  1. try this link. i haven't gotten the bangle yet myself so i can't confirm, but it looks like increases are random occurrences when you synthesize a medal? i dunno if it's just that my brain's totally fried today, but the announcement is really vague when it comes to the mechanics of it. i think 'orbing' a medal refers to maxing out a medal's ability.
  2. Yep, it's clear with 5 6-stars in your deck. And I don't know, especially with the new strength bangle, getting an ability upgrade medal is still pretty damn good (especially for rarer medals).
  3. it was a stat that you could view in the advanced profile statistics; i've never seen anyone who had a number more than zero for it though lol. my amateur guess is they probably intended for there to be a damage cap (like, 9999 or something similar as it is in other SE games maybe) but as medals and enemies started getting stronger they went 'nah nevermind' lmao EDIT: slightly related to this update; is anyone else crying over the third challenge of the fourth event quest?? clear the quest with FIVE 6-star medals???? rip in pieces.........
  4. yikes!! that sounds insane. have people been burning out because of it, or?
  5. my other mobile games are all rhythm games which are even lazier so i guess i just have a different frame of reference i guess it also becomes an issue of average user engagement - how much of the player base would be willing to invest time & effort into a more complex event for a 'casual' mobile game? but yeah, i agree! i think we'll see something on monday; iirc the past events have all started on mondays too. i'm kind of glad for this week off though, the endless cycle of events with no break has been a little exhausting.
  6. i think part of it is that they're limited by the mobile format and the gameplay - by simplifying things for mobile (which was necessary tbf) they've given up some opportunities for more complex event structures and rewards. (also this might just be my wrong impression, but it looks like chi is tilted more towards paying players - meanwhile you can be f2p with no problems in unchained imo.) between the event boards they've been releasing and event-limited medals i'm honestly okay with events being the way they are, but i go kind of hard on them already
  7. hmm okay! dr. jumba jookiba: p protect up; increases defense against power attacks jack skellington: seventh blade; deals elementless damage megara: protect down; decreases defense of one enemy for one turn KH1 riku: blizzard raid; deals low damage to all enemies over two attacks KH1 cloud: last arcanum; deals more damage the higher your HP is. deals damage to one enemy over nine attacks. again, i'd recommend condensing some of your medals - it looks like you're almost out of space, and you can easily free up a couple slots by synthesizing your two dumbos together and your two mickeys to upgrade their abilities. as for decks...are you still having problems surviving? i'd recommend bringing along defensive medals like daisy or minnie or even bambi if you need to if that's the case. for the rest of your slots, i like having a mix between multi-target and single-target attack medals for most purposes (unless i know there's a particularly hard enemy). i personally have buffing medals like Aerith (blue & green) and Diz in my decks, but I'm at a level where their strength boosts really make a difference - they may not be as useful to you early in the game, especially if you only have attack up double medals. you've got a pretty decent selection to choose from here now - nice draw luck!
  8. Sorry, which ones are the new ones?
  9. Oh, they just revealed Sephiroth as one of the new reverse medals on twitter. New boxes going up 10AM on the 27th!
  10. As much as I wish they'd add Roxas again, they made such a fuss about him being limited that I highly doubt they'll bring him back this early. Maybe for another limited time period, but putting him in the raise draw pool permanently is a slap in the face for those that did spend to obtain him. I agree. Except for the first week due to a bug, only Monday-Wednesday dailies were ever meant to be half AP, which makes absolutely no sense and it's incredibly frustrating - I wish they'd at least shift it to Tuesday-Thursday instead to cover all three elements, I don't mind mithril being full AP in speed's stead.
  11. I'm luckily at a point where in theory I have the deck cost to support four 6-stars now, they'd just all have to have ten Cid medals on them (lol). I wish the Riku and Sora costumes weren't the priciest of the jewel boards but I guess that's the way you make money with this game lmfao the evil queen's the only one that's been shown so far but I'm definitely hoping they'll release more in the first wave. I think either way we won't get more info until December, though.
  12. you get an orichalcum every 25 story quests, so we might just have to suck it up and wait to get them through those... I think they'll probably go that route, with maybe another one or two added in quests like the proud quests. ahhHH i completely forgot about saving jewels for the reverse medals! i hope they're releasing more than just the evil queen in the first wave. i've been so focussed on the new jewel boards (i'm a sucker for costumes, what can I say) but they're really good about giving us opportunities to get jewels so I'm glad about that.
  13. /raises hand EDIT: going off the announcement that was just posted, these 25 new quests will finish up the Coliseum storyline. Looks like we'll be meeting Cloud! Additionally, the max level of Olympia's going to be raised. (To what, though, that's the question...)
  14. Hmm okay! The other medals in your second list are mostly just used for synthesis or evolution - i have an explanation of how to tell the different over here if that's useful to you. and even 3-4 stars can be useful! the great thing about this game is that you can evolve a medal through the rarities, rather than relying on RNG to give you something strong right from the start. (if you're like me and you have terrible luck this is a nice change of pace l o l) what might help when setting up your decks is to sort by element, which you can do by pressing the orange ならべかえ button (make sure you're on the left tab, which is sort, not the right one which is filter), and then pressing 属性. anyway...your first set says you've got four keyblades unlocked; i'm assuming you've got starlight and all three elementals, yes? i don't know what level they're at - how many slots do you have on each?
  15. Hopefully I can help! I can at least explain your medals' skills. Goofy knight ver: thunder raid; deals medium damage to all enemies over 2 attacks Bambi: M protect up; increases defense against magic (blue) attacks Hayner: attack up double; increases attack of the next medal Mulan: ice dash; deals low damage to all enemies over 3 attacks Sora KH ver B: spark dash; deals medium damage to all enemies over 4 attacks Sora limit form ver: spark rave; deals medium damage to one enemy over 6 attacks Yuna: firaga; deals large damage to all enemies over 2 attacks Leon KHII ver A: blizzaga; deals low damage to all enemies over 3 attacks Dumbo: S protect up; increases defense against speed (green) attacks Mickey KH2 ver: blaze sword; deals large damage against all enemies in 1 attack Louie: provides large amount of exp in synthesis Fantasia Mickey: used for medal evolution (5>6) Fauna: used for speed medal evolution (5>6) Genie: icicle spear; deals damage to all enemies, attack increased if the opponent is paralyzed CoM Riku: cyclone sword; deals increased damage to all enemies but decreases your own defense final form sora: flare; deals damage to all enemies in exchange for your own HP Cinderella: S protect down; decreases speed defense of one enemy for one turn TR mickey: classic bomb; deals constant damage to all enemies regardless of defense over two attacks Bambi again: same thing, just weaker buff hercules: flame break; deals large damage to one enemy over seven attacks mulan again: same thing, just weaker Yen Sid: used for medal evolution (4>5) red doritos sora: strike raid; deals damage to all enemies, attack increased if the opponent is poisoned master form sora: sonic break deals damage to all enemies over 7 attacks; attack increased if you continue to use this ability daisy: cura; restores a medium amount of HP peter pan: sonic rave; deals damage to one enemy, attack increased if enemy is asleep KH1 riku: blizzard rave; deals low damage to all enemies over two attacks Goofy B: freeze break; deals low damage to one enemy over six attacks Dewey: provides EXP in synthesis Tifa: sonic rave; deals damage to one enemy, attack increased if enemy is asleep Minnie: curaga; restores a large amount of HP Wakka: blizzard raid; deals a low amount of damage to all enemies weenie hercules: rash raid; deals the more damage the more turns have passed over three attacks to all enemies Olette: blizzaga; deals low damage to all enemies over two attacks first of all: I'd focus on setting up the elemental keyblades - treasure trove, lady luck and three wishes - as those will be the best suited for most main story missions. by the time you hit main quest 300 you'll have enough orichalcum to fully upgrade all five keyblades, but i left treasure trove for last and it was a Mistake. if you're struggling, try adjusting your decks to the quest at hand: like, if the boss is like a shadow or a yellow opera or something, you can usually tell that there'll be a lot of enemy parties that have a lot of low HP enemies and you should bring a weenie-busting team that can deal damage to all of them. on the other hand, if it's something fat bandit or an invisible or something, you'll want to bring a deck that can deal a lot of damage to an individual target to take care of them. bambi is useless, don't bother with him. i also don't really bother with medals that deal status-based damage because i don't want to rely on skill activation rates. the medal ranking here might be of use - it's in japanese but google translate does a good enough job of translating the names (lol) and you can use that to decide which medals to focus on more. (this is unfortunately not a game where love can trump stats. :c) um...other than that, i'd say maybe focus on consolidating some medals for the ability boosts and the space - you can synthesize your two 5-star Dumbos together to upgrade the ability, for instance, and if you upgrade your 4-star Bambi to 5-stars you can synth that with your original 5-star bambi and free up a slot. i totally had something else to say but i forgot it lmfao. oh, and one last thing - this won't be a problem for you until you start upgrading things to 6-stars, but the rarity and number of medals you can support is limited by your deck cost (デッキコスト). you can increase this in the avatar boards, or circumvent it by using cid medals on your 6-star medals. i hope that helps a bit! depending on what kind of playstyle you have, maybe I could help you design a deck as well. is this your full medal list?
  16. out of curiosity...just exactly how much work do people think needs to go into a localisation? KHUx isn't nearly on the same scale, but this article might give some insight into the process (and the problems). also it's...it's not like it's the localisation team working on jpn gameplay updates............
  17. the new announcement looks really cool, i'm super excited! (sorry for copy & pasting from my blog as always...) First off is some information about a new item, “Strength Bangle”. From the preview pictures, it looks like this introduces a new gameplay mechanism (guilt) but whether or not this is similar to the browser version is still unclear (also i don’t play browser so i have no idea how it works sorry): it’ll be introduced in early december it should be obtainable from the main quests you’ll be unable to unlock a special power with 6-star medals if you have this! it also looks like if you max upgrade 6-star abilities you’ll get a larger boost. They’re also properly introducing reverse medals - we’ve seen them before (although they weren’t explicitly labelled as such) in the SP Roxas that was released earlier: reverse medals will be characters who are ‘villains’ or 'darkness’ in some way these are in opposition to the silver/gold upright medals, aka literally every other single medal out there right now l o l apparently using both upright and reverse medals will unlock the keyblade’s ‘true ability’ From 11/19 20.00 JST onwards you’ll be able to use 5 6-star medals at once! Before the limit was 4 6-stars, and that was only if you’d unlocked every single possible avatar board and deck cost slot (aka level 220) AND had ten Cid medals on each 6-star. yes i did the math. you’ll have to use jewels to unlock a special avatar board it looks like you’ll also have use jewels to unlock slots on this board (again, you can get jewels through the daily login cycle and the daily jewel challenges!) they also plan on making Cid medals easier to obtain from events and campaigns The next part of the main story will be added in late November. this will include the final chapter of olympus coliseum and also some quests regarding the mysterious stranger in daybreak down! Lastly, in addition to the previous offer where you could buy 1400 jewels each week and unlock all possible dailies for the week, they’ve added another special 3000 jewel offer! buying 3000 jewels will unlock all dailies for the week it will also unlock a special quest where you can apparently obtain 1 Cid medal each day (if you already took advantage of the 1400 jewel offer this week these quests have opened for you as well)
  18. i'm a total completionist and i can't stand the gaps in my album
  19. hang on to them lmao - you're gonna need 8 3-stars just to get one 6-star medal, let alone one with any ability upgrades ;; i'm curious about the ability stacking too tho, i'll keep an eye out on the japanese message boards. yep, crystal raine's right - power-speed-magic! i should've clarified, sorry!!
  20. ahh i see! sorry my bad!! seven dwarves medal's ability is PSM attack up double - basically the same as any attack up double medal except it'll apply to any element, not just the same. snow white's is cura EX; it apparently will restore HP and heal any status ailments. i could see snow white's ability coming in handy with the witch bomber in quest 300/event quest 4, especially for those who haven't been able to get healer medals from jewel draws. too bad the evolution requirements for these event medals are i n s a n e......
  21. MVP's been around since the beginning, they just made it a lot more obvious now. Generally the MVP and discoverer (発見者 if i remember correctly), if they're different people, will get the same 'nicer' rewards along with the general rewards that everyone else participated get.
  22. That's great to hear! I'm glad things worked out in the end
