Non reality in Kingdom Hearts is more like how our reality actually is I feel, more grey instead of black(darkness) and white(light), Nomura could pose some truly insightful scenarios in this next saga if he is going more towards the theme of in-between darkness and light I mean how else is the war between light and dark gonna end besides a middle ground Darkness and light have been going at it for a couple rounds now lol couple being the biggest understatement
