square enix put up another announcement today reminding people that the game will be undergoing maintenance on 10/08 from 10AM to 4PM JST. it looks like you'll have to update the application itself after this maintenance is over, and they urged everyone to back up their accounts just in case an error occurs. you can back up your account through square enix's cloud service, square enix bridge. my apologies for constantly linking my own blog, but i have a brief tutorial on how to do so over here!

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are all 'element' days - you can farm ducklings to synthesize medals and the element-specific medals (4- and 5- star fairy godmothers) to evolve them. You can get magic medals on Tuesday, power medals on Wednesday and Speed medals on Thursday. You can access the dailies by pressing the round orange イヴェント button on the top right of the quest page.

You can get Yen Sid medals in the Friday dailies. (:

if you were to synth a 6-star ••• with a plain 6-star (no upgrades), it would be ••••, right? so ••• + • would give you •••••.

oh - you're right! that's a better route. i recalculated and it looks like that'd cost...391k instead of 406 (lol). thanks!

Yeah, I made a flow chart and i think? it should be the most efficient route (sorry for the bad photo!). In comparison, if you went the most inefficient route and evolved 6 1-stars to 6-stars before synthesizing them all together, it would cost 866k (!!!).

hmm...starting with 3-stars doesn't seem to knock much off the cost; it looks like it'll be 340k minimum then. still, multiplied by three and then adding in the medals you'll need to max level and upgrade... @___@

I did the calculations out of boredom and hypothetically, it looks like if you start with all 1 stars, the cheapest you can get a fully maxed 6-star for is 406k (plus whatever it takes to max level them in between evolution costs)... good luck!

I'd appreciate that! I'm super close to being able to do that, but my speed set-up's more focussed on taking out multiple enemies so I don't have quite enough power.

According to this, running the second quest three times should drop a 2-star riku! there's hope for us weaklings and according to this, the 12 new raise draw medals are: Minnie, KH2 Cloud, Simba, Peter Pan, red doritos valor form Sora, Pluto, master form Sora, Daisy, KH2 Yuffie, Genie, Tifa (!!) and another KH2 Leon.

Meow Wow, Sora KH3D Ver and Riku KH3D Ver.

the meow wow medal has aeroga attached; it'll take 4 bars of your ability gauge and will do 1.83x damage to all enemies. as to how to obtain the Sora and Riku medals - i wrote up a quick guide to the event here, but basically you can gain sora by clearing the third challenge of the second quest (activate the skill paralyze) and riku by clearing the third challenge of the third quest (defeat the dark plant in one turn), but they should also drop randomly from the quest itself.

hmm okay! guess this means i finally have to use those new scrooge medals from the coliseum though...i'm so indecisive as to who to attach those skills to. and whoa, that's a lot! we'll see how good this stat bonus they get is, i guess. EDIT: Emuemuman, did you manage to get the Riku medal from the third quest challenge? I'm level 134 but there's no way i can defeat that dark plant in one turn guess i'll have to rely on drop luck for him lmao

hmm, apparently it looks like they'll have abilities that'll be useful against 'abnormal' enemies (whatever that means lol...raid bosses maybe?). i was saving to do a 10-pull but if the drop rates are that bad i'm hesitant... also there's an event going on where you can obtain KH3D versions of Sora and Riku and Meow Wow! Looks like there'll be a bonus for raising them to 6-star rarity as well. EDIT: hasty translation, my bad - it looks like if you raise the medal to 6-stars and strengthen its ability to the fifth stage? the ability will get a power bonus.

You'll get the fairy godmothers on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday JST and you can get the other evolution medals you need on Friday.

when you start up the game after redownloading it, there'll be a screen that looks like this (untranslated buttons though). press the left one and log into the account you used to register with Square Enix Bridge and it should restore your account.

When you go to the quest screen, there's a round orange button in the top right labelled イベント. Since there aren't any dailies on weekends, if you press it now you'll only see the proud quests, but on mondays through fridays you'll find the dailies there!

The game has now reached 1.5 million downloads! As a result, all players who log in at least once before 3.59AM (JST) on the 28th will now receive 1500 jewels instead of 1000.

you can use the cheshire cat medals to upgrade a medal from 1 to 2 stars; scrooge medals attach a skill to a medal and chip and dale medals will raise the attack and defense of a medal. <:

17's third objective is to clear the quest using only power medals in your deck. <: those are titles! if you go to your profile and press the left-most red button at the bottom (称号) you can combine two of them for a custom title for your profile. they've got things like character names and adjectives and other descriptors, it's pretty fun.
