  1. Lightning made her way back toward the entrance to the runway, seeing Riku as she went. She sent him a wink with a small smirk as she passed. He never had seen her dolled up before. Roxas couldn’t take his eyes off Namine—not that he even wanted to. She was gorgeous, and he knew his jaw was slack and his lips slightly parted in awe. That dress fit her like a second skin. Did Kairi do that on purpose? She must have. Did she realize that the form-fitting dress hypnotized him? Kairi bounced on her feet from glee. Everyone liked her designs! Maybe she would win best of show...!
  2. Kairi bit her lip and watched as both Lightning and Namine took the catwalk. Her dresses flowed gently, barely brushing the floor as the two strut. Namine looked beautiful, incredibly graceful. Lightning walked like she had worn heels every day of her life, when Kairi knew the opposite to be true. But everyone in the crowd gazed at her designs with awe. Roxas may have been looking at the dress of Kairi’s but really his eyes were glued to Namine. She looked...stunning. He couldn’t believe someone so beautiful existed....
  3. Kairi caught Sora’s eye and smiled shyly. She lifted her hand in a small wave as well. She noticed Roxas send her a thumbs up. Their support meant the world to her. Lightning saw the model ahead of her go out, which meant she was next. She looked to Kairi and smiled comfortingly. She could do this, easy; crowds didn’t scare her and neither did heels.
  4. Kairi peeked out around the corner of the stage to see the runway. She also saw the crowd of people waiting to see the pieces on display. Her nerves jumped instantly, but she knew Namine and Lightning would do great. Her periwinkle eyes darted around the area, and that was when she spotted the boys. They looked...confused? But still, she was happy to see them.
  5. Roxas chuckled and rubbed his arm as the announcer made his final comments. He then leaned back in his seat and watched as the lights danced around the room before focusing on the runway. A model stepped out, but it wasn't Namine or Lightning.
  6. Roxas's smirk remained. "A kiss?" he teased, lifting his eyebrows. He prepared himself for a punch; that comment was bound to get him some kind of retaliation. All joking aside, Roxas was sure that whatever Sora got Kairi, she would love. He had flowers beside his feet for Namine.
  7. "Yup. Namine and Lightning will be pretty easy to find, though," Roxas replied, smirking in Sora's direction. "Kairi's another story." She would have to be backstage, right? Designers didn't come out during these things, if he heard the girls correctly. They had discussed this for the past few days. Namine had been worried she would trip, but...she was graceful as it was. She would be fine. Roxas had faith in her.
  8. Roxas shoved Sora lightly. "Maybe," he admitted. He wouldn't deny it; like Riku said, his feelings for Namine were pretty obvious at this point. "If Kairi were modeling, you'd be looking for her too." Sora was just as bad as Roxas when it came to his feelings for Kairi.
  9. Roxas sat in one of the front rows, thanks to Kairi's title as designer. He looked to the announcer, music playing as well, since the show was about to start. He just knew that Namine would look beautiful. She was stunning even when she woke up in the morning, something he knew because of the night they stayed together in her room. He wanted to do that again...
  10. Lightning nodded. She looked to the redhead designer and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Breathe. We've got this," she assured her. Kairi smiled weakly and nodded, to which Lightning motioned for Namine to follow her toward the lineup. Lightning would be walking first, then Namine. "Good luck!" Kairi called after them, waving slightly. She would be backstage still, but she couldn't be in the way. She would watch from a distance and try to accept that her designs were going to be shown for the first time.
  11. Kairi giggled at Lightning's faint blush. "Who knew Riku was a big softy?" she asked, tilting her head. He always came off as mysterious, intense. But with Lightning, he changed. But...it was a good change. Riku was finally happy. Lightning chuckled. "I don't even think he knew," she replied. Then again, Lightning didn't know herself so well either; Riku brought out her softer side too. "Okay, designers! Time to lineup!" Kairi shot to attention. "Okay," she said, looking to her models. "You guys good?" They weren't uncomfortable, right? No poking or prodding from the dresses?
  12. "Good," Kairi breathed, finishing Namine's dress and then stepping around her to take one last look. "You look lovely, Namine." She then turned to Lightning, whose dress flowed gracefully as she walked over to join them. "You too, Lightning. Thank you both for doing this. I really appreciate it." Lightning put a hand to her hip and smirked slightly. "It's fine. I'm just looking forward to Riku's face," she thought aloud. It would be amusing, to see how he reacted to seeing her all dolled up.
  13. One week later Kairi stood behind Namine and buttoned the low back of her burgundy dress. Today was the day! It was her debut as a designer in the university's fashion show. She had been working on her projects for weeks. Thankfully Namine agreed to be a model, as did Lightning (though she took a bit more convincing). Lightning stood nearby in a similar gown, but hers had more of a plunging neckline; her confidence had Kairi convinced she would don it beautifully. "Ready?" she asked both girls. She was a little nervous herself...
  14. Is the instant messaging gone? I can't find it anywhere....
  15. Roxas nodded a little, eyebrows furrowing. San Fransokyo? That sounded like a city. Sora told him once about it, maybe....but Roxas couldn't really remember. "'Kay then. I'll start saving up some munny," he declared, looking to his traveling companion. He would be sure to treat her well on that trip.
  16. Roxas nodded. "Good idea," he agreed. He then looked to his other. "Any suggestions?" Sora had been to the most worlds, after all. Roxas didn't know where exactly to take Namine. He wanted her to have fun.
  17. Kairi felt Sora's eyes on her, a weight she could never mistake for something else. She turned to look at him, noticing his small smile and giving one of her own. She nodded slightly. Right at Christmas break then. Roxas smiled a little. He then looked to Namine. "Guess we'll have to find something to do ourselves, huh?" Riku and Lightning would definitely be with each other on break, that was obvious. But Roxas and Namine? With Sora and Kairi gone, they had only each other. Not that Roxas opposed the idea.
  18. Kairi lowered her gaze to the table, not sure what to make of Sora's expression. She thought that after the night they spent together (with Namine and Roxas there too of course), it being romantic may not have been so bad. But...he didn't seem to think so. Roxas leaned forward, elbows on the table. "So, when you going?" It had to be at least before Christmas break. He doubted Kairi could wait that long to go, given how excited she seemed. Well...a minute ago at least.
  19. Lightning whacked Riku in the chest at the comment. As much as Sora and Kairi deserved the teasing for betting on her and Riku's relationship, he verged on dangerous territory. Especially since Kairi's furrowed brow gave her thoughts away. Kairi fought a blush. Of course it was romantic! The floating lights were a celebration for Rapunzel's birthday, but floating lights all over the kingdom at night? It screamed romance! But...that didn't mean anything...did it? Her periwinkle eyes glanced to Sora. What did he think?
  20. Lightning's smirk remained. "So, what'd you win?" she asked, releasing Riku's hand to take her seat at the table. If Sora and Kairi made a bet, who won? And what did they win? "Well, Sora made the bet that you would get together by Christmas. I said after," Kairi explained. She looked from the new couple to the boy beside her. "If he won, we got to go to Corona." She couldn't wait!
  21. Kairi's gleeful smile turned nervous as she looked to her older best friend. Lightning lifted an eyebrow to back his question. "Uh...well...." she started, tucking some of her hair behind her ear. "Maybe?" Lightning smirked. Those little devils, she thought. They bet on her and Riku? She looked to her boyfriend, wondering how exactly he would react to this new information. Roxas turned his head to the blonde girl beside him. His eyes widened briefly, but then he smiled sheepishly, rubbing the back of his neck as his eyes danced away from hers. Too much?
  22. Kairi lowered her hand so she could grin back at Sora. "Yes!" she cheered with excitement. She couldn't wait! Roxas rolled his eyes in good nature, though he didn't miss Lightning's blush. Apparently this attention got the best of her, but it was nothing to be ashamed about. "I'll get there," he said in his defense. Eventually.
  23. Kairi put a hand to her mouth, but then she turned to Sora. Their bet! They made a bet regarding when Riku and Lightning would start dating. She lost, but she didn't even care. This meant she got to go to Corona! Roxas smirked. "Looks official to me," he said, lifting a hand to wave at the couple. "About time." There was so much tension between them before. This was bound to happen. What happened at the gym last night, after he and Namine left?
  24. Lightning lifted her free hand to hold Riku's arm as they walked, leaning against him slightly. She closed her eyes as the words reached her. She didn't know what she did to deserve him, but she was grateful. She could see herself falling in love with him, easily. She had already fallen this hard.
  25. Lightning fought her blush, but she ultimately lost. She faced forward again, eyes on their path. "You're too much, Riku," she said softly, but it wasn't meant as an insult. Not in the slightest. He was incredibly kind, sincere. She had never met someone like him. He had a certain...mystery behind him too, but she would solve it with time.
