So, I did a topic a while back, asking how people would react to Vanitas being in KH3. Now I'm going to be posting my thoughts on how he would serve in the story. Please note, this entirely based off of my thoughts alone, and I don't have to agree with your thoughts, or vice-versa. Also, I put lots of thought into this, so it might be a bit lengthy. Finally, this will be divided into however many parts my brain can think before the end of the game. So, without further ado, here is Part I of how I see Vanitas in KH3. *ahem*Shortly after his defeat in the first battle against Xehanort's forces, Vanitas, in a weakened state, reduces to nothing but a glob of darkness. He sets out in search of a body in order to exact his revenge on a certain Keyblade wielder, should he awaken, but is trapped in a sceptre a year into his search (inspired loosely by Sonic '06. Deal with it.).A decade later, Myde, the human form of Demyx (I made this name up. Refer to the intertwining storyline topic I posted a little while ago.), mysteriously awakens in the Keyblade Graveyard after seemingly perishing in the battle of Radiant Garden, wondering why he is not there. He looks around, questioning his area. He then notices what seems to be an old mountain and proceeds toward it, wondering if he could leave from there. After going through the canyon, fighting through some Heartless, Myde walks through the mountains innards (sorry if that sounds innappropriate.) and begins to notice a dark, glowing sceptre-like object in one of the rocks, saying to himself, "Heh, well whadya know. My way out." He picks it up, looks at it for a few seconds, then shakes it, hoping to be returned to Raidant Garden, where he originally became a Heartless and a Nobody.Suddenly, the sceptre's power is too much for it to handle, and it explodes, releasing the dark glob inside of it. The glob piles together and takes bodily form as none other than Vanitas. Claiming he has been recompleted after seeing "someone" in a certain world, but initially as a mirage, Vanitas replies, "Why, thank you, Myde." Myde gasps, surprised at what Vnaitas says. "How do you know my name?" Asks Myde. "Don't play dumb.", Vanitas responds. "You imprisoned me in that sceptre about ten years ago. Since then, I've been through the process of reforming my body." Vanitas then picks up the petal of a wilting flower. "I'm looking for someone else, though.", says Vanitas as he picks up the flower, crushing it afterwards. "His name is Ventus. You tell me now, Myde. Where is he? I intend to show little mercy to him." Myde, confused, thinks about the name "Ventus", then asks, "'Vehn-tuhs'? Isn't that the thing Lord Xemnas was looking for at Castle Oblivion?"Vanitas laughs. "'Lord' Xemnas? You are so stupid!", he gloats. "I was watching as much as my old man during my reformation process. Xemans was using you the whole time". Myde jumps, surprised. "I'm sorry, USING me? What for?", he asks. "You don't need to know.", says Vanitas. "You can go back to hell where you belong (you know, cause Sam Flynn said "hell" in that DDD flashback? Just thought I'd throw that out there.)." He summons his Keyblade, preparing to attack Myde. Myde retaliates with his sitar, but to no avail. Vanitas nearly finishes him off, but then Myde's sitar notices the little light in his now-reshaped heart, turning into a Keyblade of his own, to Vanitas's both surprise and dismay. "What? The Keyblade somehow chose you?", Vanitas asks, shocked. "I...don't know.", says Myde. "My heart...it summoned this Keyblade when I needed it the most. Which means..." Myde gets up, ready to fight again. "...I shouldn't have to worry much more now."Myde defeats Vanitas, who recovers just as quickly as he falls. He pauses momentarily, then summons a corridor of darkness. "You win for now.", he snarks. "But I'll find you again soon. Master Xehanort wants me now". "Wait!" Myde yells, but Vanitas disappears. "By the way...", Vanitas says telepathically. "You can use that sceptre you dropped to travel between worlds; specifically, one based on thought. It's been out of commission for the last decade, but now that I'm free, you can do what you want with it." Myde picks the sceptre back up, confused. "I can go to other worlds now, huh? I'm too tempted to use a corridor of darkness, but since I can't..." Myde shakes the sceptre again, but lightly, thinking about Radiant Garden, and is taken there almost instantaneously. And that concludes Part I of this story. Part II is coming somewhat shortly. Please leave your thoughts and opinions in the reply section and how this script could be revised, if possible.
