She wants to explore new worlds, but also fears change and doesn't want to lose her friends. By the end of the game she accepts that Sora and her will never be truely apart and this is what allows her to trust Sora's promise that he'll return to her

Yeah Sora's whole obsession with Naminé is basically his love for Kairi flanderized The entire reason why his feelings for Naminé were so strong was because he loved Kairi that much. And Naminé is Kairi's "shadow" Though with how the games panned out, it would have been WAY more poetic if Xion has been Kairi's nobody seeing as how her and Roxas seem to be an item similar to Sora and Kairi Poor Naminé
