Hitman: Absolution is the 5th entry in the Hitman franchise and the first Hitman title since Square Enix acquired developer IO Interactive. It is available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC & Mac. It is a stealth game but it can be played more casually and has five difficulty settings to show this. Overall gameplay is quite good, you can easily go from stealth to gun play allowing you to choose the way you want to complete each mission which is very good for someone like me who isn't big on stealth, I like stealth elements but not stealth based. Graphically the game is nice, but it's not stunning by any means. Also, I don't think the cutscenes are consistent with the game's overall graphical style which is a shame. Music and sound is quite good. The story is okay, but it's nothing memorable. The characters have their moments but again, none are really memorable aside from Agent 47, the character you play as. There is plenty of replay value if you enjoy the game as you can complete the missions in various ways, and they also have a contracts mode where you can make your own contacts, in this mode where you make your own missions based on story areas. You can also play other user generated missions. There's plenty of trophies/achievements to collect if you're up for that. Overall it's a very good game. 8/10
