  1. (Sorry, but I'm just developing Ferro's character. He's uncouth, and nothing to do about it.) Ferro~~~~~ Chips let out a wail as Sanya flashed, and Vell picked up his humming again. Ferro took one glance, then locked eyes with Sanya. "It is impolite to present yourself in such a forward manner." he said, as if repeating something someone had said in the past. Birgitte made a choking sound, as if Ferro had insulted her, then practically screeched, "I can't deal with you!" Then, in a more civilized tone and volume, "I apologize for the behavior of my . . . companions (this said with a grumble) . . . and beg your pardon." Ferro broke out laughing, as if it was the funniest thing in the world. As if it had happened before. But then the recording came on, and Ferro fell silent to listen. Cathos~~~~~ Like everything, the elemental golem only earned a raised eyebrow from Cathos. As it was right now, all he did was put his mind in a state of readiness, preparing a defensive wall to fling up and crafting a few nasty counters. He could tell the golem was mindless; his best attacks could not harm it. The counters he prepared were all physical counters.
  2. Or society has degenerated over millennia while the Kamyn were frozen.
  3. Ferro~~~~~ Ferro looked openly at Sanya as she dressed. And if Ferro looked openly, Vell leered, as much as a crossbow could leer. A humming started in everyone's minds, a soft humming, coming from Vell. Birgitte knew what it meant, and scolded, "Honestly, do none of you have any shame!" "I can't help it! I can't close me eye!" Chips wailed in anguish, clearly distressed. A faint smile appeared on Ferro's face, as much for Sanya as for Chips. Cathos~~~~~ Cathos glanced at the Doctor, then began scanning what he was writing in his book. All of it was stuff he already knew, but it was always good to see information coming from multiple sources. Cathos looked back up into the room, wondering if anyone else was going to come with.
  4. Ferro~~~~~ Ferro out the suffering Kamyn out of his mind for the time being. "I'll protect us. Chips can lend each and every one a shield." Even as he spoke, plates of white metal separated from Chips, coming to float around each member if the group. "I'll take the front to break attacks." "It'll be one hell of a time!" Vell cackled. Cathos~~~~~ Cathos arched his eyebrow at the fleeing Kamyn. They didn't seem as powerful as everyone made them out to be. Could the knowledge they possessed even be worth the trouble of coming here? Cathos shook his head almost imperceptibly. That was a silly question. Any knowledge was worth the price. He put himself mentally into the lift, waiting for others to follow.
  5. Ferro~~~~~ Ferro tilted his head to the right slightly as Sandrew began playing his harmonica. The boy was brave, and humble. "You left out all you yourself did." Ferro whispered, to himself. And then the next moment he was on his feet, holding Birgitte in a death grip as a group of magical beasts burst out of the earth carrying a girl. He relaxed when he heard their purpose, but only by a hair. Ferro had fought all of these beasts before, out in the wilderness, and he was prepared to fight if he must. Cathos~~~~~ Cathos sidestepped through dimensions, vacating the space the burst of elemental power now entered. He stretched out a net of mental energy, hurling it at and capturing the blast. As the power was encompassed, it was forced into spherical shape and slowly shrank away to nothing. Cathos had drained it into the being's dimension, to feed it's intellect. He felt a minute increase in his strength, a hair compared to what he already had, but still there. Now there was just Griver left.
  6. Ferro~~~~~ Ferro stepped forward from the Gold group after making sure Sandrew was comfortable on the floor. "I'll be one to answer for my group, the Gold group. Chips, would you sum it up for me." A happy vibe preceded Chips's exclaimation: "Adventure!" Ferro smiled, and said, "Me and my buddies, my artifacts, if you will, have no other purpose than to explore. We came to this mountain because it was here. Actually finding something worth the trek would be just a happy coincidence, and we've made new friends on the way." Something I'd never think I would do, he thought to himself.
  7. Cathos~~~~~ Cathos arched an eyebrow at Sanya. "How do you obtain knowledge that is not even part of this dimension?" he queried of her as he attacked with a mental thrust. His mind was keener than any, and this attack could cut flesh and thought both before the victim was even aware of it. He quickly aimed a second thrust at Griver. It didn't matter that the Doctor was between Cathos and his targets; the attacks would both originate and end in the minds of his targets. Ferro~~~~~ Kneeling next to Sandrew, Ferro gathered him up in both hands. "I think we should rest for the time being, to give Sandrew a chance to regain some of his energy. Clearly, the Kamyn are too busy to push us forward right now." Carrying Sandrew over to where the rest of the group had gathered, he sat down and held the boy in his lap. Ferro couldn't understand how the boy thought of himself as cowardly; Sandrew was one of the bravest people he had ever seen, but not in a foolhardy way. Ferro smiled and shook his head.
  8. I feel like I should go press the button, but I'm afraid no one on gold team will post after me.
  9. Rigger chittered softly, a sound that could be taken for laughter. Only one thing marred his glee: his prey was not afraid. But it was still prey, and Rigger was hungry. Raising its four scythe blades, Rigger let out a screech and leaped straight at the man, blades ready to skewer. The leap crossed the distance in about a second; Rigger had powerful legs. After his charge, Rigger pushed off from his foe, then sprayed four streams of extremely hot juices as he flew through the air and landed on the opposite riverbank. He immediately began climbing up the far wall.
  10. You two are the first ones finished. I'll put both of you on the rankings.
  11. Something like a smile stretched across Rigger's face. His prey was here, and unawares. But Rigger liked prey that was afraid, and to make prey afraid, he had to show himself. A drop of acid ran slowly down his mandible, then dropped. It seemed to hang in the air for minutes during the second it took to fall and land on the man's bare blade. Rigger's smile widened, glee in his eyes.
  12. (He lives!)
  13. Ferro~~~~~ Despite the surge of energy he had received from Sandrew, Ferro fell to his knees from exhaustion. "That was one helluva fight!" Vell said with relish. Ferro looked around and saw his allies had recovered. Then he noticed the cocoon. "Sandrew!" Ferro dashed over, laying a hand on the cold chrysalis. "Will he survive?" asked Chips. "I don't know. He used a lot of energy." Ferro replied. Cathos~~~~~ Cathos smiled at the Doctor's remark. "Indeed, it is a cliché." he chuckled as he used mental force to divert the the hurricane into the hydro cannon. The powerful winds completely destroyed the stream of water, and a quick jab of the mind in the right place unravelled the wind storm. Glancing over at the Doctor's big book, Cathos got a thoughtful look on his face. "Maybe there are some things I could learn from you, Doctor."
  14. (Pout. Fine.)
  15. (My brain just fizzled. What?)
  16. Cathos probably could approach the Kamyn's level of power, but it would be dangerous for his physical form to draw more power from the great being than he does already.
  17. (Neko, you have a shiny Kabutops? Cool.) (And technically, I'm at my post limit until MDS posts.)
  18. (I would call it god modding, and if not then close to it. The Duke's stuff, not Sandrew's.)
  19. Ferro~~~~~ Chips shed heat, and in moments Ferro was free and steaming. Digging the bottom of Chips into the ice for stability, he fired a huge gout of white flame in the direction of the group. A path was quickly melted through the ice, and Ferro slid down it and melted the ice off of the group. "There's no where to run!" he yelled to Sandrew. "But I'll do my best to protect them." More metal plates slid off Chips, lining the edge of the small dome in the ice and locking in place. A concerned feeling radiated from Birgitte; concern, nothing more.
  20. Ferro~~~~~ Ferro sucked in a huge lungful of air as the water rose up over his head. He deftly blocked the fire bolts coming from his duplicate using floating plates from Chips. Stowing Vell on his back, he snatched up Birgitte and floated there in the water, waiting for his opponent to come to him. Cathos~~~~~ "You speak when you do not know, Doctor." Cathos said, using the statement to encompass everything the Doctor had said to him. "And when you know, you do a disservice by not speaking." Cathos formed a wall in front of him using his mind, and the tiger that was charging was thrown back as it hit it. Then Cathos summoned a large hand of greymatter to grab the beast. (Cathos really doesn't care about the Doctor too much. He's wrapped up in his own mind.)
  21. (Did Sandrew just die, or is he doing something else?) Ferro~~~~~ Ferro growled when he saw the Kamyn appear and transform. Stabbing Birgitte into the ground for easy retrieval, he took out Vell and began firing bolt after bolt of hot white at the dragon. Vell was cackling of course, but Ferro tuned it out as he fired trying to hedge the monster away from his fallen comrades. Cathos~~~~~ Cathos frowned as Sanya appeared in the lift, and immediately teleported to the far end of the table. Something was. . . different about her. Cathos studied for a moment before realizing she was Kamyn now. He could feel it from her mental vibrations. "She is not an ally anymore." he told the group. He held himself ready, body and mind, for the inevitable fight.
  22. http://kh13.com/forum/topic/77384-ravine-hunting-fighting/?p=1472623 Here it is, Yuffie!
  23. Two mountains thrust themselves out of the grassy plain, incongruous with the seemingly endless flat area. Between them was a stream, swift enough to pull a man off his feet. Over millennia, the stream had worn away a deep ravine between the peaks. Sunlight slanted down past a hundred feet of stone, pocked with small caves and ledges, to sparkle on the swiftly moving water. The water ran almost arrow straight through the crevasse, leaving wide banks of stone on either side. Gradually descending down a slope at one end, the water went through a small opening at the other into endless darkness. Rigger was poised at the edge of one of those caves in the cliff wall. He chattered to himself quietly, patiently waiting for his prey. He knew something would come through here eventually. . . A drop of acid dripped from his small mandible and was swallowed up by the fast current. Rigger was hungry.
