I had to look it up, and to be fair, they’re doing only marginally better than last year as of march (the most recent report I could find) and merch, which is still one of their biggest reasons why they’re currently staying afloat, was actually down compared to last year 💀

It’s the same alpha footage from Reddit, yeah, just trimmed down a bit. I hope we get a closed beta test soon, but it was just in alpha not that long ago, so who knows. this should be better quality Okay maybe not 💀

to be fair, ever crisis doesn't even have a release date. it's just a beta test for a week. and missing link's still in alpha, the last they had a test. 😔 we'll get it eventually

^^^ even in KH3, references like daybreak town’s tower under Scala, you need 0 context from the mobile games to understand what it is. they even spell out what they need the player to know in the DLC.

The time high hopes about the release date become an issue is when people get angry with square for not releasing the game sooner. Which happens, unfortunately 😭 As soon as they said they were transferring the game from UE4 to UE5, I figured we wouldn’t be seeing the game for a long while 😭

Very true. I’m not sure how well this information trickle every few years will work for KH in this new decade… even UX was painfully drawn out. Hopefully missing link will be a small part in helping remedy that a little bit.

Mind you, I love KH3 and it’s one of my fave KH games. I was talking moreso about how divided the fandom was when it first released. If the series could survive that, it can definitely survive Star Wars being added to it.
