"Very well then, let's hurry along." Rytt said. The group only had a bit to go past the chemical lab before they reached it. It was a room of all white, with two huge glass windows on either side. The door from the chemicals lab they had come from stood opposite two double automatic doors. There was one more door on the wall with the chemical lab door, directly to the left of where the group had come in. "Welcome to the executive entrance. Beyond that door is the Primary Lab. That's where Genesys is." Then the door to their left opened up suddenly- ((Read into the next perspective)) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Terry took position at the front of the group as they all stepped out of the military command room. The hallway from there wasn't very long, leading to one more door. Through that the group found themselves in a great white room, with two huge windows on the left and right walls, and two double automatic door in front of them. "Through there..." Veridyan said "is the primary lab, where you c-" It was then that he noticed there three other people in the room. Derik, Ferro, and Alex. "...can find Genesys." Veridyan finished. "Crap." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- As Seraphim and Rodin walked through the armor section, unbeknownst to them, the light vibrations of their footsteps unsettled the decade-old weaponry. It took but a single step for one of the devices to fall from it's shelf.... The force of the explosion rocketed them forward, and it caused a chain reaction. Explosives, chemical gasses, incendiary devices, all going off in a domino effect. The door was ahead of them over a dozen meters away, with malfunctioning weaponry every step of the way. That was their ticket out, and they needed to get out fast, the entire armory began to self destruct as the weapons activated around them. "Move!" Elaryse commanded, "you've got to move now!" The door opened into a

"No need" Veridyan's voice came through. "I'm running a diagnostics check on your biology right now. I'll admit, this is impressive, it is almost entirely sustained organic tissue, but it can't mask the fact that your brain holds no human neurons. The electrical signals in your mind are actually that of stored data in constant interaction with itself. It's mimicking a human brain in it's activity, as we do. You're definitely an SA." There was a pause. "But it doesn't make any sense. Why would you knowingly get into the suit I supplied you knowing I had the diagnostics to find you out? Did you think that you woul-" He suddenly stopped. "I can't believe it. Your memory. You don't have SA-type memory. Your memory banks are purposefully fluctuating, replicating human memory. And you... you don't actually hold any memory of being an SA. Somehow... someone wanted you to blend in so well with the group of humans that they somehow wiped your memory of any SA knowledge and replaced it with human. You truly... truly think you're a human being." The alarm continued to sound. "Well, you're not the immediate threat then," Veridyan continued, "If you didn't know you were an SA then your purpose may have been hardwired into your personality more than your memory. I don't know why a rebel SA was placed into an artificial body and put along with cryogenically frozen humans, but it happened for a reason. There ain't no point in asking you anything, or blaming you, because you wouldn't know I guess, but all of the rest of you have to keep an eye on him. He'll be able to infiltrate computer systems manually if he transfers certain data packets to them, giving him a sort of cyber-weapon if he chooses to use it. Still, Terry, you don't look evil to me, and we need all the help we can get." The doors still sat closed and locked on both sides of the room. "So, let's get to busting those doors open before the room's self-destruct system kicks in. Dog-boy, wanna things started?" Veridyan asked expectantly. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "Okay then, only a bit further" Elaryse's voice, "The door over there should lead through the quick section of the armory shipping department then you'll be at the entrance to the Primary Lab." The door on one of the far walls then opened, showing rows upon rows of different devices and various pieces of weaponry lining the walls, it was like an extended hallway, and another door lay on it's far side. "Head through," Elaryse said "and meet all the various monstrosities I got the horror to witness in my time. Shipped out to different solar systems, used to wipe planets off the face of the galaxy, spreading immeasurable pain and suffering because people didn't agree with my creators. This place was one of the primary research labs for the UHC's was effort during the civil war, and the scars still show." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "You needn't slow yourself down," Rytt spoke from their wrist consoles. "I can simply configure the options in a moment if you wish, you'll just have to interface with the system and I do the rest. The chemicals are effective, you'll be able to select either lethal or non-lethal options if you choose to use them. The UHC war scientists were... comprehensive. They came up with quite a few options for killing other humans. I am not suggesting you necessarily use them, but they are an option..." It was either use the chemicals or risk coming into contact with the groups very very soon....

"Hmm" Rytt thought aloud, "well the suit should compensate for about 27.43 percent of the -" Just then the buzz of the microwave corridor turned off. "I don't believe it... " Rytt said, "It looks like one of our friends turned off the microwave. Maybe the other SA groups aren't so hostile as I thought. Keep your guard up, but in any case, you better continue on, I don't know how long the system will be off for." The door on the far side of the now-cooling hallway opened up. On the far side was a huge laboratory area. Different machines were spread out all over the room. Chemicals has leaked in certain areas, leaving the place smelling terrible and certain corners of the lab looking dangerous. "This is the chemicals maintenance labs," Rytt chimed in, "The cures won't be in here, we'll have to move to primary labs. While we're here, though, I'll give you guys an option. The console in the center of the lab ahead of you controls where the chemicals are routed. If you force enough of certain chemicals into specific areas of the facility you can significantly slow down our competitors. I don't want to sway you one way or the other, but it may help us quite a bit. If you don't want to do it, let' just pass through the lab and move into the Executive's Primary lab entrance, where you can access the primary lab where Genesys is. Just remember, if you don't try to slow down the other groups now, you may have to face them directly." The hallway stood before them leading to the chemical's lab. A single text-based message then was transmitted to each of the three holoconsole's. It was simple, and it was short. Not everything is as it seems. Be careful who you listen to and be careful who you trust. Your enemies are closer than you know. Come to the Primary Lab. Learn the truth. ---Vergyl ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Not much farther" Elaryse's voice came in. "From the resource bay you should be able to travel through the sorting and packaging room and then into the security sector, where the Primary lab access is. That's where Genesys will be." The door before them both opened up, and before them was a large room with various conveyer belts, cranes, magnetic transport systems and more. There were no longer actual thing being brought down the packaging lines, just bits of garbage and scrap. The machines seemed strange as if they weren't working as intended. In a moment Seraphim was suddenly tugged into the room. She was pulled in and upward towards a magnetic crane. Her hacking upgrade and suit gave her extra magnetic resonance, which kept her firmly attached to the crane. It moved her towards a compactor at incredibly high speeds. At the same time a malfunctioning clamp crane jolted through the door and grabbed Rodin's leg and pulled him in the opposite direction, along a line towards an incinerator. "Damn!" Elaryse seemed quite angered by these turn of events. "The machines are malfunctioning badly! I guess a few decades of no repair will do that. Seraphim, I'm giving you the access codes to the mechanical system. Hack it right now and see if you can get yourself down from there! Rodin, see if you can destroy that clamp that has you!" Through the speed of it all and Elaryse's orders, the two probably didn't notice the text message they both received at that moment. Not everything is as it seems. Be careful who you listen to and be careful who you trust. Your enemies are closer than you know. Come to the Primary Lab. Learn the truth. ---Vergyl ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Okey Dokey then" Veridyan didn't seem very phased by the groups decision. The door in front of them opened. Beyond it was a medium sized room with screens covering most of the walls. There were images on all of the screens, each one different, but none of them less than horrific. "Welcome to the military command room of the facility." Veridyan's words felt trampled on. There shots of planets that looked to be entirely ablaze. Shots of villages with children running through the streets suffocating or falling to the ground. Monstrous disfigurations of what once were human beings. "Welcome to the UHC Civil War." Veridyan sighed. "This is what they did to one another. Modern technology was too quick, it didn't lower morale enough. They got creative. This is what they did for years and years and years to one another. And it never stopped. More people died, more planets were destroyed, and neither side cared." There was a pause as the group moved into the room. "It just kept happening, and as a top-tier SA I got to see it all. All the sick horrors they put on their fellow humans. Again, again, and again..." Then, as the group moved into the room, it suddenly sealed. Both the door they came from, and the one on the other side of the room shut quickly. An alarm went off. "Rebel-made SA present," a robotic voice began over the loudspeaker. "Repeat. Rebel SA is in the room. Lockdown initiated. Dispose of Rebel SA to end lockdown." Through the red lights of the alarm the faces of each member of the group could be seen. "This doesn't make sense..." Veridyan pondered "I'm not a rebel SA, I'm UHC. This just doesn't-" He stopped himself. "It can't be...." his voice returned as Henko's wrist console suddenly lit up. "You're human..." Veridyan began, then Rin's wrist console flashed "so are you..." then Rija's "and you are too..." Then Terry's.... It flashed for a long while. "You..." Veridyan's voice didn't have it's normal merriment in it. "You aren't a human at all. You're... you're a highly advanced Sentient Artificial in an artifical human replicant body. You... you're a rebel super computer put into a near-human body...." The alarm flashed, the horrific pictures shone form the screens, and the group was left in the sealed room with a robotic being they thought was human.

Alex's wrist-console showed the molecular structure of the chemical affecting Derik, just sent by Rytt. The doors opened and beyond them was. . . Heat. So much heat. A robotic voice kept repeating the same phrase over and over and over again. "Facility security compromised. All hallways locked-down with microwave defense mechanisms." The door led into a hallway of sorts. Grates to walk on and instead of walls were small oddly shaped devices- microwave transmitters. About a 40 second sprint on the other side of the hallway was another door. With the grate for a floor and no ceiling or walls, creating a portal was impossible. Rytt was the first to speak; "Microwave defense mechanisms, the bastards! They must have activated at some point over the past few years, and there's no way to shut them off except if you turn off the alert system in the security wing or shutting off the supply which is coming from the weapons silo. You'll have to hoof it I'm afraid, and with Derik... be fast." The heat was already beginning to distort bits of their armor. A sprint through would leave the armor mostly disfigured, carrying a person through would leave it all but useless, meaning they wouldn't have much armor left nor would they be able to go into space. "It's your call..." Rytt seem helpless. "Leave Derik or risk your armor's integrity. If you leave Derik, you may not make it back in time to give him the antidote, it's up to you, Ferro, Alex." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The last drone quickly retreated back into the vents. "Of course I do, dog-boy!" Veridyan responded cheerfully to Henko. "Through that door in front of you all of you should be able to enter the weapons testing labs. Before you do, though, I want to inform you of an option you may consider taking. Next to the door is the console that controls the energy output for this silo. At the same time as this place stores weapons it also stores the energy supply tanks for all major defensive systems. Right now I'm detecting that Rytt's group is being forced to go through a microwave hallway that will severly damage their armor or maybe even injure them. If you go to that console before moving on and turn off the supply line for the microwave defense systems then they will be able to make it through unharmed..." Veridyan was hesitant to say what came next. "If you didn't, though, you could help to guarantee that Rytt's group would be at a disadvantage getting to Genesys. Talk it over, but you guys better make it quick, wherever you choose you need to move through the testing labs as soon as possible." An automatic door stood info of Veridyan's group, with a small computer console next to it....

Derik emerged from the huge chemical pool, and was able to just get out of the vat when a transmission from Rytt came in. "Okay, I just finished getting analysis back on the chemical. It was used during the civil war. It was a... Oh no..." Whether he wanted to or not, Derik suddenly toppled to the ground. "It's a poison and paralyzing agent combined. It was designed to lower enemy moral by paralyzing and slowly killing the host. It seems to have gotten through Derik's armor." Pain spread throughout Derik's body and he was unable to move, except minor hand movements and speaking. "We need to get him deeper into the facility, there's a chance they made a cure." Rytt sounded somewhat distraught. The door deeper into the facility was just in front of them. "Use the keycard, and one of you will have to carry Derik, hurry!"
-
Echoes and Ash (RP)
The Keycard could be seen through the translucent substance, it was at the bottom of the vat, all that was needed was to grab it... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The cargo was hit by Rodin's rounds, but, though they were slightly pushed back, it only took moments for them to resume sliding towards Seraphim and Rodin. To make matters worse, the hole was expanding at a significant rate, and both Seraphim and Rodin were lashed at by wind and rain, and slowly pulled out into the ever-present storm... If they were fully pulled out of the facility the storm was simply too powerful for them to be able to get back in, it was now or never... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The drones coming after Henko and Terry crashed into the ground and exploded. The other drones, however, zeroes in quickly on Rija and Rin... closer and closer...
-
Echoes and Ash (RP)
"It's not Organic, Ferro, sorry," Rytt said ", I can't seem to get a match on anything similar to it's molecular makeup." "Oh, and Derik, the doors are a no-go. This is... was one of the premier research facilities, almost nothing is bringing down that door if it wasn't meant to open." There was a quick pause, then Rytt's voice came right back. "Damn, the other ships are deploying shuttles. We've got to move fast. I hate to ask, but someone has to. In the center of the vat is the keycard and we need it now." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Good, then let's get moving!" Veridyan stated cheerfully. The tram everyone was in shot off down the side of the ship. "Missiles, bombs, possibly incendiaries, you guys gotta take pictures for me!" The tram arrived at the shuttle bay and the passengers were moved to the shuttle. "Oh yeah, hold on!" The shuttle blasted away from the Rex in moments and spiraled through the atmosphere. There were several moments of fire on all sides of the shuttle as it entered the atmosphere. Once it did the fire was replaced with pounding rain and wind. The shuttle was tossed violently around. "No, like, seriously, hold on." A huge facility came into view. The shuttle veered towards a huge cylindrical area. It was a shake landing, but the shuttle made it into the loading bay well enough. The shuttle door opened up after the loading bay closed them off from the fierce storm outside. The silo was huge. dozens of missiles were lined up to the right of the shuttle. To the right were a variety of strange spherical objects and odly shaped metal casings. In front of the shuttle was a huge bulking door. "Good news everyone!" Veridyan seemed happy, but there was something lingering in his voice. "Security was alerted...." Suddenly 5 medium sized aerial drones flew from the deployment vents. Two immediately charged for Henko, with two spinning saw blades each, coming at him from both sides. One charged at Rin with two mounted laser rifles firing down at her. One came down at Terry with the dual saw blades, and the last charged Rija with the dual laser rifles. "Might wanna deal with those guys, cuz we've got even more problems ahead of us." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Let's" Elaryse echoed. The tram didn't take long to transport them to the shuttles. From there Seraphim and Rodin were transferred to the shuttle, which took off within a moment. "There's no time to waste." Elaryse seemed somewhat concerned. The shuttle rocketed into the planets stormy atmosphere. It shook terribly, and rocked violently. Finally it got close to the facility, with the resource wing coming into view. "Good," Elaryse said "we're coming into... wait... the shuttle's controls... damn it!" The shuttle got closer and closer to the huge doors to the resource depot but it didn't slow down. "Brace yourselves!" Elaryse shouted through their wrist consoles. The shuttle ripped through the main door into the resource wing and skidded violently across the ground. The shuttle door broke open, and Rodin and Seraphim were pulled out. Things weren't good. The unearthly feirce wind was pulling at the entire room and the hole from the shuttle crash was widening. All the huge crates and cargo in the resource wing began to move around, and suddenly they all started sliding towards the hole, towards the shuttle.... ...towards Rodin and Seraphim. Fierce wind, blinding rain, and thousands of pounds of resource cargo flying towards them. A single small door sat on the other end of the warehouse. Everything was in chaos. "WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR, RUN!"

Echoes and Ash (RP)
"I'm analyzing it, and..." Rytt was lost in thought for moment. "It's actually not acidic. There was a chemical reaction that destroyed that stick you threw in it, but it wasn't due to any sort of acidic nature and it doesn't seem like it would chemically breakup any human tissue or any of your armor, nor would it break up the keycard itself. It should still be intact."
-
Echoes and Ash (RP)
"Exactly" Rytt added onto Alex's and Derik's explanations as the three loaded into the tram. "You all will be infiltrating the facility to locate the Genesys machine, the one I've talked about, which has a signal emanating from the primary lab in the facility, only several rooms away from the chemical wing." The tram shot along the huge transport corridors of the Bebop to the shuttle bay. "I have no idea what will be in there." Once the transport arrived in the shuttle bay the three were moved directly into the shuttle itself. After a short pause the shuttle doors closed and it rocketed out of the bay towards the planet. It was a bumpy ride. After they made it past the atmosphere the shuttle was faced with fierce rain and winds the likes of which the Earth had never seen. It was jolted and rocked and spun dozens of times. Soon, though, a large structure came into view beyond the dimness of the heavy rain and clouds. "Hold on!" Rytt's voice came in with spurts and sputters as the signal encountered issues. The shuttle suddenly came up to a huge circular section of the facility. The shuttle was rocked around but soon it flew into the entrance bay. It landed softly enough and opened up. A huge blast door was in front of the shuttle. A blast door behind them closed, cutting them off from the outside. The blast door to the interior opened up- showing a huge room with dozens of huge vats and drums within. Each seemed to have some horribly colored liquid coming slowly from it. "Okay," Rytt's voice came form their wrist consoles. "You've got to get a keycard from this room. You'll need it to access the rest of the facility. I can detect one in here, gimme a sec." The biggest vat of chemical was about a hundred or so feet from the entrance door where the shuttle was. A thick yellow substance was oozing from it. It was open at the top, and it was clear that it was nearly full of whatever it was in it. "Oh crap." It was Rytt. "The card is in that vat of chemicals in front of you. Someone..." he paused. "Someone has to go in and get it."

Good for you man, I wish you luck. If you ever need to chat I'll be around.

Depression Help
I think I see where you're coming from. Not all depression is caused by an event or conceivable issue. Quite a lot of it can simply be in part of who we are, which sounds similar to how you're explaining it. The important addition to that point though is that regardless of if it is somewhat intrinsic it is not integral to who we are. Stuff like that can also be hard to describe, so I understand you not necessarily being able to do it in specifics. As for your self-image, that's a tough hand to be played, but it's not insurmountable. Extreme self-critique can be really really rough if you feel the constant need to put blame on yourself. As for your general view on yourself, you gotta understand; people aren't just "good at something". People are usually far more complex than that and very few people ever attain an ability to be truly special at something. The value of a human being doesn't come from that, it comes from their overall self. Try not to beat yourself up for the thought that you aren't very good at anything, firstly I already know from simply talking to you and posting alongside you in RPs that you're quite good at a lot of things, but even if you weren't it doesn't matter- it would be superficial to judge people on things they are simply good at, the value of someone's character comes from more the kind of person they are than their quality in certain facets. I can already honestly tell you that your a good person just from how much I've known you around here. That lingering worry may stick around in one form or another for a while with you. It's better to acknowledge that as that will hopefully allow you to ignore it more in day to day life. The best way to get rid of it, though, is to take action. Meet up with friends, play new games, have a good conversation with someone or take an interesting trip. If you stay active that should hopefully do several things for your self-image. First, it gives you less time to ruminate on that stuff- thinking about yourself is good at times, but if you have a more serious issue with worrying it's better to simply try to get out and do more, an inclination to worry won't go away, so focus on doing things as that will cause you to not worry much more than you would to lead a more normal life. Second, by doing more things with people, and acting on the things you've learned to dislike about your past you get a chance to overwrite the issues you have with yourself. Worried about offending someone? Try to talk with them or cheer them up as that will help you prove to yourself that you can do good. Afraid you aren't being a good friend? Doing something about it will be a great start to changing you perceptions. That same part of you that finds so many faults in yourself is the exact same part of you that can act to change those flaws. It's not easy, but you should certainly feel better for trying, for talking and acting out what you dislike so that you can at least create something better to assuage your fears. If you can recognize issues then you can fix them. It doesn't just instantly get better but you can begin to make a real change by starting a conversation or just focusing on the things you enjoy doing.

KH3 doesn't really feel like a Kingdom Hearts to me...
The main differences seem to simply taking the current art style and proportions of previous Kingdom Hearts and detailing them a lot better. So unless the detail somehow takes away from the look I don't exactly get where you are coming from. Also, the point about it not looking Disney is something they seem to have put a lot of effort into going against for KHIII, seeing how they have talked so much about the Kingdom Shader, which seems to allow for different characters from different worlds to have different shading done as to look more authentic, whereas there was more homogenization in KH and KHII as for the worlds you traveled to. The Rock Titan is a good example of the Kingdom Shader as it seems to show off how they can make it look more like it's original 2d animation even as a 3D model using shading.

The ships descended near to the planets atmosphere. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Elaryse was now moving into action. "The shuttle is in place then, to move towards the resource bay. Everyone put forth their last minute questions and then head through the red door behind you which will send you to the shuttle bay, understood?" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Rytt's hologram reappeared and nodded. "So the Chemicals Lab then? Ask your last questions, then go in the blue door behind you to the tram that will take you to the deployment shuttle." ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Veridyan began to answer Terry's question. "Oh you know, missiles, various bombs, automated turrets, maybe a nuke or two... now that you mention it, that does seem like the most fun entry point. I'll set the shuttle course for there. If ya got any last questions, ask them now, or else head to the green door behind you and get on the tram that will take you to the shuttle." The hologram smirked. "The fun's about to start." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The research facilities monitoring systems began to go off as the three ships approached from orbit. "Hmp." Vergyl thought. "They're finally back. That means...."

Depression Help
As many people here have said, it helps for anyone talking to you about it to know a bit more specifics about it. The important thing here is what specifically is getting to you, that's what we and the rest of your friends can actually address. You talk about self-hate, and while I think we could be of even more help to know more specific things you don't really like in yourself, there's obviously a lot to deal with just in that. Firstly, and I know this may sound cliche, but it's worth reiterating because it is very true and worth saying; a lot of people have feelings like you, and nearly everyone at least as points in their life where they feel like that. First and foremost- you ain't alone. You might feel you are at times, but you aren't. Secondly- being sensitive and worrying about you life and possibly the times you've made mistakes and things you believe you've done can be rough. It can very tough to convince yourself that you shouldn't be worrying or to convince yourself that you don't just mess things up. You have to keep believing that you are a great person, or at least a good person, though, and at times try to enjoy the moment as much as possible without worrying. That doesn't always work, though, and so I would say even more-so than believing in yourself find the people you are close to who believe in you. It is their word that may be the thing to convince yourself how amazing you are as a person, and by doing things with them you begin to see a reflection of your own value in the happiness you bring them. I haven't had the chance to know you very closely, but from all the times that we've interacted around here I know how absolutely excellent of a person you are. I'm not just saying that either, I wouldn't be typing all of this up if I somehow thought you deserved such self-critique, but you don't. Find friends that you are close to, and confide in them, that's what close friendships are for; being able help each other when we're vulnerable, because there hasn't been a single person who hasn't been vulnerable in their life. Talk to them, and I'm sure that they will be there to tell you that your worries are only that. There's no way to simply stop worrying, but if you learn to care about people and let them care about you, then it becomes much easier to see how you have no reason to dislike yourself. If need be, PM me, I'd be happy to chat with you any time. As others have said, though, the more you explain the situation, the easier it will be for people here to be able to get more to the point with helping you out. Don't be sorry, man, it's tough to deal with stuff like that. They probably care about you a lot, and I know that being treated differently can definitely sting, but it's coming from an honest place. Think about talking to them about it, be honest. If they don't seem to be addressing your situation right, then explain how you feel to them as well. Also, understand that a lot of people go to therapists and don't have big issues or anything- it's a good way to just be able to talk about stuff. Don't let it get you down too badly man, you've got people that love you a lot, and that is worth a lot. Just be as honest with you can with them and let them try to understand what you're go through.

"Okay," Elaryse said, "objections to entering through the resource wing?" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Hmm..." Veridyan pondered "so is it gonna be the front door or the weapons silo?" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Alright then," Rytt began "so we've got two options; the security wing or the chemicals building. You guys need to decide."

Echoes and Ash (RP)
After some time with various mechanical systems working on Rodin's armor, they all retracted back into their origin points. Elaryse spoke, "Okay Rodin, the armor is fully mended, you should be fine to suit up again." The hologram shifted to Seraphim. "As for your questions. no; there were no notable SAs involved to my knowledge. Some lesser units may have been used for logistics, but certainly no Y-class to my knowledge." The ship suddenly jolted, and the colors that had been spiralling around it disappeared in lieu of the barely lit blackness of space. They had finished the jump. A planet was before them; dark blue and green in color. "Welcome to Fentralis." Elaryse didn't seem particularly excited. The hologram shifted from her appearance to three different 3d models. "These are the three main ways I can isolate to get you into the facility where Genesys' signal is coming from. The first is to enter from the walter and sewer system underneath the facility. There is less risk here, but it may take longer and I'm not sure what will be down there." The hologram highlighted the second image, which looked to be a helipad. "This is the executive entrance. It's on the roof of the facility. You will be exposed to the harsh stormy elements of Fentralis going in, but it may be faster. I'm not sure about the security you'll face." The third section was then highlighted. "Or you could enter in the recourse bay, I should be able to shuttle you there and convince the security there that you are a resource transport. That will bring you in just fine, but I'm not sure what supplies and resources they kept in the area. There could be hazardous things or technical malfunctions if the items there are too damaged from age." "So..." the three selections were now before them, "Do you want to enter through the sewer entrance, the executive entrance, or the resource bay?" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Rex jumped out of the colorful FTL space and was suddenly hanging over a darkened planet that looked vaguely like Earth if Earth was in a perpetual hurricane. "To answer your question, bud," Veridyan addressed Terry, "yeah I have a next step; you guys are gonna head into the premier UHC research station here where the Genesys signal is coming from and get there before anyone else. Now I get to show you guys how much I cherish democracy!" Veridyan's holographic display disappeared, and in his place were three 3d models of different sections of a futuristic looking building. "You've got three choices of how to enter. I leave it up to the group decision. Number one-" one of the 3d midels was highlighted- a huge metallix shaft next to the huge research facility "- the missile silo. It's where they did certain weapons testing. I can force open the silo doors and you guys can make it in to make your way through some of the most dangerous weapons known to humanity!" The second model was highlighted. "Here's the second choice- The front door. This is by far gonna give you some building security, but I suppose it's the fastest route to the signal which is coming from the primary labs. Just go through the lobby and through some of the scientific testing areas." "Or..." the third model was highlighted. It was a smoking metallic part of the building, crushed inwards. "I could use the other shuttles I have to crash your way in, that would be the quickest, but once you open up the facility to the weather of this planet, it may literally tear itself apart before the end of the day. The weather you remember from your time is nothing near that of Fentralis." "So! Which will it be? The silo? The front door? Or do you wanna smash your way into the labs?" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rytt thought for a moment as the Bebop jumped out of FTL space. "The year is currently 2204, the great poof happened in 2185. From what I recall of your records you were frozen a decade or two beforehand. The rebellion began in earnest about 2179, growing exponentially until the disappearance." He turned to the glass that showed the space in front of them, including the dark blue planet before them. "Back to the matter at hand, this is Fentralis. This is where the UHC premier research station was, that's where Genesys' signal is coming from. Now that we're here, I realize how goddamn big the place is. I'm not the one going down there, so I'll let you guys decide how to approach it. I just analyzed it and I've found 3 spots that are most likely to work and most likely for the other SAs to have chosen for entry." Rytt's holographic projection went away, and three 3D models appeared. The first was a small rectangular building in the shadow of the huge research facility- "This is the tram station, it is a ways from the facility but it's the safest entry point, though I don't know what the state of the underground tunnels that lead from the tram station to the research station." The second was a model of a huge circular building- "This is the chemicals building, where the various chemicals used in the labs. The positive is that it's the closest to the labs, where the Genesys' signal is coming from. The negative is, well, chemicals. It's been 20 years too, which can't mean good things or whatever is in there." The third was a small section of the the huge research facility- "This is the security station for the research building. It's closer than the tram station, but it's also the security station, and I don't know the state of the facility's security systems or defense bots- which are top-of the line." "So... here's the choice for you three; The tram station, the chemical building, or the security wing?"

A bright light suddenly shot out from a relatively small looking construct a ways away from the destroyed station. All three ships immediately began to be pulled towards it. The approached the small space station construct slowly but as they drew closer gained speed at a ridiculous rate. Finally, just as they were about to hit it, a huge blinding light shot out from it, and in the next second all three ships were gone. The three were now speeding through bent fabrics of space-time, colors shifted around the ship and darkness would morph to brightness in moments and then back. They were now traveling faster than light via the intergalactic beacon system. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "There!" Veridyan seemed proud of himself "we're on our way to Fentralis, that's where I can detect Genesys. It's a super rainy and stormy place, but that's why it make for a damn good research facility, it's interesting that it went here..." Veridyan's hologram jumped off the holographic machine where it had been standing and walked over to Henko. "Confused my friend. Lemme lay it out for ya then, 'cause that's what friends are for. We're gonna find the machine I was working on when humanity went poof. It should carry with it the various data logs from that time period. I wasn't able to access it's location after the disappearance, and now we've gotta find it and learn what to do next." He turned and pointed to Rin energetically. "Kill you? Ha, you're a pretty big dummy if you think I wanna kill you. So far you've been a big ol' joy, and you haven't tried to hurt anyone. I mean, you and Mr. Woof Woof here," he inclined his head towards Henko " are better than all those romantic comedies I watched outta boredom over the couple years everyone was gone. Heck if I wanna have you dead! I'm just saying, though, as much as we all want stuff, the reality we're gonna find ain't necessarily gonna be child's play." He then jumped over to Terry. "And you, mister! That's some rough language doncha think? By the way, you can't rip out my core 'cause I don't have one. The data that makes me up is spread over thousands of serves and moves at a constant rate, making me impossible to mess with if ya ain't got a system built specifically to interact with my functions. In any case, you don't have a think to worry about bucko, I'm an open book, I've told you most everything already, if you want to know something, ya just gotta ask silly. You're an interesting guy, ya know that?" --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "It's true," Elaryse began as the ship veered into the wormhole-esque time-curve. "Daerius was crazy. He wasn't always like that though. He was a simple SA, built specifically to teach and relay information. Years of isolation broke him, he wasn't designed for that amount of time to think. He should have been normal at the time of the disappearence. In any case, he lacked both the ability and the clearance to enact any sort of action with such dire consequences." "Oh, and if you were wondering, we're in mid travel because I discovered the location of Genesys- a research planet known as Fentralis." ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rytt watched Derik work a bit as the ship moved into the time-warp. "I've got the signal now, it's from the planet known as Fentralis- a place used as a research base for various UHC projects. It's intriguing that it is there, that will certainly be a dangerous place to explore, so everyone should be prepared. We may need you expertise once in the base, Ferro."

Veridyan sighed. "You gotta just understand; where we're going may not be all candy and rainbows. We'll be racing two other groups of people to find a machine that can change the structure of the life in the universe at a button click. I'm just making sure that we have some ability to do what may need to be done." ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Elaryse considered for a moment. "Yes, Rodin, you can remove the armor that's damaged and place it on this workbench here-" she pointed to a small metal table next to her holographic display. "I will use some on board systems to repair it for you. Also, Seraphim, while it technically could, it builds on a biological and genetic scale, so unless you know the alleles you would desire it would be somewhat difficult to craft a perfect person for your own romantic ventures." She paused. "As for the fourth SA... his name was Vergyl. He was different from the rest of us. We all had distinct personalities and were at least somewhat outward, but Vergyl was very reserved and contemplative. He was effective because he seemed to have an extreme sense of empathy. It made it good when dealing with situation involving outside parties, or trying to understand thought processes, but he was sometimes ultra-sensetive to a point of ineffectiveness. He was the least concerned with the opportunities of Gensys of any of us. He disappeared when the humans did. It may be likely that he was wiped away like almost all the SAs besides us other Y-class ones and some older models."

It was clear that Rytt was still somewhat preoccupied with sifting through data, but he took some time to respond to Derik. "Information? You'll see soon enough I think, but Genesys was a project I collaboared on along with the other SAs and the the primary science team I was assigned to. As you have heard, it was supposed to give the ability to creat new life by storing, rearranging, and releasing matter. It was almost complete when the disappearance happened. At the time things were tense- there was a civil war a-foot. It was brutal from the data I saw. A rebel faction wasn't happy with the way the current government- the United Human Collective- handled things, the creation of Genesys was the catalyst for that war. The last straw. People said that the UHC was playing god. It was a rough time all around." He paused as he focused in on something, then came back to the conversation. "The armory is through the red door behind you. It's a small room with light supplies of most metals and two workbenches. This wasn't originally a military ship so it ain't the biggest workstation." He focused again. "I've just about got it, I'm honing in on the signal that Genesys was meant to output. Any questions before we begin?" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Elaryse sighed at Seraphim's request. "Yes, sure. It's not like I would be using the command seat anyway. In any case, I seem to have traced the various signals that seem identical to the output of the Genesys device. Before I prepare travel, do you have any more questions or requests?" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "Got it!" Veridyan was ecstatic. "I finally found the tracing mechanism to Genesys. It's somewhere in... oh, very interesting. I'll set up the engines to travel through the local beacon so we can go faster than light." He paused. "While I'm doing that, I've got a question for you all, it may be something to think about given what we may find; how far would you go to make life happy for people? What would you be willing to sacrifice?"

Echoes and Ash (RP)
The airlock opened in Rytt's cruiser known as the Bebop, and all those who went towards his ship were allowed entrance. Alex, Ferro, and Derik were now on Rytt's side. From the airlock they were ushered to a transport shuttle taking them to the ship's bridge. A holographic rendering device suddenly turned on, and the image of Rytt's chosen form- a young man in a formal vest and jeans- appeared. "Hey everyone, I'm glad you all have chosen me. I see we've gained a new member." he began to speak to the three before him. "I appreciate you all untethering me. It's given me a far greater expanse of knowledge than even I had thought I could have. I'm narrowing down the results of where Genesys might be at this very moment. Within the minute I should have location. You are all ready to go when I find it right? We'll be on a race, and you'll be facing those people you just met. They will be working for the other SAs. You'll have to watch out, and, if need be, fight them. There may not be a way around that, so is that okay? I hate to be blunt, but that's the reality of it." -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Odin- Elaryse's capital class ship, adjusted to make way for Rodin and Seraphim. The Airlock on the ship's side opened up for them. Elaryse's voice came into Seraphim's helmet just then. "You want information, of course, and I... apologize for the inconvenience of keeping it from you before, we were in a hurry and explaination of this magnitude takes time. Even now the full story would simply take too long." As Rodin and Seraphim continued to move towards the airlock, Elaryse continued. "There were 4 Y-class SAs built for creative and logical processing to create Genesys- the machine that could manipulate matter and forge all new life forms based on schematics or classifications that humans could input. We were created to allow the human race to play god in a way. The development of this accelerated the polarization of the human colonies and stations under the main government of the UHC- the United Human Collective. There was a civil war. It seemed to be playing out as most wars do- lots of death and despair and no real victory in sight. It was then that for some reason humans disappeared. On board I can give you more data to upload for your reading purposes." The two were brought aboard and taken by shuttle to the bridge. Elaryse's holographic image appeared in the center of the room. "So there are less of you now... I see. Regardless, we must continue on. You, Seraphim, you wanted proof I did not cause this. You ask for proof that does not exist to us now. It will be at the location of Genesys, which I am confirming at this moment. The project was vast, but only 4 SAs had direct contact with it. Several top tier human scientists did as well. There should be some degree of logs. The other SAs we contest against may simply be stupid or they may be attempting to cover something up. You want the truth? I will show it to you. You both will be sent in. I may be forceful, but I am fair. I am not your puppetmaster, you are not my tools..." She paused. "But we must work together is something is to be done. The truth is a difficult thing for someone in your position to ascertain I know, but I will do my best to not obstruct you from doing so. That is the greatest consolation I can give you now. I almost have the location from the added information I have in my post-tether state, are you prepared to contest the others and find the truth for yourself?" ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Rin, Henko, Rija, Terry- these were the few to enter the Rex, Veridyan's green capital ship. Once inside the main airlock they were ushered up to a shuttle that took them to a bridge. Different consoles sat around the room, with a huge pane of glass showing the rubble that had just come from. In the center was a holographic processor projecting Veridyan's crafted self-image of the young boy in normal proportions in front of them. "Awesome!!!!" Veridyan seemed happy. "Glad to see everyone again! It's good you didn't all die, that'd suck a lot!" He was manically happy for a moment, but he calmed himself down soon after. "But, seriously guys, thanks for coming back, you didn't hafta, and I'm glad you did..." In a moment he was back up to his normal cheeriness. "So! Now I'm untethered I'm tracing the various bits of info I've got and soon I should have them assembled into usable data to locate Genesys. Pretty soon we're gonna have to race those other two groups to wherever it is and maybe even fight em for posession. I know that's probably not what you wanna hear, but there's no other way around it if they've got the same prize in mind that we want. I just don't know Rytt and Elmo's intentions enough to side with em. So you guys gotta be able to help me out here and together we can fix this!" He yawned, it has already been a hell of a day, but there was much more head than behind. "So take a second to get reacquainted while I get the final location." "Oh-" he had a sudden remembrance. "And it's nice to meet you Rin."

Echoes and Ash: An Original Sci-Fi RP (Sign Ups)
Just so you all know, I'm not gonna be posting anything on the RP till tomorrow just to give a bit more time till the deadline for deciding. So don't worry if your characters interactions with SAs aren't immediately returned.

Echoes and Ash: An Original Sci-Fi RP (Sign Ups)
ATTENTION ALL RPers. I know that some of you may have lost a bit of what is going on, and understandably so, but now that this section of the story is over I'm hoping to refocus a bit, and as a result, everyone should be able to get back into the swing of things. First a quick recap; everyone infiltrated SS-Psi to untether their respective SAs to learn the truth of the human disappearance, going against an antagonistic AI names Daerius. They discovered the origin of Veridyan, Rytt, Elaryse, and mysterious fourth SA names Vergyl. All three groups met in the bridge and proceeded to the main nexus area, where Daerius and the tether controls. There they defeated all the enemies sent against them defeated Daerius, learned about a mysterious project known as the Genesys machine, and finally Seraphim untethered all three SAs. Daerius triggered a station self-destruct at the last moment, though, and now everyone is floating in space. From here you must choose one of the three SAs to ally with, and go and find the Genesys machine and discover the origin of the mass human disappearance, as well as fight the players who ally with the other SAs. I will give until Sunday night for this choice to be made. After that all people remaining in space will be considered killed.

Echoes and Ash (RP)
Boom. It was a boom from faraway, then it turned into a crunch. Then more booms. More crunches. The room jolted, the screens cracked. The elevator was jolted out of position. The sounds drew closer as the rocks and jolts grew more pronounced. The destruction protocol had engaged. "Done..." Rytt said. "Looks like we're all untethered. You want files, you want information, first things first, get off this station." "Second..." Veridyan now. "We aren't friends, we three. You want info? We ain't gonna be all buddy buddy to give it to ya, make it to my ship, I'll show you what you want." Before anything else could be said, the entire room crumpled around them. The walls broke away with frightening speed. The spacesuit helmets for everyone immediately engaged once the vacuum reached the room. Within moment everyone on the station was simply floating in space in a pile of torn rubble. 3 Ships sat to each direction. One Red- Elaryse, the confident and straightforward one. One Blue- Rytt, the personable, yet sarcastic one. One Green- Veridyan, the spontaneous and jovial one. Everyone here had allegiances to one of these three, but now was the time to choose for themselves. The next part of the journey was going to go to places not one of them had imagined, and they would be faced with choices they may not be able to find a good answer to. This was the first of many. It was time to choose.
