  12. I was outside, in my front yard. I was sitting and laughing in the grass with a friend who lived a couple houses down the street from me. I had my cellphone and purse next to me on my right and a small stuffed fox (that Schemer bought me) on my left. My friend noticed that it was getting late, yet it was still slightly sunny out. Still, she had to go home for dinner. I walked her home which took about less than a minute to get there and back. I left all my stuff there in the front yard. I was gonna be back soon so no need to carry everything with me. But that was a terrible mistake. Moments later, when I was back home on my front yard, I've noticed something was missing. No not my purse or phone. It was my toy fox! I loved that fox so much! And who would have taken a fox out of all the other things that I had?! I immediately started searching around. Maybe some kid took it when I was gone. Unfortunately, I did not see anyone nearby, not even when I was walking home. Just then, something caught my eye. Something small and white... It was a small fluffy dog trotting around the sidewalk. He had no collar, was sorta thin, and his fur was covered in dirt and knots. I assumed it was a stray. But what angered me was when I realized that my adorable stuff fox that meant the world to me was in that dog's mouth! I dashed straight to the dog, which just made him run. He ran across the street and I just followed it, not caring about anything else. How foolish of me. I heard a car coming, one of those fast cars with a careless teenager in them. I turned my head for a split second only to see that it was a moment away from hitting me! I caught a glimps of the driver. A young girl, on the phone, paying no attention that she was less than a second away from completely crushing my thin, fragile body. And worse of all, my body completely froze in fear. Just then, just when I thought and accepted the fact that my life was going to be over, I felt something push me. It felt like a hand... A hand that pushed my right shoulder hard. I felt my body falling, and my face about to crash into the cold, black concrete. But it didn't, suprisingly. It crashed into something soft and fluffy. My eyes opened, and I realized that my head was resting on my soft toy fox. I got up quickly, trying to compute what just happened. I was supposed to be dead. But no, I realized that I tripped away before the car hit me. I looked at the direction the car was going, it continued without a clue about me. No one was around, not a single person saw this. But then... how? How did I fall? I could have sworn that my shoulder was pushed, I felt it! I grabbed my fox and walked across the street, this time looking both ways. Even the stupid mutt was out of sight. I sighed in relief. My heart was still beating fast and my blood felt icy cold. But I laughed a little to myself, both in relief and nervousness. Whatever made my trip, I sure was thankful for it. Whew~ Yep, that's what happened.
