  1. A video breakdown of the first Kingdom Hearts Orchestra -World of Tres- concert has been uploaded online courtesy of Yanilyn Gaming. It is a 34-minute vlog consisting of footage of the venue before the concert, during the intermission, and after the concert, along with a breakdown of the concert's proceedings. We will summarize Yanilyn’s breakdown, including the order of performances and important announcements from Tetsuya Nomura and Shinji Hashimoto. Additionally, both her video breakdown and her Twitter account can be found at the end of this article. Yanilyn's breakdown begins with details of the concert's venue, Tokyo International Forum. Exclusive merchandise was being sold at the venue and free items were being given. 12 different postcards featuring Chirithy in different outfits representing the different Zodiac signs were given out, along with a free Mickey pin badge that attendees had to pre-register to receive. The show itself was a total of 3 hours long, beginning with an orchestral version of Kingdom Hearts III’s Dearly Beloved. All sections of the concert had scenes from the games. Yoko Shimomura then came out to announce that the rest concert was split into two parts. The first part consisted of music from the previous games in the series, while the second consisted of music from Kingdom Hearts III. The first part of the concert's setlist is as follows: "Dearly Beloved from KINGDOM HEARTS III" "Music from KINGDOM HEARTS" Destiny Islands Traverse Town Hand in Hand Friends in My Heart "Music from Re:Chain of Memories" Scent of Silence Castle Oblivion "Music from KINGDOM HEARTS II" The Afternoon Streets Working Together Reviving Hollow Bastion Cavern of Remembrance Deep Anxiety "Music from 358/2 Days" Critical Drive Sacred Moon Musique pour la Tristesse de Xion "Pretty Pretty Abilities from Re:coded" "Music from Birth by Sleep" The Worlds Dearly Dreams Destiny's Union Night of the Dark Dream "Music from Dream Drop Distance" Dream Eaters Sweet Spirits Majestic Wings Link to All "Music from Another Time" Features various pieces from Union Cross, Back Cover, and 0.2 A fragmentary passage "Diabolic Bash" Consists of battle and boss pieces from across the series During the performance, different cutscenes were shown from each game. After the above performance, a 20-minute intermission occurred, and the music from Kingdom Hearts III began playing after that. This part of the concert was called Music from Kingdom Hearts III - World of Tres. The setlist consisted of the following: "Face My Fears -KINGDOM Orchestra Instrumental Version-" "Symphonic Suite - World of Tres I: Of Gods and Toys" Music from Olympus and Toy Box "Symphonic Suite - World of Tres II: Tangled with Scares" Music from Kingdom of Corona and Monstropolis "Symphonic Suite - World of Tres III: A Frozen Fracas" Music from Arendelle "Symphonic Suite - World of Tres IV: A Pirates Tale" Music from the Caribbean "Symphonic Suite - World of Tres V: A Hero’s Journey" Music from San Fransokyo "Overture to the Decisive Battle" Music from the Keyblade Graveyard and Scala ad Caelum boss rushes An interesting fact about the "Of Gods and Toys" section is that during the field music for Toy Box, the orchestra was snapping their fingers along with the music. Yoko Shimomura came out after "A Frozen Fracas" and introduced two fellow composers who worked on Kingdom Hearts III's soundtrack, Takeharu Ishimoto and Tsuyoshi Sekito. Ishimoto was the composer for the Caribbean and San Fransokyo worlds along with the boss battles. Sekito was the composer for the Gummi Ship and mini-game sections of KH3. Yanilyn pointed out that Ishimoto was so shy at the concert that Shimomura joked that he should introduce himself more. Meanwhile, Sekito joked about how he made cute music despite him not seeing himself as cute. Another fact that came out while the three were talking on stage was that this was the first time Ishimoto had his music arranged in an orchestral fashion. Afterward, the concert resumed with the continuation of Symphonic Suits World of Tres A Pirates Tale and A Hero's Tale. Once the World of Tres section ended, "Simple and Clean -KINGDOM Orchestra Instrumental Version" played alongside scenes of the Kingdom Hearts III ending. With the majority of the concert finished, Shinji Hashimoto was brought out by Yoko Shimomura to announce his retirement as executive producer of the Kingdom Hearts series. He is relinquishing the position to Ichiro Hazama, the producer of the Dissidia and Theatrhythm series of Final Fantasy spin-off titles. Hashimoto himself is not leaving Square Enix, and will continue serving as the brand manager for Kingdom Hearts. Hazama began introducing himself and quickly brought out the surprise guest of the night, Tetsuya Nomura. Nomura joked with Hazama for a bit about how suddenly he introduced himself, and announced that while he had nothing new to show, he had brand new DLC info to announce. Here is an overview of what he announced: Paid DLC: Kingdom Hearts III: ReMIND Additional Scenario "ReMIND" Limit Cut Episode + Boss Secret Episode + Boss English VA option (only for JP. No word on an equivalent option for non-JP copies) Free DLC: New Keyblade + New Form Both ReMIND and the free DLC have a TBA release window. With these announcements out of the way, the concert began to wind down and Yoko Shimomura came out to personally play the piano and played a special section. "Rhapsody in Tres for Piano, Chorus, and Orchestra" A section dedicated to the end credits music from KH3. After Yoko's performance ended, she left the stage, and the orchestral version of Don't Think Twice began to play, with scenes of Sora and Kairi appearing on the screen. It was a montage of their moments throughout the series, ending with Sora and Kairi about to share a paopu fruit, but then changing to the final scene of KH3, concluding the concert. Thank you so much to Yanilyn Gaming for going to the Kingdom Hearts Orchestra World of Tres and making a video breakdown. Below will be her video to watch with more details of the show and her twitter account here. We will also link to our previous article that features details outside Yanilyn's breakdown along with the concert dates here. Are you interested in or going to attend the World of Tres concert? 4. Welcome to KH13’s trailer analysis for the CM 120 Japanese trailer! This trailer is two minutes exactly with a unique introduction and is faster paced than previous normal trailers, due to the quick cuts it has. Old and new footage is shown and giving us new bits of information regarding gameplay and story, especially Rage Form being shown and the epilogue of the trailer that shows us a brand new direct interaction of Sora and Xehanort. Now, let’s dive in! The trailer begins with a 29-second introduction with footage of the HD 2.5 ReMIX launch event. "Inside the Kingdom, with Heart” from 2014. It showed multiple groups of fans explaining their history with Kingdom Hearts and the emotional significance it had in their lives. After that, a new cutscene is immediately shown afterward, showing Hercules riding Pegasus into Mount Olympus to meet up Sora who is next to a mini tower of sorts made up dried lava and ice, most likely created by the Lava and Ice Titans. Hercules then flies to destroy chains that are placed upon the Greek gods, Apollo and Athena. Monstropolis footage is shown as the factory is being exploded. The following sequence is from Toy Box and it shows Buzz Lightyear, with a strange facial expression, suddenly aiming his laser at Woody. Goofy suddenly jumps in front of Woody and blocks Buzz’s multiple laser shots. A quick cut then shows Sora and Donald looking back at the situation along with Young Xehanort. These scenes may imply that the story in Toy Box may evolve saving Buzz, as another trailer showed Buzz being enveloped and whisked away by darkness seen here. San Fransokyo footage is shown with a Dinosaur Heartless attacking the city, with then Sora, Donald, Goofy, and Baymax running to a scene where chaos is happening. At this point, mostly formally shown footage is used beginning with The Caribbean footage with Jack Sparrow commanding the ship while Sora is taking the helm. After that, the duel between Jack and Davy Jones is shown. Arendelle footage of the beginning sequence of “Let it Go,” along with a scene of Elsa doing an icy blast in front of Anna. Mickey is talking to Sora in The Mysterious Tower. They are both in their KH3 attire suggesting that the scene is past the introduction of the game. Sora talking to Pooh in 100 Acre Woods Remy and Sora in Twilight Town. Rapunzel and Flynn Rider/Eugene on the lake with their lanterns. Gameplay begins to be shown starting with Sora wall running in the Rock Titan fight. Sora, Donald, and Goofy sledding in Arendelle collecting munny Sora, Woody, and Buzz using the Rodeo Rocket attack against the Spaceship Heartless, then Ralph being summoned. Sora using the Twin Yo-Yo’s in Monstropolis against while Heartless while Boo’s Laugh Power meter is in the upper left corner. The Stitch limit being used to cause electrical attacks with triangles. It looks like they may be player created. The cutscene portion of Rapunzel's limit attack in the Kingdom of Corona is shown. Gameplay in The Caribbean is shown starting with Ariel’s Limit Summon cutscene, the Storm Flag Keyblade Transformation being used on the deck of the Black Pearl, Sora underwater launching a magic projectile against a big Heartless, and Sora controlling a flying Heartless and using it in combat. A quick snippet of the Gummi Ship shooting asteroids. Two clips of Arendelle gameplay, one showing Sora using Blizzard Blade against a group of Heartless and Sora atop of Marshmallow fighting a giant snow wolf Heartless. The next sequence is brand new footage showing Rage Form in use against the previously seen dinosaur Heartless in San Fransokyo, Rage Form strongly looks and acts similarly to Anti Form in Kingdom Hearts II with the exception that now Sora is still wielding a Keyblade. Rage Form Sora will have to fight against the Heartless with armor as well. A situation command also appears on the tree on the right. It was not used in the trailer. After that, the Evil Baymax battle is shown then the Heartless battle in the Golden Gate Bridge. The end of the trailer is marked by events in the Keyblade Graveyard as shown in the Final Battle Trailer. Click here to see our analysis on that trailer. After the Kingdom Hearts III logo appears, the trailer’s epilogue begins with Sora jumping to attack Xehanort but being blocked, assumingly after the events of the Final Battle Trailer as the sky is darkened and Sora challenging Xehanort on his own. Interesting to note that Xehanort is surrounded by identical copies of his Keyblade, No Name. Sora exchanges a few words with Xehanort but then is thrown off by him. Xehanort gives the fallen Sora a smug look as Sora looks at him with angry tears down his face, that being the final shot of the trailer. Overall, the trailer provided new brief new glimpses from both story and gameplay perspectives, with that being Buzz Lightyear’s heel turn/possible mind control, Rage Form being shown, and the confrontation in the epilogue, while mostly reusing previously shown footage. A nice trailer to reinforce that the number of days Kingdom Hearts III will release can be counted with two hands! Thank you for reading the KH13 analysis of the CM 120 trailer! You can watch the full trailer below. Did you happen to see something we didn’t? Let us know in the comments below!

  11. Today on December 15, 2018, leaks surfaced from an illegal retail copy of Kingdom Hearts III. Video and screenshots of said retail copy have been posted online. We found evidence that revealed that one man stole one or more copies (reportedly, at least 30) of the English version of Kingdom Hearts III for Xbox One. The man seems to have obtained the copies using connections he has with an employee of a company in charge of printing/packaging Kingdom Hearts III for Xbox One. He has since tried to sell his copies, uploading some very short game footage to prove the copies were legitimate. The seller claimed he has sold over ten copies. Due to ethical and copyright issues, we will not report on any Kingdom Hearts III content coming from unofficial sources such as these leaked and illegally sold copies. We will not post any pictures, audio, video, or information that fit this criterion. We will not share the name or location of the perpetrator, whom we have reported to Square Enix. We will not share information about the buyers or social media accounts posting leaks on our articles. You can, however, find tips and advice on avoiding spoilers on the #how-to-avoid-spoilers on our Discord server, including accounts you can mute/block/avoid. UPDATE: Tetsuya Nomura has released a statement about the leak. You can read the statement here. We have created a Kingdom Hearts III Spoilers subforum where fans can discuss these leaks without spoiling the game for others. KH13.com's spoiler policy on Kingdom Hearts III allows discussion on publicly announced content (eg. trailers, interviews, promotional pictures, etc.); however, leaks are to be discussed in the Spoilers subforum only. Avatars, statuses, and thread titles must not contain spoilers. We may be revising our Kingdom Hearts III spoiler policy in the future, according to future content releases by Square Enix and Disney. KH13.com’s Discord is to be absolutely spoiler-free. No discussion on the leaks is allowed, and any post suspected to be spreading these leaks will be removed at once. We would also like to say to fans to please be extra careful on social media, especially comment sections. Thumbnails, titles, autoplay, recommended videos, and comments on Youtube can be especially dangerous for those that are trying to avoid spoilers. We will be monitoring KH13.com and its Discord extensively to prevent and stop the spread of leaks. We hope that fans understand our policy and respect the work done so far by the game's developing team by not trying to access the leaks nor divulging them where they aren't warranted. Thank you for your cooperation. Stay safe! To visit the Kingdom Hearts III spoiler subforum, click here.

  13. Welcome to KH13’s trailer analysis for the “Together” trailer. From the start this trailer is the most unique one released, as it forgoes the traditional format of Kingdom Hearts III trailers in favor of one more reminiscent of movie trailers, including: a voice over narrator, dramatic cuts, and sound effects specifically to dramatize the events shown. The sound effects from the official game can also be hear in this new trailer, a change from the previous trailer formats as well. Aside from the format change, this trailer mixes in a limited amount of new scenes along with mostly previously seen cutscenes. Very little gameplay was shown. Now that the uniqueness of the trailer has been stated, let’s dive in. The trailer starts with the Kingdom Hearts III rating provided by the ESRB: It is rated E10+ for alcohol reference and fantasy violence. The full description they released for their rating can be viewed here, but do be warned: it includes minor spoilers for some as far as what type of violence to expect. The trailer then opens with the narrator saying, “Our worlds are under attack” while showing several scenes of Sora in the Kingdom of Corona, a group of flying Heartless flying to multiple ships in the Pirates of the Caribbean world, then flaming Heartless, that seem to be Flame Cores from 0.2 Birth by Sleep - A fragmentary passage, destroying the Thebes in the Olympus Coliseum world. The narrator goes on to say, “Only you can stand against the darkness” while showing a big Heartless previously seen in other worlds, but this time in San Fransokyo Bridge going against Sora, Donald, Goofy, and Baymax. Then Hades appears ordering the the Titans to show their power but only the Rock Titan. It then shows it throwing down the boulder like the beginning of the Rock Titan demo that has been available at multiple conventions. The narrator says, “Now the battle between light and dark..” as Riku and Mickey appear in the Realm of Darkness beach, but then suddenly surrounded by Shadows. To then show Sora (in his KH2 attire), Donald, and Goofy, meeting Maleficent and Pete in Thebes as the narrator says, “to reach its epic conclusion.” Arendelle is shown. Donald and Goofy is shown fighting Soldier Heartless, then previously shown footage of Elsa defeating the new deer Heartless. New footage is then shown of Sora, Donald, and Goofy running somewhere in the Caribbean, where Jack Sparrow catches up to them while saying hi to them. Sora exclaims, “Jack Sparrow!” Jack stops running to correct them and to call him Captain Jack Sparrow. A brief Frozen cutscene is shown again. This time having our trio landing onto Goofy’s shield to do some sledding. New Tangled cutscenes appear. First showing Flynn Rider being chased by a small group of Heartless. Rapunzel runs up to Sora ready to fight with her hair wrapped like rope in her arms, declaring that she is not afraid to fight. Very briefly a limit is shown where Rapunzel and Flynn swinging Sora, Donald, and Goofy in Rapunzel’s hair onto a group of enemies where the three individually cause a decently sized ground pound explosion. Note: there is no command menu present and the trio glow as they are about to land and explode. The red flaming dinosaur Heartless then appears in front of the Toy Box gang, followed by the Aliens from Toy Story exclaiming, “Oh no” in a typical movie trailer style cut. Footage of the Black Pearl then Jack Sparrow appear, followed by Hiro from Big Hero 6 appearing with the his group and our heroes exclaiming that, “Together we’re unstoppable!” This is where most likely the title of the trailer came to be. Sora then is shown fighting against a previously seen Heartless from the bridge in San Fransokyo but this time in the city area. Monsters Inc. footage is shown having the gang running away from the destruction of the building they are in, followed by Randall, the villain from Monsters Inc. appearing. More Frozen footage showing Marshmallow getting angry at Anna, Kristoff, and Olaf. Olaf tells the two to run as he will provide the distraction. Note: Olaf’s body is stuck to a snow covered boulder, making Olaf appear as if he cannot move. Pirate Sora manning the Jack Sparrow’s ship, the Black Pearl in the Caribbean and firing cannons. Sora summoning Ralph in what seems like Kingdom of Corona. The narrator begins again saying, “For life... and light... together we fight.” as a rapid number of shots appear. Baymax and Sora flying in the San Fransokyo night, Flynn and Rapunzel with their lanterns along with a shot of all the lanterns in the Kingdom of Corona to the backdrop of that world’s castle, and Sora summoning Ariel in Arrendel. The Kingdom Hearts III logo appears followed by the scene of the new Organization 13 in the Keyblade Graveyard all together at first but then Master Xehanort is on top of a rising pillar, smiling down onto us, with mysterious music. Minus the mysterious music, this cutscene was first shown in the previous Winnie the Pooh trailer. Overall, this was an exciting trailer mostly due to the format change. The movie trailer format this takes is reminiscent of early 2000s trailers. If you have seen any trailers from those years, the formula is rather predictable, but in this case it is exciting. Hearing in-game sound effects was a welcome addition. The way the dialogue was cut was also interesting compared previous trailers. It was brief and felt more as it would in-game. Link to the trailer here! What are your thoughts on the new format this trailer used? Nomura has stated that more trailers are going to be released in December. Would you like them to use this format or the Don’t Think Twice style? Let us know and also tell us if we missed anything! For future trailer analysis stay tuned!

Toy Tokyo Purchasing Tips: Funko can have an interesting release schedule. Some will be announced and not be for sale for months, and others will be announced and be on store shelves within a few weeks. Exclusive Pops tend to have better release schedules as the exclusive retailer is more likely to announce when they will go on sale. Online shopping for Funkos can be tricky. Pops can sell out quickly online if a store page is even published. Your best bet is to follow us here at KH13, follow your preferred local store’s social media pages, and popular social media accounts known to post Funko news. GameStop is a great place for pre-ordering Funko Pops. Just like how they do their video game pre-orders, all you have to do put down a $5 deposit to have them hold it for you. You can pay it fully anytime before, or on the day of release. Check their pre-order listings to see if they have your preferred Pop! Amazon can also be a great source to find Pops. Be aware, however, that pre-orders for Pops can be a hassle. Pop release dates fluctuate. You can pre-order the Pop early and receive a different shipping date 3-4 days after it is released. If you wish to pre-order from Amazon but want the Prime 2-Day shipping, make sure to buy it as close as to the release date. If the retailers do not have these Pops, eBay and PPG Marketplace is a great source to find Pops, albeit at higher prices. As a recent example, Walmart has allowed for Sora Guardian Form to be on for sale twice. Both times, the Pop sold out in mere minutes. Within a few days, the Pop became available on both eBay and PPG. We hope that you found our Funko Pop! quick guide useful! We will update this article and our coverage as more Pops are confirmed and released. [uPDATE] Oct. 14, 2018: Sora Dual Blasters was revealed and removed from the rumored section of this article.
