may as well call it TimeGhost Supersoldier
-
he sharknado'd the plot and now it's a giant meme
-
nomura
-
and yeah so far the game feels balanced around playing 1 character well and occasionally popping in to do something with the other two while you are in a long animatoin and of course using their ATB the limit that gives you an extra atb charge makes it even crazier
-
playing 3 characters well all at the same time is incredibly difficult
-
the combat is very good i would love a multiplayer dlc with an infinite dungeon
-
there are just such a huge amount of little time wasters thrown in every two seconds duck under this, forced walking in an area that has no dialogue for a bit, slide through this crack at 5% speed there was a time when aerith ran way ahead of me and i was stlil forced to walk even though there was no dialogue and i wasnt ahead of the npc its just so weird how often they feel the need to mess with your movement
-
i mean gameplay not story
-
yeah i thought that was pretty cool i got to the third crane "puzzle" though and decided to put it down for tonight i really really love the combat but the pacing of this game is whack
-
so im at the part where aerith takes you into sector 6 tunnel and im taking a bit of a break
-
D I L L Y D A L L Y S H I L L Y S H A L L Y
-
if marlene dies i want compensatory damages
-
i would hope t here are at least some post game summon VR fights
-
are there any really interesting dungeons later on
-
like an hour into the game you're like "alright let's make bets"
-
i havent even got to the part where jessie dies yet but even i know she dies because its just so obvious
-
like imagine if dark souls was the same as it was, but every stat except strength had only 5% of the effect it does now there would still be fans who love it just as much as they do now, but there would be far far less of them
-
yeah it would be taken really poorly primarily because of that stat scaling issue preventing build diversity if you know going in that you can only pick strength (unless you really know EXACTLY what you're doing with magic), it's a really great experience but there are all these things where the game just tries to stop you from having that good experience
-
yeah its much better it updates skill descriptoins as well with their actual Power, Accuracy and Crit rates instead of shit like "medium phys random enemies, low odds high crit"
-
regular game you are going in blind and just feel out skills based on themes like if you have the Wind element magatama equipped you know you (might) learn some type of wind related skill, but no idea what it will be or what level it unlocks at and you have to give up skills permanently once your low number of slots are full in SMT4 they let you transfer skills from demons back to MC so that you never lose things permanently, but in 3 when you get rid of something it's gone forever
-
and did things like let you see what skills you are going to learn on main character
-
yeah someone rebalanced all the stat scaling formulas and the skills
-
if you don't do that, you will get stuck and give up or attepmt to grind it out and realize you can't also hard mode is absolutely nuts doing hard mode without knowing how to do abusive things is a nightmare to the extent that the Hardtype hack is actually easier, because it rebalances the game to allow you to actually have different build options so you dont have to just deal with the fact that only strength builds work, meaning only strength skills are viable
-
the praise the game gets is because everyone goes through the initial rough hump of either being told or forced to make a strength build
-
so you need to grind and switch to a strength build
