When asked on Facebook about Sleeping Dogs 2, United Front Games responded with: "No news to share on SD2 as UFG is focused on Triad Wars at the moment." Bit odd to say there's no news to share on something that hasn't even been announced. Secondly, I asked them about porting Triad Wars to PS4 & Xbox One. They liked it.

Sleeping Dogs is an open world action-adventure video game developed by United Front Games and Square Enix London. It is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 & PC. I played it on PlayStation 3. It is set in Hong Kong, the story follows Wei Shen, an undercover Chinese-American police officer on assignment to infiltrate the Sun On Yee Triad organisation. Now, I'll be honest I don't play open world games. I get bored after an hour with Grand Theft Auto. But surprisingly, this game was amazing. I picked this game up after watching some trailers and reviews along with playing the demo. And to be honest, I only looked into this game since Square Enix published it and co-developed it. And while it seemed pretty good at the start it just kept getting better. I honestly loved this story. It felt like a movie. But it's odd, I'd never watch a movie like this. The voice talent is very good, and I cared about a lot of the characters and felt they were quite interesting. The soundtrack is massive. There are tons of great tacks to suit the situation. It takes the length of one of them just to cycle through a list of them in the credits. The gameplay is great fun. Hand-to-hand combat along with using various weapons including of course various guns. There isn't much shooting elements early but it picks up late and it's quite an enjoyable system. There are various ways to easily keep track of everything which is of course a massive help in an open-world game. There's also a ton of side missions and mini-games. Heck, even just driving around beautiful Hong Kong is great. I didn't really notice any camera issues despite hearing about some though. Did I mention it looks great? Hong Kong looks beautiful, the characters look good, the water looks great, the detail in this game is great. Good trophies/achievements list as well. There's also plenty of DLC including clothing, weapons, vehicles, missions and even three story expansions with one set post the main story. Sleeping Dogs isn't the type of game I would normally play, ever, I only looked into because of Square Enix but I'm so glad I did. This game is amazing. I will purchase the PlayStation 4 port one day and I also hope to see a sequel on PlayStation 4, Xbox One & PC one day. 9/10
