I discussed this on Twitter with a friend earlier today and it has to do with the names the Foretellers are based off from.

 

We know their names are based on the 7 Deadly Sins.

But we have to remember that the sins have opposites and those are called the 7 Heavenly Virtues.

My friend and I thought that what if the wielders we know today match up with the Heavenly Virtues rather than the sins the Foretellers are based off from?

 

Like this:

 

1. Riku (Ira)

[*]SIN: Wrath (Ira)

[*]VIRTUE: Patience (Riku)

2. Aqua (Invi)

[*]SIN: Envy (Invi)

[*]VIRTUE: Kindness (Aqua)

3. Kairi (Ava)

[*]SIN: Greed (Ava)

[*]VIRTUE: Liberality (Kairi)

4. Ventus (Gula)

[*]SIN: Gluttony (Gula)

[*]VIRTUE: Abstinence (Ven)

5. Terra (Aced)

[*]SIN: Sloth (Aced)

[*]VIRTUE: Diligence (Terra)

6. Xehanort? (Luxo?)

[*]SIN: Lust (Luxo)

[*]VIRTUE: Chastity (Xehanort?) I THINK NOT!

7. Sora? (Superbia?)

[*]SIN: Pride (Superbia)

[*]VIRTUE: Humility (Sora)

***The only ones I'm not sure about is Xehanort and Sora.

The other thing is, I'm not really sure where Lea would fall into this place since he basically took Terra's place as Guardian.

*EDIT 1: Guys. I don't know why but I have a very bad feeling that the Foretellers are gonna end taking the last spots in the new 13 Darknesses. If they are, the battle's sounds like it's kinda gonna be like the Sins VS the Virtues. It would be so sad!!

Huh, this is a pretty cool connection you've got going on here!  Since Nomura has gone to the trouble of having the Foretellers symbolize the seven deadly sins, then it would be pretty cool if the Guardians Of Light were to be the virtues that overcome the sins, ya know?  That's a pretty interesting prospect indeed!

haha thank you so much! :Dand agreed! Nomura symbolized each one of the Foretellers for a reason, right?So it would make sense for the personifications of the virtues to exist since Sora and Co. are pretty much saving the universe :)Like the light. Light cannot exist without the darkness so the same would go for the sins!

Very perceptive!  There must always be a balance with things, no matter what they may be!  Just imagine if Nomura uses this sin/virtue concept? I bet you'd be like: "Ha, I called it!"

This is an amazing discovery, this topic definitely deserves to be delved deeper as the latest X story updates are very reflective of this.
