April 15, 20169 yr Here's how it works-you get 1-2 star medals for completing story quests, as you know. To get 3-5 star medals, one option is to go to the shop and spend jewels (I recommend the 600 jewels for 3 medals; you can only do this once a day; and save up your jewels, you should have plenty. You can also get them by doing special quests (which you can start doing around after story quest or so 30; they change each day in a rotating weekly fashion). You can also get medals by fighting raid bosses. A final option is to evolve you lesser medals to rarer ones, but that is expensive and/or time consuming. I'd recommend just doing the shop method.
April 15, 20169 yr Imo, don't bother with the 600 jewels for 3 medals daily option. You can get lucky and nab a nice medal of course, but there is no guarantee you'll get anything good. At least in the 300 jewel pack you're guaranteed a 3-5 star, and the 3000 pack guarantees you at least 1 5 star. Edited April 15, 20169 yr by Takuya

Not sure if you figured this out already but Special quests can be accessed by going to Quests and then going to the second option, the top right one. There are multiple special quests that change every day: Monday: Olympia Materials Tuesday: Power EXP Medals, Power Evolve Medals (5-6 Stars, Flora), Treasure Trove Materials Wednesday: Magic EXP Medals, Magic Evolve Medals (5-6 Stars, Merryweather), Three Wishes Materials Thursday: Speed EXP Medals, Speed Evolve Medals (5-6 Stars, Fauna), Lady Luck Materials Friday: Evolve Medals (1-3 Stars, Cheshire Cat, Merlin, Fairy Godmother), Starlight materials Saturday to Sunday: Mythril Madness (Stone, Gem, Crystal), Evolve Medals (5-6, Master Yen Sid, Fantasia Mickey) Monday to Friday: Munny Medals (Moogle of all rarities) for 30 minutes periodically They take up a lot more AP but worth it to get stronger in the game Edited April 17, 20169 yr by KHfan22
