The Issues I have with DDD (Looong post)
Seems like many people agree, which is cool. I've seen comments everywhere saying how DDD was the best KH game ever, and I honestly just couldn't come to understand their reasonings.

The Issues I have with DDD (Looong post)
Let me preface this before someone tries to attack me: if you don't like long rants, then you might not want to read this. This will be quite long. Also I'm gonna be directing some hate, but all of it will be supported with reasons. Once again, if you love Dream Drop Distance and will probably kill someone over hating the game, probably not your cup of tea. Aside from that though, I'd love to see if anyone agrees or disagrees with me. I'll try and keep this pleasant and not too "anger-filled" ALso in case it wasn't obvious, yes there are spoilers for DDD. Now onto the thing that I want to address: Dream Drop Distance. Another Kingdom Hearts game that isn't KH3, but hey it's something, and it can't be worse than Re:Coded....right? Wrong. In case you haven't figured it out yet, DDD is by far my least favorite KH game. From my point of view, there are little to none going for it. Its story is crap, its combat is crap, and overall game was crap. Yes, I know I am going a bit overboard. I don't hate this game by itself, but I do hate it for being part of such an amazing series. Let's go on to story first shall we? Most would agree that DDD is the most confusing KH game by far in terms of story. What bothers me most is the single element they added into it; the thing that makes everything unnecessarily complicated, creates a ton of plotholes, and is just confusing and unpleasant in general. Most of you probably know what I'm talking about. Time travel. Really Square? Unnecessary complexity if you ask me, and definitely going to confuse first time players, even if they have a solid understanding of the KH story before this. First of all, let's address this ridiculous idea. Never before EVER mentioned in any other KH game, apparently you can time travel now. Square attempted to cover up plotholes by implementing these ridiculous rules of time travel (once again, never even hinted at before this game) of how you need to have a version of yourself at your destination, and how you can only go one direction in time, and how you can't keep your memories after returning to your original time...blahblahblah. All it is to me is a load of makeup BS that Square threw in randomly to prevent plotholes. Unfortunately, like all time travel stories, plotholes are aplenty. Not gonna go into details as that would take literally forever, but if you dont believe me, look some up. There are too many plotholes in DDD to claim otherwise. In addition to the time travel idea, they have this annoying thing of how suddenly, everyone is a keyblade wielder now. The idea of a legendary thing, a chosen one...and now everyone is suddenly the "chosen one". This is like Dragon Ball Z all over again. Remember when Goku first turned into the legendary "Super Saiyan" that was only said to be in myths? And then suddenly, within 10 or so years, 7 year old kids can turn into Super Saiyans by having a small sparring match with their mothers. It degrades this "legendary" status, and makes it seem like its worth nothing. To be fair though, BBS kind of did this too which bothered me, but it was really in DDD when Lea somehow manages to magically summon a Keyblade when I just stood up, and said "F*** this I'm done". Don't get me wrong; I like Axel/Lea as a character. In fact, he's debatably my favorite character in the series. But now, you're telling me that this legendary weapon that chooses its owner, this amazing thing that we got in the original KH1 that was supposed to make Sora, the protagonist, special, is nothing but a plaything that anyone can get? There NO reason Lea should be able to wield a keyblade. I don't care what BS explanation Square pulls on this one, like "oh he has a strong heart" or "he's somehow related to ____". It's all to cover up for the obvious mistakes they've made. This makes me realize: the main character is not special for being able to wield a Keyblade. I've been playing as literally an ordinary person. He's not even a master (despite being called one several times in the original KH); simply a wielder. And that's not special because anyone can wield a keyblade nowadays. You see what I'm getting at here? DDD took something amazing, this legendary "chosen one" status, and degraded it to just a normal person's toy. I LOVED playing as Sora as a kid in KH1 and KH2. He was a hero! He was the Chosen One that can wield a legendary weapon that will instantly vanquish darkness! ...but now, it's nothing at all. Anyone can have it. And that upsets me to no end. It's pathetic, and ruins my image of Sora forever. There is nothing intriguing about the protagonist anymore, so why should I even play as him? What makes it worse is that Sora isn't even considered a master after all the feats that he's done, because apparently he's been trained in the wrong way. Let's see...Sora defeated Ansem, a powerful heartless that threatened the destruction of all worlds, defeated 13 members of powerful Nobodies that each had their own unique set of skills, and part of this included Xemnas, the most powerful nobody of all, that had literally ABSORBED the power of an artificial Kingdom Hearts created from THOUSANDS of hearts. He rode a ship through space at light speeds, defeated a giant Dragon, defeated Xemnas like 5 times, took down 1000 heartless by himself, saved the world countless times, and you're telling me he's not a master because of some stupid exam you have to take? For godsake, Aqua literally became a Keyblade master from hitting balls. I think I've ranted on enough about the story for now, since I have so much more to talk about for gameplay. Ahhh good old gameplay. Let's get the good stuff out of the way first shall we? Well, the music is nice. Not the best in the series, but still not bad. The graphics are pretty good for a 3DS game. The controls are decent enough with the circle pad pro. And Flowmotion, in my opinion, even though it kind of breaks platforming, is a pretty cool mechanic that makes movement fun, and I'm excited for it to return in KH3. I liked the big worlds, although a lot of it is a bunch of empty space...I still appreciated the feeling of exploration. Unfortunately, that's pretty much everything redeeming I have to say for gameplay. First issue: Balancing This one you've probably heard a lot. It's an issue in BBS as well, but it's way more obvious in DDD. By balancing, I mean there's one single command in this game that will be automatically the best for any situation ever, no exceptions. Whether if its a mob enemy fight or a tough giant Dream Eater boss, or a powerful "human" boss...the Balloon family will completely destroy them. There is NO boss in this game that resists Balloon, its damage output is absolutely INSANE, and its reload time+cost+how early you can get it (literally before the first boss) completely breaks the command and makes it the best in the entire game. For every single "no damage" or "speedrun" you can find of DDD, you'll see Balloon...and Balloon...and Ballooon.... What happened to the beautiful combat options from, say, KH2? What happened to your fancy combos that you can change up, your Magic, your Drives, your summons, your limits? All these combat options, all with uses for different situations, and all gone. Now, you're just spamming one command to win. It makes the game boring and un-fun. The game doesn't take skill anymore; it just takes patience and having a strong thumb to spam Balloon. Also, saying "just don't use Balloon" is a really crappy argument to make because: 1. The game literally gives it to you as an available option to attack, so there's no reason to exclude it if its the game's intention. 2. Playing the game without Balloon makes it even worse believe it or not; bosses on Level 1 Crit literally become impossible. Good game design Square. It's like they purposely made the game around spamming Balloon just to troll us. "Hey lets put in a really difficult mode, Level 1 Critical. Let's also make the game insanely hard/impossible to beat on that mode, and put in a super overpowered command so they can just spam it over and over again to win. WHOO SOUNDS FUN" Wouldn't surprise me if that was an actual thing. Second Issue: AI Complexity The bosses' AI in this game sucks. That's it. Now I know what some of you are thinking: "Oh no, he's gonna go KH2 nerd on us and bring in Revenge Value and Flinch Count and all that random computery crap." But the thing is, those were very good game design choices in KH2 that I applaud. It made fights interesting; it gave bosses openings, forced you to learn them and time to so you can attack and not get hit. You get better from experience and attempts, and gives you a feeling of satisfaction when you finally win, because you LEARNED something from that fight. Meanwhile in DDD, we have absolutely no system of Revenge, bosses just randomly retaliate. For the most part, the game goes like Balloon>run away>hope you don't get hit by a random retaliation>Balloon. And maybe a cure when necessary. There is zero skill involved, and just doesn't give you the same feeling of satisfaction like KH2 does. When you win, its more like "wow I can't believe I spent 20 minutes spamming Balloon" instead of "AWESOME I BEAT THAT FIGHT BECAUSE I LEARNED SO MUCH ABOUT THE BOSSES' PATTERNS THROUGH EXPERIENCE!" For me, this was a huge downgrade, and ABSOLUTELY inexcusable because the game before it literally had a better system in every way possible. Also, enemies don't stagger. I understand this for giant bosses, but normal enemies literally don't get staggered by your moves in DDD. It's like they're a wall, and you just attack them to inflict damage. This not only makes things super annoying, because enemies can randomly retaliate in the middle of your combos which should TECHNICALLY stun them and render them defenseless, BUT it just makes you want to use overpowered commands like Balloon even more, instead of normal attacks/other commands, since Balloon is one of the few commands that can force enemies to stagger. As if it wasn't powerful enough. I can't emphasize how annoying all these issues add up to be. The story is subpar at best with stupid concepts that feel rushed and made up at the last minute, and it's confusing and full of plot holes. The main character is nothing anymore, he's not special or the "Chosen One", just another one of those hundreds of people who can wield this weapon. The gameplay is once again below expectations, because of the unbalancing and horrid AI. The game is not fun to play at all. If I play on Beginner mode, I destroy everything too easily. If I want a challenge, I can't even get one since I'll just spam Balloon to win. If I restrict myself from spamming Balloon, I'll make the game boring and tedious. Bosses would literally take up to hours for me to beat, because my attacks deal chip damage AND doesn't stagger them. Which means the fights go like "One hit>run away and hope you don't get hit". So yeah this is probably the most I've ever typed in my life and my fingers are absolutely dead. Soooo for those of you who didn't read, I'll try and make a brief tl;dr: tl;dr: -confusing story, full of plotholes, main character has been downgraded to nothing special -gameplay is unbalanced, boring, tedious, AI is awful -a game made literally 6 years before this game is better in almost every single way (KH2), which is unacceptable. Welp I think i'm finally done, and if you do read the whole thing, I will be very impressed. Aside from that, I'll see you guys later. Let's see if we can get some interesting discussions on here.

Anyone else have a huge issues with 2.5 and its "issues"?
Well I'm not gonna argue against you because obviously, I don't own your copy of the disk so I can't see for myself. However, I do assure you that these things that I talk about exist, and has affected other people. Small lag pauses at the beginning of fights are annoying, and even if you claim to have not experienced any of it, others have. Also, Final Xemnas RC glitch exists in all disks, that is definitely true. If you don't believe me, try his normal fight/data fight again and just mash triangle during his move where he throws you ("We shall go together"). Unless you're literally the luckiest person in the world, an RC won't show up and you'll end up getting comboed to death. Alright, I'll take your word for it that you don't have any; however this doesn't mean others don't. There's been people that have experienced these weird lag pauses at the beginning of the fight; that I can say for sure. Sure, it's not a huge problem, but it just makes the game seem unprofessional when a fight just freezes for half a second :| Oh yeah, and regarding crashes: they aren't insanely common, but they exist more in 2.5 than the original 2FM. For example, going into Limit form in the Xemnas 1 fight before he casts the draining thingy around you will result in the game crashing (which, may I mention, is utterly ridiculous considering an in-game mechanic causes a crash).
-
Anyone else have a huge issues with 2.5 and its "issues"?
Pause freezes are definitely consistent in every single KH2.5 disk; for example, iirc, there's one at the beginning of the Cerberus fight Of course, that's assuming you're playing English. Also, Final Xemnas RC glitch definitely exists; not sure if you just got really lucky or something, but half the time, the RC doesn't pop up during the move where he grabs you and you'll end up dying almost immediately, especially on higher difficulties. Yeah once again, loads, drive forms, missing sound, and freezes are definitely all there. Crashes you may or may not have come across, but the point is that there are a lot more crashes in this game than 2FM. Final Xemnas RC glitch is a persistent problem, and I hate Square for it. It makes the game feel unprofessional; like they didn't even bother testing that fight to realize that the RC doesn't work half the time.

Anyone else have a huge issues with 2.5 and its "issues"?
So by 2.5 I'm mainly talking about 2FM HD on English, since BBSHD was obviously better than the original PSP version (I think we can all agree on that despite differing opinions about that game). So for simplicity, 2.5=2FMHD and 2FM=original 2FM on the PS2. But yeah, 2.5 issues bother me so unbelievably much. Maybe its because I was a 2FM nerd back then, and I played 2FM on a JP PS2, so moving from that masterpiece of a game to 2.5 just makes me never want to pick up my PS3 controller ever again Also in case you didn't know what issues I'm talking about (although I'm sure most are painfully aware of them), I'll give a quick list: -Stupidly long load times (especially in comparison to 2FM on the PS2. Also English 2.5 loads slower than JP 2.5. WHY) -Drive Form loads take forever (although this can be solved by pausing, still stupid and no point) -Random freezes at beginning of fights (only in 2.5 English) -Missing sound effects (minor complaint once again, but still bothersome. Why do Xigbar's lasers sound so...lame? What happened to certain bosses famous lines?) -Random crashes/softlocks that were not present in original 2FM (for example, first Xemnas fight's building reaction command freeze) -Final Xemnas fight reaction command glitch (this. sucks. big. donkey. ****) Keep in mind that there are a lot more, I just listed out some of the more prominent ones. I mean honestly, it seems like minor complaints, but when you put them all together, it just makes the game seem to have a bunch of tiny issues with it to diminish the playing experience. Well, minor for the most part *cough cough Xemnas RC glitch* Sooo yeah, I guess part of it is because I was a 2FM kid back in the days, and playing this HD remaster of supposedly my "favorite game ever", I had pretty high expectations. Shame that 2.5 was disappointing, especially in comparison to original 2FM And yes, I do realize it sounds like I'm just crapping all over 2.5, but I just don't want them to be lazy and make the same mistakes for KH3. All these mistakes could have been discovered and fixed with testing, and apparently Square just didn't want to do that. For some reason. (Keep in mind that I'm not saying 2.5 is a bad game. I'm just saying that 2FM is so much better made, in terms of stability and flow of the game) Oh yeah, to prevent myself from sounding like a giant douchebag because I "insulted your favorite game" (because I know someone will start nerd raging at me for saying these things), I will admit I love the newly remastered soundtrack from 2.5

Top Kingdom Hearts 2 Players?
Everglow and Bizkit are probably both at the top, yeah. I'd include both the Bizkits actually, Bizkit047 and Bl00dybizkitz. Kinda ironic that they're both KH2 gods and have the similar names.

Top Kingdom Hearts 2 Players?
I've always had this sort of thought in the back of my head. I chose KH2 as the game for this topic since I figured the idea of just "best KH players" would be way too broad to really figure out (I mean for crying out loud there are probably over 20 games in the series if we count remakes/final mixes). KH2's my favorite KH game, and probably one of the most popularly played out there too, so I figured KH2 would be a good game to compare. This is also probably because KH2 is the most "skill-required" KH game in the series and also has the most complex mechanics, so it would be an excellent way of seeing who truly is "the best". (also pls don't argue with me on the mechanics of KH2 being un-complex compared to other KH games, because I can prove you wrong in every way...and plus, this discussion really isn't about that so I'd rather not get off-topic) Kingdom Hearts 2 isn't really a competitive game; not like games like Smash of course. So it is reasonably difficult to keep track of who's "the best" Kingdom Hearts 2 player ever, especially since everyone interprets "best KH2 player" differently, unlike Melee where there's an obvious group of top players. Soooo I've decided to make a topic on this for discussion: Who would you consider the BEST KH2 player in the world? Or if there's more than one, who are they? So just as a point of reference, when I say "best", I really just mean those who have so much experience in KH2 that they are able to accomplish feats "casual players" can't necessarily do (i.e. beat the game on Level 1 with restrictions, complete understanding of game mechanics and uses it to their advantages, playing through the game as fast as possible, etc.) Also I don't want popularity to be a factor; there are some pretty good KH2 players out there with a lot of potential as "the best" but they're not really well known because...well they just aren't. SO if you do know someone who is a god at KH2 but isn't really as well known as some of the bigger KH people, then list them down. The more the merrier One last thing: I'm referring specifically to GAMEPLAY skill, not knowledge of lore. If it was knowledge of the story, I'd have included all KH games, but for now I'm mainly interested in gameplay of KH2 specifically. So don't come listing some crazy dude who memorized every single line in every single cutscene in the entire KH series or something But yeah that's all I've got to say. Would be interesting to see some of your opinions on this

A defense on KH2
Dang I didn't expect this to get onto the community feed That's pretty sick, thanks guys Interesting that you think that, since I thought DDD was probably one of the easier games of the series due to cheesing pretty much every single fight with Balloon spam. Of course you can always restrict yourself, but the idea is that the game still gives you the option to use those commands. Also I suppose the part about Revenge Values making the bosses more predictable is true...but after all, who doesn't get better at certain fights the more times you do them? I just thought it was really smart that the designers made the game so that it's based off experimentation and learning that allows you to get better, instead of learning how to time attacks or just spamming a single attack and hoping (cough cough DDD cough cough). I fully understand your point of view though, everyone has different preferences so it's only natural that some may prefer another form of gameplay

A defense on KH2
Fair enough. Everyone has different preferences, and I do understand why people would like KH2 better than KH1. Also as for KH2 being "hated on", I may have exaggerated that slightly; but it does occasionally get hate from people which is why I just wanted to make this topic in the first place.

A defense on KH2
Hey guys, this is gonna be my first post on this forum so bear with me here Anyways, I always wanted a way to address this to the Kingdom Hearts community since I love its games so much, so I figured, what better way to do this than to post to a Kingdom Hearts forum? Anyways rant time (this is gonna be long, so apologies beforehand): So KH2. For some reason, it receives a lot of hate from fans. People have called it the worst game in the series, and IGN rated it the lowest out of any KH game (although to be fair, no one takes IGN seriously). Either way, it still kind of bothers me. I understand the whole "everyone has their own opinion" thing, and it's absolutely fine that you don't like KH2; the thing that bothers me are the reasons people use to back their opinion up. So I guess I'll just go through KH2's aspects one at a time, so this is turning more into a review at this point I suppose: Story - It's completely understandable that people don't enjoy KH2's story as much as KH1; it sort of shifts away from the whole "Disney character interaction" and focuses more on the whole "overall story" of Kingdom Hearts. I don't find this to be bothersome, but I do understand if people don't like this story as much as some of the other games. Nevertheless; as important as story is, we still want to look at the core element of every game: the gameplay. Gameplay - Why do people hate the gameplay? Well here's a couple of the most common reasons I see: -Too much button mashing -Too many cutscenes interrupting pacing of gameplay -Too easy (which is apparently due to button mashing) -Boring beginning game -Not much exploration -Reaction Commands make the game way too easy Okay so from those few points I compiled, I will say that some of them are very true. However.... -Too much button mashing: Okay so this one is completely false. Anyone who says KH2 is a button masher either played on Beginner Mode or was extremely overleveled throughout the entire game. Here's an idea: try playing on Proud or Critical, or if you're really up to it, go on Level 1. I'd like to see you try and mash X and beat the game. Guess what? It's not gonna happen. As a matter of fact, you'd get completely destroyed. -Too many cutscenes interrupting pacing of gameplay: I will admit this one has some point to it. KH2 has a lot of cutscenes...a lot. And I see why this may turn people away from the game. However, I will also say that they added in a cutscene skip option after KH1....so if you really don't care about the story, then skip away. -Too easy: Once again, KH2 is not an easy game just because you were level 50 in the first visit of Beast's Castle on Beginner mode. Guys. They give you an option to choose a difficulty at the very beginning. If you find Beginner or Standard too easy, go Proud or Critical. It's understandable if you find Critical easy; those who are experts at the game do (notably some speedrunners/no damage challengers). However, the difference is if you were that good at the game, you wouldn't call it "easy" or a "button masher" because you would understand the concept that not everyone is as skilled as the game as you were. I think this argument out of all of them bothers me the most; when people call KH2 easy, I'm just like "hey why don't you play the game on LV1 Critical and then tell me if it's easy or not." -Boring beginning game: I can't argue with this one; the Roxas section in KH2 was boring. Sure, first time playthrough it was interesting and it acted as a pretty good way to get used to the controls, but everytime after that, you were just trying to rush and get to the fun part of the game where you play as Sora. Plus, Roxas sucks as a character in combat. As intriguing as his character may be in terms of story, his basic three hit combos are weak and pretty crappy compared to Sora's attacks. -Not much exploration: This one is sort of an opinionated argument. Personally I actually don't mind if the game is too linear, but I understand some others do want the "exploration" part, especially after the exploration factor that most loved in KH1. So understandable, but I don't think it's a reason to hate the game. In addition, the Final Mix/HD ReMIX version added post-game dungeon Cavern of Remembrance that you can explore your life away since it's such a huge area. In fact, that area sort of reminds me of KH1's exploration; only much more fun, especially if you have all growth abilities equipped. -Reaction Commands make the game way too easy: Uh what? Since when did Reaction Commands make the game easy? People's main argument supporting this is something along the lines of "you use reaction commands every fight, giving you invincibility frames and easy damage to a boss". True...but that by no means makes the game easy. You get some damage in. But you can't spam it for infinity invicibility (minus Limits if you count those...but even those can't last forever), and you're not gonna beat the game with pure reaction commands. There's literally only one fight in the entire game that I can think of that abuses Reaction Commands, and that is the 1 thousand Heartless battle. Even then, if you're playing on Critical Mode and Level 1, that fight is still terrifying and you can still die at any time. So this argument of "RCs making game too easy" is a complete lie. So I realize this post has gone on for way too long and probably no one will read this, but I just wanted to get this out of my system tonight. Gonna finish up on why I think KH2 is the best Kingdom Hearts game by far: It's addicting. I know, it's an opinion, but I'll back this up. We have a variety of options to choose from, and I think what really pulls me in is the fact that these many options that you can choose from all have usages. As useless as you may believe Summons to be in KH2, they're really not. Ever tried Stitch who infinitely restores MP so you can spam magic? Or maybe Chicken Little who draws in enemies from far away and stuns them with his firecrackers as well as dealing minor damage so you can go in for the kill. It's amazing how useful summons can be, so try them out before you insult them for how useless they are. Besides that, we also have a ton of other options: 6 Magic spells, a ton of Limits, 5 Drive Forms, a bunch of new abilities and combo modifiers that change up your combos, etc. They did an excellent job with balancing; though not perfect (aka Reflect being overpowered), it's definitely the best they've done in any KH game so far. Before you flame me, I have proof: KH1 has too little combat choices to really compete, ReCoM had Lethal Frame which was insane on almost all bosses, BBS had easy to get commands like Ignite/Mine Square/Surges that annihilate enemies, ReCoded was ReCoded (lol), and DDD had Balloon, the most overpowered command to come into existence ever. Soooo I think KH2 takes the cake on this one. And before you argue that this doesn't really matter, think of it like this: If you had a choice between using 20 fancy attacks each with their use or 2-3 overpowered attacks that you just spam to kill everything, which one would you choose? I don't know about you guys, but I'd definitely pick the 20 attacks. I wanted to cover this topic, just because not many KH players know about this: complex AI. To be specific, invisible in-game counters that depict how bosses retaliate or attack (i.e. Revenge Value, Action Count, Flinch Count). These are quite complicated so I'm not gonna bother explaining too much, but I will give a brief overview. Have you ever wondered why spamming Horizontal Slash on Sephiroth will eventually force him to teleport out and retaliate? That's because you've struck his Revenge Value, forcing him to retaliate to your attacks. These things keep bosses from being combo-ed forever, and also adds a lot of depth to the gameplay; by analyzing Revenge Value and how bosses respond to you attacks, you can make up your own strategy to defeat them (this is especially prominent on harder difficulties like Critical Mode). No other KH game has a system like this; the closest is probably KH1 which had a minor and simplistic system for countering on certain bosses. I'm pretty much done with my rant now, and if you actually read all this, congrats Now keep in mind that this is all my opinion, but I did indeed back it up with reason. If you disagree with anything, feel free to let me know and why, because I would love to hear some of your opinions out there. Now that I'm done, I think I'll be off... (Also did I mention that KH2 has a kickass post-game? Mushrooms, Cavern, Data Org, Terra...so many things to do!)

A Rant About Kingdom Hearts.
Um what? Nothing in this paragraph makes any sense. "now they resort to a crappy triangl button mash which magically decimates all your enemies". If you can even come up with ONE fight in the game that requires mash of triangles to win, can you please tell me? I can't come up with any, with the minor exception of 1k Heartless, and even there if you're playing on a higher difficulty (critical mode) try mashing triangle and tell me what happens. Guess what: you're gonna get destroyed. That makes absolutely zero sense. "where did the difficulty go, bro, too lazy to make complex AI in your game mechanics?" Once again, absolutely wrong. You complain about difficulty, yet Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix undoubtedly offers the most difficult "difficulty" out of any KH game by far: Level 1 Critical (I understand this is sorta a pseudo-difficulty level, but it's still a great deal harder than Critical Mode). This game's level 1 requires way more strategy than any other KH level 1; mash triangle to win the game, I'd like to see you try. You won't even get past Roxas, that's how ridiculous your "mash triangle and no skill required" argument is. Go ahead and compare to other KH level 1's; not one is harder than this one. 1.5, okay it had it's challenging parts, but EXP Zero was buffed to the point that nothing can kill you in one shot. Along with Leaf Bracer and MP Rage, you're literally invincible. So tedious, but not challenging. This is similar in other KH games as well, like BBS, DDD; you're always given these overpowered commands (aka balloon in DDD or surges/ignite in BBS) super early on in the game, along with invincible dodges, and it honestly makes the level 1 more tedious and boring than an exciting challenge. Never in any of these games will you ever get killed in 1 hit, due to properties of EXP Zero or being able to obtain Second Chance/Once More easily. KH2 is the only game that has the chance of you getting killed, and along with so many other combat options. So what I don't understand is this argument of "KH2 being too easy" and "mashing triangle to win", since they don't make any sort of sense. At all.
