Ferro entered the police station with Kai and Shou. It seems they had left the mercenary behind. The guards at security took his blowgun and darts from him. Ferro didn't mind overly much. He went with Kai to a room and closed and locked the door behind him. "Hey, take it easy, Kai. I don't think Shou has any control over Gen's actions. These kinds of personality splits happen." We should be safe if Gen decides to come out, Ferro thought. Shou is handcuffed. Ferro just wished he had his blowgun. He didn't want to have to pull out his other abilities.

Ferro saw the change out of the corner of his eye. Shou had fallen asleep and his wings had disappeared. One less thing to explain once we get to the station, Ferro thought.

Silhouette
(Reverted. . . Does that mean his wings went away?)

Are you the real Slim Shady? Or merely a horrible prank pulled by the evil Natron?
I am not evil!

"Sure, I'll come. Let me sit next to Shou, so I can stick him quick with a dart if Gen decides to come out and play." Ferro got in and sat in the seat to the left of Shou. (This is assuming Shou is in the back of the vehicle.)

What is it with you guys and multiple characters? Is one not good enough?

The lightning hit the oncoming wave of air and the air sphere, destroying both, but slowing down the lightning just enough for Ferro's extreme reflexes to kick in. He shot up into the air again as the lightning passed below, then landed to one side outside of the circle of flames. As he fell, he started spinning, and by the time he hit the ground, he had built up air to send out another wide wave. The wave slammed through the circle of flames, putting it out.

(Heh, it seems so. The spectators are in awe.) Ferro let out a snort as Tsubaki created his steam-screen. Didn't he know airborne visual inhibitors are easily bypassed by a little wind? Ferro dropped to the ground, keeping his built-up air with him. He expended a small portion of it in a wide breeze that swept the fog away. There you are. Then he unleashed a long sweeping air slash. He quickly followed it by forming another explosive air sphere, launching it after the wave.

Ferro stopped his backward motion as the flames closed in. "Trapping an airbender is said to be a difficult task." Ferro commented as he sent a downward gust of air to propel himself up and out of harm's way. "I don't know if that's true or not. Maybe you could tell me." Before he had a chance to fall, he whirled his arms in a circle, forming a sphere of air, which he hurled down toward Tsubaki. This provided a slight upward momentum, which Ferro used to regain his balance and start hovering in the air. He moved the air in two upward circular currents to keep himself aloft, which also served to build up air speed for a future attack.

Ferro thought a minute. "I say we form a task force. We need to get people on investigating the possessions, and since it seems we're the ones doing it, we may as well be the task force. Also, maybe a transformation like this -" Ferro gestured to Shou's wings - "is related to the possessions in some way." There isn't any link, Ferro thought. If there was, these would have started a long time ago.

As the flames approached, Ferro made a parting motion with his hands, and the flames were blown to the side. He saw the firebender was trying to close with him. "You firebenders just have to get up in everyone's grill, don'cha." Ferro pushed forward with his hands, creating a large gust of wind. He let the force of the blast propel him backward, and after several meters he started bending into a backwards flip. He curled up, letting himself spin in the air for a second, then slashed with his hands as he unfurled and landed, launching a vertical sheet of compressed air toward Tsubaki.

Ferro saw his opponent move, and executed a spinning motion as his opponent leaped. The motion built up speed, and Ferro unleashed a powerful air blade, slicing straight through the flames and parting them to either side. He quickly dropped down and made another spinning move, sending a low air slash to try and catch Tsubaki as he landed.

Ferro assumed his stance. He had been surprised when he was let in to the tournament, wanted criminal as he was. But they had let him in. His staff was resting with his other things in the viewing gallery. No weapons was the rule. Ferro remained light on his feet, waiting for his opponent to make the first move.

Ferro glanced at Yassen as he picked up Shou. "If you know how to put those wings away, do it. Carrying you will be easier." Ferro put his blowgun away. He went and supported Shou's other side. "Can you tell us a little more about when and how Gen comes on? It would be nice to have some advanced knowledge if he decides to come back."

"Is there any way to control him? If we are going to have you stick around, we can't have you turning into a maniac every other minute." Ferro looked over Shou's body. He was partially paralyzed, had been shot, and had been in an ambulance crash. "Then again, you aren't in any condition to be frolicking around. We would get you to a hospital, if the emergency lines weren't dead." Ferro frowned. "You. . . do know what is going on, don't you?"

Ferro stood up and turned to Kai. "What do you think about this? I'm having a hard time buying it." He turned to Yassen. "Any input is well appreciated. What's your name, by the way?"

"You went berserk, is what happened. You crashed an ambulance and attempted to kill us. What do you mean, you birthed Gen? You need to get your sanity straight before anything else." Ferro was losing patience with this guy.

I'm pretty sure water pwns fire. Fire doesn't have enough physical substance. It is easily dispersed by a defensive move. Same with air. Earth and water are much more physically present elements. You can make solids with them. Air and fire are force and energy. Earth and water are matter.

Ferro heard the noticeable, unnatural change in Gen's voice. "Wait Kai! Don't hurt him. He's paralyzed anyway." Ferro walked over to the prone figure and examined his face. Do we have a whole split-personality-type thing going on? "What in the hell was that?!" he yelled in Gen/Shou's face. "First of all, it isn't natural for a person to have wings. Second of all, why would you do something like crash the ambulance? You aren't possessed, I can tell." Ferro would play it dumb and pretend not to know about people transforming into things.

I'm surprised at the relative lack of waterbenders as compared with firebenders. I think water is far better than fire. And earth is probably better than air. I've found ways to get around that, though.
