I feel your pain, my parents get under my skin all the time. You say that you can't argue with them even when you're right, but you should argue anyway. Like you said, you're 18 (if you're not yet, you're probably close to it) you're not a kid anymore, if you have something to say to them, you have a right to say it. Actually trying to start an agreement may not sound like the brightest of ideas, but sometimes that's how problems like this are solved, if you somehow managed to compromised with them, thats great, but by the sounds of your dad, might not happen. Try to talk to them about this first and see if they'll listen

Hey, don't worry too much about getting wrecked in the beginning, and this goes to everyone else that says this or will say this. While I absolutely love this game, there are just the smallest things that could always do with fixing. Your problem is a common one, starting up Monster Hunter for the very first time cam be rather slow, and being the kinda equipment that makes the game much smoother than when you start out takes a good while. If you decide to give it another try, being a bit more patient might help(my first time ever even picking up the game I student really think it would be that intresting, since the very first things you hunt are just dinosaurs and a slightly bigger version of an already tiny dinosaur, I wanted to see some of the real cool and crazy stuff) If you don't, I won't blame you, after all, you did get it a try and it current turn out as you expected did it?

Kagi waited silently for his part of the plan to come, fighting the beasts all the while. Edgar had just run into the fray, bringing the creatures all in one area, reasy to be frozen, "Unless you want to be frozen to the ground, I suggest you get outta there!" Kagi called to Edgar. Kagi began focusing on the cold feeling in his body, since this is what he did last time to make his powers work, this time channeling it through his halberd. With two hands, he gave a mighty swing of his weapon, sending an icy white wave rolling over the ground, whatever creatures weren't completely frozen over had their legs amd torso frozen to the ground

I'd also like to mention how this game never ceases to just straight up make me laugh at how the world works, those of you with replies above this one may know, but , and it may not be that much of a surprise, the laws of physics mean nothing in the world of Monster Hunter, hell they aren't just ignored, they're killed and then skinned and carved for parts. The two things that prove my point the most are the Agnaktor and Diablos. Now, I'm a reasonable guy, I can accept that something can inhabit a volcano and lava. But I think lava should still act like lava, right? This why the Agnaktor makes me scrath my head, cuz it uses lava to make molten armor. So I want to know what the hell the Agnaktor is made out of? If its covered in lava and said lava can cause burns to my hunter then why is it not burning through the hide of the Agnaktor to its flesh then its bone? I still love this Monster's design, but I feel like this is the case with its method of protection The Agnaktor complaint may not have much merit, but you'll love what I have to say about the Diablos. Like I said, I'm a reasonable guy, but why in the hell does the Diablos have wings?!?! You uave to understand, I'm a guy that enjoyed science class as a kid, especially about the various species in the animal kingdom, also, most of the Monsters have features that make sense, the Barioth: spiked forearms for improved grip on the ice; the Lagiacrus: special back organs made to conduct electricity; the Gigginox (btw firetruck this thing, i hate fighting this thing): its blind, so its naturally attracted to heat, like a torch, even though its useless in MH3U. So why does the Diablos have wings if its a digging animal??????? It confounds me to know end and is something that I've always found bothersome, oh and I hate fighting this thing too

With Monster Hunter 4 announced to be released in early 2015, I thought I'd make this to gather my fellow hunters here on the site, so if you're excited about MH4, or just a huge fan of Monster Hunter, you're in the right place. While you're here, feel free to share anything you want concerning Monster Hunter, like.... -Favorite Monster -Monster you hate or fear the idea of hunting -Armors and Weapons -Any craziness that nakedness to you or your friends during a hunt -Or anything in general that makes you love the game ------ To start off, I'll share some of my experiences in this great game. -I think the armor sets are cool and all, but I'm a guy that needs to customize, so my main Armor set is made up of G-Rank Barioth chest and leg armor, the helmet, arms and waist are G-Rank Brachydios armor, the resistances may not be the most impressive thingn you've ever seen, but guess what, I dont give a jaggi's tail, I think I look pretty sweet -My pride and joy is my Dios Switch Axe, the Slime weapons might be a little OP, though I've never seen why, but this damn thing is the finest piece of weaponry I've never laid eyes one. The only thing thats stopping me from fully upgrading it are those Pallium stingy Brachys -My favorite Monsters to quest for are Brachy, Ivroy Lagiacrus, and the Monarch himself, the Zinogre. Its hard to pick which of the 3 is my favorite monster, but you can't deny that these things are epic, both to look at and to fight -While not my least favorite monster to hunt, you wanna know what bugs me the most about the Rathian? This Flying Wyvern has deadly fire breath, razor sharp talons, and a poisonous barbed tail, what do you think you should be watching it fir the most? Fire? Poison? Its knee?....its knee?? You heard me right, I hope I'm not the only person with this problem with her, but it seems to me that Rathian here has a fondness for putting your face to her knee, then as your getting up after being unlucky enough to get hit once, she's moved over and is ready to run you over again, which makes you dazed, leaving you open to get hit with just about any attack, but most likely getting charged at again. She never gives me too much troblue when on a hunt, but its when I get caught in this stupid loop of her's that sours the mood of the hunt What about you guys? I hope you'll share some interesting stories

Kagi made beast after beast drop to the ground, but was quickly growing irritated, as the beasts he just brought down were almost immediately replaced by more from the trees, "This is going nowhere," Kagi's hand was getting colder, he was still getting used to his new powers, and had no idea what he would do if he tried to use them, but he was running out of options. Kagi gave a swift swung of his arm, not sure what would happen, focusing on the cold as he did. With a chilling gust, a storm of ice shard was sent flying at the monsters, impaling most of the monsters, grazing and injuring this that weren't. Kagi stared at his hand, fascinated by his abilities, "I wonder what else I can pull off....." Kagi wondered out loud

"At least I know why I was so cold before" Kagi said as he ripped out his arm lodged in the frozen sheild he apparently created, (I wonder.....) An idea formed in his mind, and thrust his hands against the icy wall, sending it carrening forward, effortlessly tossing the beasts aside While he was wrapped up in his new powers, Kagi didn't notice one leap at him from behind, Kagi didn't have time to react and swung his arm at the monster, and moments before he made contact, Kagi's fist flash froze and became an icy knuckle, cracking the things skull as he smashed it into the dude of its face

The wave of monsters seemed to never end, or maybe it was just Kagi feeling exhausted in his cold. Just more monsters kept showing up, so did more people, someone new was helping the car eared girl, he was fighting off monsters with sword in hand. Kagi wanted to turn around and help the others get past the gate, but he heard something from the trees, but not from the ground. 4 of the creatures pounced from the tree tops, "These things climb now too?!" With a fluid spinning motion, Kagi brought down two of the falling beasts using both ends of his haberd, but one them came down too fast and was immediately upon Kagi, who brought his arms up in reflex. Kagi was expecting to feel razor sharp Ciudad treating through his coat and ripping up his arms, but he never felt anything of the sort. He only felt that his arms were heavy, heavy and cold. Kagi opened his eye, having closed them in anticipation, and saw his arms were encased in a thick shell of ice. Kagi shoved the beast away and examined his arms, (whatever is causing this, but it certainty helps, now I don't need to worry about anything sharp from this things)

Kagi fell to the ground from the impact of the blow, he rolled over onto his back and reach for uis side, existing it to be a bloody mess, but to his surprise, he was fine, in fact, his sode felt solid, and stiff, (what the?...) Kagi moved to his coat to examine himself and saw that the side of his torso was encased in ice. The must of acted like armor, and shielded him from the creature's tail. Kagi didn't understand how this had happened, and was trying to figure it out when he heard gunshots, then, the gate began to open, and Jaxx shot past him. Kagi followed, thinking people needed help. Jaxx was already fighting off some of the beasts when Kagi arrived, and he noticed ankid on the ground, apparently wounded, (damnit, those things got one) Kagi was admittedly worried about the wounded person, but turned aroundnwhenhe heard more gunshots. The cat things were being shot down by...another cat? The girl with cat ears was pumping lead into everyone of the things that came her way, and she seemed to be enjoying herself. After a while, she began dragging the injured kid to the gate, and didn't notice that one of the creatures making a mad dash towards her. Kagi rushed forward and screwered the minster on his halbered, stoppin, the beast inches before it could lay its claws on the girl

Kagi began to tire, he was shaking so much that he could hardly hold his halberd. He stopped to risk catching his breath, leaning agaisnt a tree, when he heard a growl not too far behind. Kagi thought he had to stand and fight, but suddenly, an arrow brought down one of the beasts, then another. He heard a voice, presumably the archer that had just saved him, telling him to get to the gate. Kagi once again ran for the gate, and allthough he didn't notice, there was a light layer of frost on the tree where his hand was resting. Kagi finally got the gate's entrance, but cursed as he saw it was closed and secured. Another growl behind him, Kagi spun around, tired of running, angrily gripping his halberd as he set eyes upon the fiercest looking one of the creatures he had seen. Aside from being larger and leaner looking, this one seemed to sport a sort of claw on its tail, a deadly looking spike that could easily pierce flesh and bone. Kagi locked eyes with the beast, as if they were agreeing to the terms of the duel, Kagi ran towards the beast, bringing the point on the halberd down into the monsters head, but not before the stinger like tail grazed Kagi's side

Kagi could hear movement in the surrounding trees, did that first one attract more? Kagi wasn't going to stick around and find out, and made s break for it, ditching the wood he had just collected, he was pretty much just ignoring the cold now anyway. As he ran, Kagi seemed movement behind him and spun, avoiding a pair of sharp claws by inches. He brought up his halberd a thrusted, feeling it impale the creatures upper arm. Ugly didn't begin to describe what the creature looked like, if it had to resemble something, it was like a large cat with an almost reptilian head, patches of scraggly, wiry fur were here and there, making it look like something had coughed out, its skin was a pale, dying gray, and its skin was baggy and sagging slightly, looking as if it were melting, (aren't you just the cutest thing, I can't wait for the nightmares) Kagi jested in his mind. The halberd was what was keeping the distance between Kagi and this monster, he'd have to react fast once he pulled his weapon back. Kagi pulled his halberd out, and almost immediately the monster pounced. With a quick, upward slash, the beast fell to the ground with a pathetic whine, but Kagi wasn't safe yet, another growl could be heard behind him, Kagi felt as if he could handle himself, but he began shaking, he was cold, "damnit..." his grip on his halberd was weakening, and he thought he heard a lot more just another one or two. Kagi ran towards the gate, the wall wouls be his best bet at safety

While his shaking wasn't a problem anymore, Kagi was still freezing, maybe it was time for a new coat? "I still need to get some fire wood for later, so don't worry too much about me," Kagi said as he began passing the gate, "try not to shock anyone else will ya?" And with that, he last Jaxx in town and made his way into the forest A good half hour of cutting down and gathering branches, Kagi had lit a small fire in a small clearing, warming his hands by the flickering flames. He wasn't shivering, but somehow still felt cold. (Guess I'll head back now,) Kagi gathered enough woodnfor the next month or so, and the fire he made here want helping much, getting closer to it would mean putting his hands in the fire, and merging it larger meant running the running the risk of causing a forest fire or worse, attracting the attention of some kind of monster. Kagi gave a deep sigh as he stood up, and as he did, he notice that his breathe, visible as a thin mist, seemed to gleam and sparkle, almost like crystals. Kagi raised an eyebrow at the odd happening, but decided not to question it. After putting out the small fire, Kagi began his walk back to town, when he heard something, like a growl and a screech in one, "please don't be..." something pale and gray crashed through dead branches at Kagi, who had side stepped and readied his halberd,"damnit, just my luck,". Kagi tossed aside the large bundle of wood and waited for the thing to show itself again, which apparently didn't want to be seen, but heard, and let out a savage cry that could be heard for miles (I dont know how the monsters are supposed to be like or if im rushing their entrance, so sorry if im getting ahead of myself)

"Why do you think I need fire wood?" Kagi called back. Kagi didn't know what was going on with him, but he knew that he needed to do something before he freezes to death, "I can find out what's wrong with me after I make a fire eat something that doesn't turn cold after I finish cooking it," Kagi stared at his hand, shaking with cold, (I don't mind being cold, I'd just like to stop shaking like a leaf) he thought feeling rather annoyed, he clenched his hand into a fist and felt his shivering lessen slightly, "huh..."

"Yaahh!!" Kagi jumped back at the shock, "Crimeny, what did you just do?" It was a small shock, but unexpected none the less. "Look, I gotta g-get some f-f-fire w-wood, see ya r-round," Kagi arrived at the gate and stared up at the tower as he walked to the wall's gate, maybe Kagi would just start a small camp fire out in the forest before heading back to the town, the sooner he could heat himself up the better.

"Can't say that I d-did" Kagi replied as he continued walking and continued shivering. (I need to get that fire wood soon), Kagi thought to himself, "You feeling really c-cold t-t-too? Or is just me?" He asked Jaxx through chattering teeth, (This cold is starting to get ridiculous), Kagi thought

Kagi checked the sharpness of his halberd's blade as he walked through the town, the monsters that inhabited the wilderness outside the Rainfall's walls were not to be taken lightly, stopping at a small supply store for a hatcet for the wood and a whetstone for his blade, wanting to be prepared for the worst out there. He headed towards one of the gates near one of the town's 2 watch towers. Kagi usually didn't have any trouble leaving the town for wood or anything else, even though going beyond the walls was frowned upon, but he would still occasionally meet with a little resistance trying to leave. Hopefully no one would take note of his little trip into the woods. Even with his coat, he felt the worst of the cold, Kagi didn't understand, autumn would be just beginning, so why was so cold already? His shivering was visible to anyone that saw him. On the other hand, Kagi noticed he was the only one whose breathe was visible in the early autumn chill

It was a quiet morning in the little shack Kagi called home, he was trying to eat what he scrapped together for breakfast, when a sudden chill swept over him, and oddly, his used-to-be hot food. "The hell? I just finished cooking this, how'd it get cold?" Kagi begrudgingly ate what was left as he put on his coat, the chill starting to really get to him, "If it's gonna get this cold, I guess I should get some more fire wood," Kagi grabbed his halberd, a weapon that he had put his trust in for the last 2 years, and headed out the door, planning on gathering wood from the small forested area near-by. Before he even left the threshold, Kagi could see his breath in the cold (I kinda have no idea where I'm trying to go with this right now)

He has a worn black coat with fur trim on the collar and sleeves, beige pants and black shoes Side: Heroes Powers: Ice powers Weapon: Halberd(this wasnt listed, so im wondering if this would be okay to have as a weapon) Personality: Kagi is rather hard headed, and more than a bit blunt, saying what he think is the truth of the matter, regardless of who he might offend or upset. He hates lies, and believes, no matter how harsh, the truth should always be known. Bio:Kagi lost both his parents and his best friend in the catastrophe. Seperated from his parents during the crisis, he and his friend tried to get to safety, which came in the form of a dilapidated building. The weathered old building couldn't withstand it weight anymore, and collapsed, only reason Kagi survived was because of his companion, who shielded him from falling debris. Kagi dug his friend out of the wreckage, who spoke his last, dying words, "Everything is gonna be fine". Kagi still remembers those last words, and cannot stand that memory. He went through his life thinking, why would he say that? Things weren't fine, things were anything but fine. He hates lies and liars, and will always say what he beilieves is true Earth

I think it interesting that, if you look back on your past, you might remember yourself being a totally different person than you are now. People change over time of course, but it's when you look back and can hardly believe you could ever act that way, that's my situation anyway. I find it a bit sad to say that looking back on my past, I used to be a very cold and callous person. I'm fairly introverted, and very seldom do I genuinely open up to other people, leaving me with a rather small circle of friends, but back then I simply refused to come into contact with other people, under the assumption that, nobody really gave a damn about me. I'm ashamed of the way I acted towards those who saw me and tried to see if I was okay or even to just try and be friendly, cold-heartedly saying things like, "you're not fooling anyone, pretending to care" or "cut the act, it's not funny and certainly not a good lie". It makes me so embarrassed to remember myself as such a complete and total jerk. This wasn't even I was just a kid and didn't know any better, this was a few years ago, and I really hate a part of myself for being that way. I've never really talked about this before, I guess it's just a little party of me that has yet to change, and I don't know who's gonna take the time to read this, but I just thought, maybe getting it off my chest would help in changing that part of me that still feels like no one cares, I've gotten more faith in human kindness, I know that people can genuinely be kind and friendly, but I'm still as shy and introverted as I've always remembered myself. I really wish I could apologize to those I've treated so harshly, and just saying a universal " i'm sorry " here will not cut it, but sadly I have no idea where these people have gone after the couple of years

My least favorite pokemon has to be chikorita. The useless weed can go in a hole die, the only thing I can say about it is that Bayleef doesnt look half bad, but then it turns into meganium

hearing what those people, I use the term loosely, had to say was sickening

Mega-Bisharp sounds awesome, possibly looking like some kinda regal king with a sword and shield Mega-Kingler where he's got 2 giant claws now Mega-Drifloon, a giant ghostly air ship, I dont know about you, but that sounds like a good time to me _ As for some more ridiculous sounding ones, Mega-Smeargle, Mega-Ditto, Mega-Lumineon, & Mega-Wailord to name a few
