I think tales of the abyss anime stays EVERY close to the game's story.

Agreed! There were a couple rough spots, but for the most part the Abyss anime was spot on.

The only one I have ever seen related to its video game would be the Tales of Symphonia anime (excluding Super Mario Bros. 3 : P), but I felt it to be a pretty accurate depiction.

danganronpa even though i heard its not as good as the game

well the Persona 3 Movies seem to handle the story of the game fairly well, imo

Tales of the Abyss was pretty spot on, yeah. I think the most accurate I've seen, though, was Steins;Gate. It of course cut some stuff out, but it told the true-ending path of the game very well.
