actually they wrote a proper ending for DQ11 and then replaced it with a worse one just because the main character didn't like the outcome of it

I don't think they will do any of this though. They couldn't even write a proper ending for DQ11

I'd fucking love if they do sth in the style of Shadowbringers where the mc starts to die more and more

they don't need to make him useless but they have to explain why things are the way they are to a certain extend

But an explanation still isn't needed here. Lacking sleep doesn't make you useless, and there is no indication on how much of an issue this is for Hero here.

I haven't played 8 so I don't know the context to that

it's only a stupid idea if they don't explain things enough. but the previous mainline DQ game randomly introduced a time travel tower with no explanation to change the outcome of the story so it's fair to assume that it's gonna be stupid

Hero characters in these games also get a buff of their own

Or its just a character trait to fit the design

His design shows that he seemingly barely has sleep. I find a main protagonist that doesn't suffer health issues from it or constantly wins fights not very believeable
