    It's a long explanation, so here goes..

    At the end of Birth by Sleep, Ven's heart went inside Sora, and remained there until KH1, so the moment in KH1 when Sora stabbed himself to save Kairi, and he lost his heart, he lost Ven's heart too in the process. When Sora lost his heart, and Roxas was born, Roxas took the form of Ven instead of Sora's, and while that happened Ven's heart remained inside Roxas. This remains that way until the end of KH2, when Roxas and Sora me...
