Since there are so many theories about the Unknown in the new 2.8 trailer I'd thought i'd give my idea.

I believe that the Black Coat could be a future version of Sora. The way he he acts and he seems to have the same habit as sora when he puts his arms up behind his head. In DDD Xehanort tries to turn Sora into a vessel. Lea seems to save him in time, but what if Xehanort's heart fragment made it into Sora and there is a delayed effect? Could there be a Sora-Xehanort thing going where Xehanort could be using Sora to spy on the gang? I would love to see what connections Sora has with Xehanort in KH 3.

Just because he uses one mannerism that is like Sora doesn't mean he's Sora.

He has 3 different tones of voices in the trailer, Sora sounds nothing like any of them. For Sora to time travel he'd need to have a previous version of himself there, which wouldn't work. Also, there's no Xehanorts at that time either so Sora-Nort can't time travel there. Xehanort isn't that old.

I forgot to say what if it's an older Sora? This is just a theory anyway maybe Sora is someway connected to him.

It could be, anything is possible with the stuff Nomura pulls off. But I don't think it's Sora.

We don't know much about what Xehanort can pull off.

A lot of people have said the same thing about the mysterious black coat guy and I think it could be a version of Sora too.

Plus it's one guy even tho his tone seems different in those 3 scenes he is shown.

I mean I always thought he changes his tone based on which Foreteller he's talking to.

It's his way of manipulating them.

But if he was Sora then it must work out with the time travel thing because everything in KH gets complicated xD

Or he could possibly be an ancestor of Sora along with the Foretellers being the ancestors of Riku, Kairi, Ventus, Aqua, and Terra.

But we gotta wait and see on who exactly this guy is.

Great theory tho! :D

Either Sora Riku or Kairi have to be connected to someone in that time.

This is why time travel should have never been introduced into Kingdom Hearts. How could that possibly be Sora? He has no versions of himself that existed during that time period. Not only that, why would Sora the champion of the light, be advocating it's downfall and supporting the rise of darkness. It doesn't make sense at all.

Maybe Nomura is starting to pull Marvel's Hail Hydra trope!

-Sora : "Hail Xehanort" (he is actually a double agent of light and darkness!)
