im not even sure what resolution they have on pc these videos cant play right away. they probably have some kind of proprietary codec that only the game can read

and the fact that kh1 theater is all prerendered videos bc for some reason it has to run as a separate app

they do double it. recom.pkg is 3.8 gb

which is essentially everything except those with speech bubbles i just checked and only those cutscenes are 6.7gb which must be like 90% of the whole recom size

also confirms that 358 movie is purely prerendered. i think someone said once that they run on real time

yep, those are only for specific cutscenes. pc port really makes it easy since they are just there. as simple mp4 videos that you can use on any player

im going with the copy models since i cant see any kind of video compression at least on kh1 and 2

what if that menu simply instances another copy of the model with 3d face? or even a prerendered video with transparent bg

if this is like kh2 it might stop rendering stuff while on menus meaning there should be enough resources to make a 3d face

1080i actually iirc ps2 never had that resolution in progressive

it had native 1080p? thought it was 720p being 2011

idk, text sizes kinda suggests 1080p resolution

kh4 and optimize ml for the final release

its hard to get a game to run perfectly on pc unless its the original platform (like cyberpunk)

ff16 released on pc just fine. i saw no issues at all unless this is one of those cases where you have to be looking for them
