my 1080 founders is stable at 2050 Mhz. BUT its not stock im using the EVGA hybrid kit on it so temps arent an issue at all. Im sure EVGA will release a kit for the new Titan X too. Im just curious to see how many people will buy it since 1200 dollars is very steep compared to 700 for the 1080

overpriced IMO. clearly the monopoly is getting to nvidia since AMD doesn't have anything to compete. Only 2.1 TFLOPS more than a 1080. Im sure SLI 1080s could match a single Pascal Titan X

so nvidia just announced the new titan x. 30-40% faster than gtx 1080. 1200 dollars. for game development/rendering i'd go with that instead of 1080 which is just a gaming card. Titan X also releases august 2.

hyperthreading gives you another 4 cores which is great for game development/video editing. The 6700K comes with a stock clock of 4.0 Ghz and can boost to 4.2. It is also a good overclocker (mines at 4.4Ghz 1.33v). I run an H80iV2 liquid cooler and a full size tower so temps for me arent an issue. Your case is a u-Atx so temps might be a problem with an air cooler for the cpu. I would just get a 6700k and leave it at stock

for game development i'd go with the i7 6700k since the extra cores would benefit you alot. for ram i'd go with 16gb of high frequency ddr4 such as 2800mhz or higher if you can afford it
