I've been watching someone play Danganronpa 2(visual novel) on the pc and I've got to say it's pretty awesome! What do you guys think about it? Keep in mind that I've only seen chapter 1 of Dangaronpa 2 so use spoilers. Well actually use spoilers when you feel like you should use them.

One of my favorite games ever.

I obviously can't say anything about it without potentially spoiling, so I'll shush there.

But the characters and story are gr8. Can't wait for the Danganronpa 3 Animes to come out in July.

It's a very interesting game. Can't wait to see how Danganronpa 3 The Animation: The End of Kibougamine Gakuen Mirai-hen and Danganronpa 3 The Animation:The End of Kibougamine Gakuen Zetsubou-hen. The Mirai-hen, or Future-Arc, takes place after the events of Danganronpa 2 (MINOR SPOILERS FOR DANGANRONPA 1 HERE), 

which includes 12 new characters from the Future Foundation as well as Aoi, Kirigiri, Hakagure and Naegi as Naegi is charged with treason for protecting the Remnants of Despair in Danganronpa 2 when the characters are thrust into what is implied to be another killing game of Monokuma's where he will attempt to fill the remaining hope of the world in the Future Foundation with despair by forcing them to kill each other, the characters are fitted with special bracelets that set off sleeping potions at a certain time, however a traitor kills a member of the Future Foundation while everyone is asleep and thus it is Naegi, Kirigiri and the rest of the Future Foundation's job to find out who the traitor is and put an end to the killings. No class trials, a literal desperate kill or be killed situation with the tagline "The tale of Hope and the Despair that kills Hope begins now."

The Zetsubou-hen, or Despair-Arc which takes place before the events of Danganronpa 2 (MAJOR SPOILERS FOR DANGANRONPA 2 HERE DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVEN'T PLAYED DANGANRONPA 2),

which includes our 16 characters from Danganronpa 2 before they turned into the Ultimate Despairs/Remnants of Despair and were put into the virtual Jabberwock Island in the Neo-World Program by the Future Foundation to undergo the Hope Restoration Program. It takes place during their school days at Hope's Peak Academy before Junko Enoshima tainted them with despair as well the story of the Izuru Kamukura Project and what befell of Hope's Peak Academy before "The Tragedy" occurred.

 

 

As well as the new game, Danganronpa V3: Everyone's New Semester of Killing. Whole new class, whole new storyline, no returning characters besides Monokuma, new features including Lying which uses fabricated Truth Bullets to beat the opponent by using lies, it is stated that this will be necessary at some points in the game, Panic Debates that will presumably work like Panic Talk Action in Danganronpa 2 and Scrum Debates which will put the characters on each side of a belief, no examples yet but I'd guess something like, X is believed to be the killer however A, B and C believe he is not the killer, while D, E and F believe he is and you will have to go through a Non-Stop Debate for whatever side you are on.

 

What I would love and find very interesting if they included it in Danganronpa V3, is the option to try and kill someone and get away with it, where you can, or at least try to, be the mastermind behind the perfect murder, we've never truly had a sense of tension in our actions because they always amount to nothing negative, other than in Danganronpa 1

Where you have to find out who killed Mukuro Ikusaba and everyone votes you to be the killer, including Kirigiri whereupon you are sentenced to death and Alter Ego saves you

which happens to be the only time I've ever felt under threat in Danganronpa, as Naegi, not really as Hajime. I've wanted that as a feature ever since Danganronpa 1, and no, I am not a sadistic murderer before you ask, I just think it would be a very interesting game mechanic and it would add replay value to the game, since it hasn't really had that in the past. I'd also like for the option to spot a character in the act of killing, and either you have the evidence and get away with catching them which makes it easier for you to make the murderer guilty, or they catch you in the act of witnessing them kill another person and you have to run, if you get caught, then I'm afraid it becomes a double murder case,

Just like Ishimaru and Hifumi in Danganronpa 1 and Hiyoko and Ibuki in Danganronpa 2.

In any case, I can't wait for Danganronpa V3, it's gonna be amazing.
