And yeah, EVERYONE loves to tease older KH games for the empty worlds and lack of NPCs, but KH1 is where it WORKS The Heartless are invading each world one by one and killing everyone until they eventually kill the heart of the world Yeah, we're on the same page ahaha

I first read about these on Gamefaqs Damn near blew my mind Off topic a little, but something about KH1 that I loved and miss with modern titles is the sense of mystery and dread Like how everyone keeps mentioning "the shadows" (The Heartless) It tells you the fear and danger that the world around you is going through and gives you a rush of urgency to save them.

I hope it's like the manga Cause honestly, as far as story and tone goes, the manga is actually better than the games

KH2 and CoM were pretty dark too. With onscreen murder, kidnapping, and themes of existentialism. God I hate that I was too young to really understand and appreciate that when those games came out
