Of course she's the main character, she is the only one out of the three who is actually a keyblade master. LOL

I'm pretty sure Sora's guard is the way it is because there is already a "quick guard" in the game. It's the attack button, timing an attack to block/deflect is faster but more risky than guarding, that's how you catch those attacks that the guard can't block.
