest of drawers in the corner of the room.  For a long moment the raven-haired teen stared into the drawer, though she didn't really know why she was bothering.  After all, there was only an array of white shirts and simple pants to choose from.  She really wanted some color.

 

It didn't take her long to change out of her pajamas into some fresh sterile-scented clothes, reaching for the doorknob and turning to Lightning.  "Shall I see you out there, then?" she asked.

Namine making it back to her room, She decided to go to breakfast. Usually She doesn't go to breakfast because She doesn't like to eat in the mornings. Early morning meds and food don't mix Well. What she used to do was just sit there Draw or write the other patients but no one would talk to her. Namine wasn't the one to Instigate anything. So she left it how it was. Ever Since then, she would walk through the Corridors till a doctor came and Escorted her to her room. That was her life. that and other questionable things the Doctors ask her to do.

 

This time Namine Grabbed her note book And Trotted as quick as she could. She felt Remnants of happiness as she scooted down the hall. Parading joy till she saw roxas up a head And Two bit Auron. She moved just fast enough to catch back up with them. with a little focus and Determination she Sent a mono-toned Sound out that was not audible, but a thought. The Voice Ran in Roxas's head and Reverberated. "He....lo.." For her all sound became Silent and Toned out. She tried narrowing his mind to only hear her, but she stumbled nearly passing out before that was possible. Catching herself and panting she simply Recomposed herself then took back to walking towards them. She got close enough to touch him and Walked quietly behind him. looking down and to her left. Giving him a simple Smile before Trying to Avoid Eye contact. 

"Hello..."

Zexion pulled his limp head off a  book on a desk in the study."passed out reading again" he thought to himself as he slowly draged himself out of the chair and stood up. "i wonder if sis had that same dream again, poor girl i guess ill head to breakfast" on the way there zexion saw a long halway he looked down at his watch that he has had for as long as he could remmember "oh its pretty early i guess i can do a little exploring" he walked down the halway to see a door with a small window he looks in to see the blonde girl hes only seen a couple times before looking at Roxas everytime he was intriged by wat she was witing when he saw her nod to the doctor and start walking towards the door he read from his spell book focus he wispered a few words and focused on cousing himself to seem invisibleo her she came out and starting to look around he was suspisious that she may have sensed him when she walked away he released  his incantation and  was visible again. "hmmm intresting" he took notes. "i guess ill go to breakfast"

Vanitas wakes up yawning like a mad man slowly getting up as he dragged himself to his clothing puts one his blue hoodie and black jeans and walks to breakfast slowly walking nervously hallway as Vanitas steps in the cafeteria Seeing only 6 others all siting at the table i decide to go sit with Zexion i only plan for conversation i do not plan to eat. I sit across from Zexion and i ask him "Hay kid what do you think of this place i don't know why i an asking you but call me curious." I dont know why but i gave him one of the most serious faces of my life.

When Namine sneaks up on Roxas and says "hello", Auron immediately turns around.

"Ummm... Hello....." Auron said as he tried to make eye contact. When Namine looks away, Auron's dark side sees this act as disrespect. 

"Look me in the eyes while you speck to your superior, subordinate! Don't play shy and stalk us! If you have something worthy of my time to say, than SAY IT!" Auron's other half yells......

"YOU ARE OUT OF LINE! How dare you speak to her like that!......" 

"She had it coming to her! Nobody wastes my time like this and gets off scotch free!......." 

Auron's fury forces his other half to the back of his mind. "He has ruled over me for far too long." Auron mumbles to himself as he grits his teeth. "I'm sorry you had to witness that" Auron says as her relaxes his mouth. He then arcs his back to be about face level with Namine.

"My name is Auron and this is Roxas." he says as he points to Roxas. "You probably know us, but I don't know your name. Would you mind telling me?" Auron asks as politely as he can with a smile. His left hand begins to shake a little, but Auron hold it firmly with his right hand.

Zexion looks up to see Vanitas "hmm looks like an interesting character" he says in his head trying to analyze Vanitas and figure out his carachter. " are you knew here?" he asked in his quiet voice as he picks at his food not in the mood to eat "are you my new roomate""whats your name?" "what are your powers" "do you know your parents" trying to find more information about the person Zexion pulls out his pen ready to take notes.

Vanitas face changes he breaths deeply and says "yes im new and yes im you new roommate my name is Vanitas Gaster I have the power of Telekinetic ability's and i can create bone like structures that force energy into people or structures and THE FINALE QUESTION ONE WARNING DONT ASK THAT AGAIN!"Vanitas is voice comes down and says "you didnt answer my question what do you think of this place?"his voice gets smoother and softer as he calms down.

Zexion's facial expression doesn't change at all.for a few minutes he continues to silently write on a note pad then replies with 'eh i guess its ok i use the study to advance my spell casting skills" then continues to pick at his food with his hair over his face and only slightly raises his voice witch he normally does not and said "i think i like you but just don't yell at xion like that she doesn't need that" then goes silent.

Vanitas stands up tell him one thing "I respect that you want to protect your sister but i want to talk and pass my judgment on everyone so far you past but" his eye turns yellow wile saying "dont make me think your guilty because it wont be fun" The eye stops glowing yellow he walks away and waves goodbye to all of them wile he exit the cafeteria.

Zexion mumbles a few key words and is next seen sitting next to his sister ready for anything but completely silent doing nothing but reading.

Namine Just stared at Auron.

She looked down, and then back at Auron. This time with the sole action of pointing toward her throat. She was trying to Indicate that she Could not speak. She pulls out her Notebook With a Elegent Sweep of her hand and Writes, "Hello, My names Namine... Or Nim.. I'm not like the Other patients. I'm kinda like staff. Nice to meet you."  She showed him the newly created Literature and kept the paper posted long enough for him to read. Looking at Auron to see if he had Completed reading. Upon the notice that he has Finished She then Scraps the paper she wrote on to the back of the Notebook and begins writing again. This time it took her a moment to write. Her hand writing was in Cursive, so it looked stunning. She put her final loops on the paper and Revealed it to him. "I Can't talk... I Was born like this. Don't apologies, he isn't your fault. Don't worry i'm not mad at you or him. I'm just curious, what's his name?" 

Namine, while still holding the Note up, She then looked at Auron's hand. it was Quaking. He held his own hand to stop it, but she was long pass noticing it. She slowly moved toward him. Dropping the Journal to Gently Extending her arms to grasp Auron Jittery hand. With Cation and care, She looked into Auron's eyes to Unveil any ill-intent. Her soft Pillow skin caressed his palm and began nurturing his hand with Warmth and A Kind Massage. After she made contact with his hand it was like he tuned into radio. Static came first, then A Voice that sounded like it was spoken from a little girl, down a stretched  hallway. The voice slowly grew in volume till "Hello" was heard. She locked eyes with Auron and Focused. "Can I show you.... Can I Show you want i think Radiance Looks like?" In the same instant that Auron had heard that, Not with his ear but with his mind, the world around them melded into a Doven Tone, and Auron Felt a white hot feeling. The Ivory color Feathered, it did not cause any pain Nor blindness, it just pan across his vision like snow across a wintered field. With a vigorous retraction of the Porcelain Chromed world, A brighter Field Mapped out. Degrading the white with color, til Butterflies and Children Were playing. Birds Cascading the skies. Tall trees and Warm Calm spring breezes Tickled the Cheek. A Pond was in the distance Reflecting the Light from the sun. The water was Clear so fish were seen swimming in mesmerizing fashion.The world was lush and full, But upon looking up, The sky had no sun Even though it was Perfectly Sunny and blue. Auron was Sat on a bench and Namine was Seated next to him. Smiling, the Platnium haired maiden had one side of her face Curtained by her locks. Light shimmered from the pond and project a ray of sun onto her face. Revealing a more energetic beauty. She then said "Hello... again.." With a more nervous tone. she then was struck with a more Heinous Epiphany and said "Sorry I went To Far." And retracted her grasp. They both were Snapped back to the Facility. She just walked passed Auron and rushed by Roxas. Walking faster and faster ahead with her mind weighed in guilt. Believing she had invaded Auron's Privacy. 

 

 

'One rule, and you blow it nim... Don't invade the mind of others....'

She thought as she faded into the crowd of other patients. Hiding herself From her own choices, she Tucks into the safety of her mind.

Roxas yawned slightly as he walked along. Suddenly however he heard the faintest of sounds. Almost like a sort of voice. Slowly he turned towards the sound. As he was turning, Roxas felt a small little tap on his shoulder. It was so faint he might've not even notice it if it wasn't for the sound of the girl.

Behind him was Naminé and Roxas couldn't help but blush from the sudden encounter with the girl. He recognized her surely as he saw her around before.

"Uh... H-Hi..." He turned around and gave a small smile. "Naminé, right?" Suddenly, Auron went into another on of his little... Episodes and Roxas couldn't help inwardly freak out. He hoped Auron didn't scare the living day lights out of the girl. He instantly placed his hand on Auron's shoulder and apologized.

"I'm sorry, we're just so tired and a little..." Roxas suddenly realized both were in some sort of trance like state. He looked between her and Auron. Just as quickly however, Naminé hurried behind him.

"It's okay..." Roxas uttered quietly, unsure of what just happened.

Namine stopped because Roxas had said something. She was an indecisive girl. Well, being in a facility your whole life with little to no contact will do that to you. Dropping her pencil, She quickly Pivoted and her hair Swooshed pass her face. She Drop her body to a crouch In Order to pick her Writing utensil up. However upon bending, her notes had scattered from her clutches and Rained on the floor. As she let herself to fall into regret, she Brought her palm up to her face an gently hit her forehead. Sliding her hand Down her cheek, She looked at her art work. Many of them were of the patients and things they have done alone or with others. Drawings of even the Poignant memories. The only differences about these drawings is that she drew herself into them. As if she was there. A picture of Roxas Eating with Auron in Slight Detail was at the top of the litter. This was of breakfast three days ago. it can be understood by the time stamp on the top left hand corner of the picture, in the same picture, but in lower quality. Across the way, on the same bench that Auron and Roxas sat on to eat. Namine was draw in. She sat there looking at the both of them. Trying to gauge their Reactions, she scurried to her notes that were strewed on the floor. Only to realize her notebook has been Disbanded. She stared With piteous eyes, and slowly trying to assemble her notebook back to its former Status. Collecting many papers in quick Sweeps. This caused some of her pictures to become Dingy and Ruin their Quality. She sighed and began putting the papers into the cuff of her arm. Cradling the Pictures as they were her only replacement for Social interactions. Letting people see these pictures she felt bad for herself. She began to pity herself just a bit more now, this emotion was projected through her eyes. For they were sad and Teared. 

 

'Now they are going to think you are weird. They're not going to want to talk to you now.' She thought to herself.

Lightning nodded to Xion, and started to get dressed. Soon she was out and about, heading to get breakfast, somewhat behind her roommate. Yawning, she lazily dodged around anything that came in her way with precision, until she managed to get some pancakes and just sit down to eat a quiet breakfast.

Or, as quiet as could be in this place.

Auron reads all of her messages with great curiousity because he never imagined a person like her in a facility like this. When she got around to asking the name of Auron's opposite half, the regular Auron paused. "Ummmm..... I don't want to give him a name......." he said as he looks away and then quickly back at her. 

When Namine invades Auron's mind to show him how she pictures Radiance, Auron is left speechless. He sees himself with his opposite half as two different people. He also sees himself as a third, but doesn't know why. When he extends his hand to touch the third figure, Namine pulls them out.

In reality, Namine's glimpse into her version of Radiance lasted only 3 seconds, but, within the vision, it felt like hours that were too short to fully take in the beauty of the landscape. When the vision ended, Auron stood wobbling dizzily as if snapping back into reality took all of his strength to do. When Namine apologizes and runs off, Auron falls to his knees and stares blankly at the ceiling. 

"What did SHE DO!?!" Auron's darker side yells as he jumps to his feet and punches a crater the size of a 60 inch flat screen tv in the wall. The negative Auron's eyes don't seem human anymore, his veins begin to shoot blood all throughout his body at astonishing speeds, and his sanity is quickly slipping "AAARRRGGGHHHHHHH!!!" Auron's opposite side Screams as he punches holes in the ground. A doctor quickly grabs a tranquilizer gun and subdues Auron. 

When Auron's opposite side wakes up in a circular reinforced cell, his face forms a twisted smile. He begins to wildly punch at the walls and thus create crater after crater with each punch. "I WANT TO SEE IT AGAIN! SHOW ME THE LIFE FREE OF WEAKNESS!!!"

Vanitas exiting the cafeteria notes that he counted incorrectly there was 5 not 6 out of the 6 beds (so far) so he went look for the missing person. He had no sight of him so he ask the doctors for a missing patient that did not attend the cafeteria the doctors told him "yes a man named  Auron was freaking out so we put him to sleep he is now in a cell till he comes down" Vanitas nodes to the doctor and walks to the prison he walked with a mild speed he reached there in a minute minimum as Auron still punching craters into the wall Vanitas tells the guard to "please open the cell let me in close the cell and walk away i need some privately" the guard actually allows it and says to Vanitas "have fun" Vanitas looks at Auron and asks him to sit down and relax.
