Suddenly in a flash, a black screen fades out to show a war taking place, many injured, many still fighting, many keyblades lay down without a warrior seen anywhere. The screen followed many of these things, but ended at a boy with blue hair who looked like they were of the light. The boy had many cuts and bruises over his body, but he still looked like he could stand a fight. He was fighting someone who was cloaked in an organization coat but with one half being black as darkness and the other white as light. The figure looked like it had the upper hand, and then suddenly the figure had the blue haired boy down on the ground and had a keyblade in its hand pointing towards the boy like the figure was ready to end the boy. Suddenly, the scene fades to black and you hear a voice.

"Do you ever wonder to yourself, 'how did I get here? How did things become like this? What you just saw was part of the ending to the story, but that is part of the ending, not where the story begins. The story actually begins 177 days before now, just as the start of the new academy year in a world called Keyblade Grounds was beginning. Back then, I was just starting another year of training while getting my studies in....."

----------------------------------------------------------------------

The scene then fades in at an academy that was at the foot of a huge castle, which the academy was filled with a library in the bottom left hand corner, the actual academy building in the middle in the shape of a huge letter T, a gym like area that served as a training area in the bottom right hand corner, and other small buildings surrounding it. The whole academy and the castle was at the very top of a huge village that had many homes, stores, restaurants, and whatnot where common people could basically live.

The scene zooms into the training gym, where the same blue haired boy from before was now in one peace battling against another guy who had dirty black colored hair. The man looked older than the boy, but only by seven years. "Come on, Waves, you can do better than that!" the man said introducing that the boy's name was Waves. The man then summoned black orbs out of his hands and sent them to attack Waves. Waves dodged it in a seconds notice, and then summoned a light beam at the man. "I'm not finished yet, Master Zack!" Waves said in response to the man who was called Master Zack, also introducing that the man was a Keyblade master. The light beam hit Master Zack but only by a little because he dodged the attack a little late. "Nice work, but you are no match for me. You seem to lack the knowledge of how to defeat the darkness, as light can't destroy darkness, as darkness can't destroy light." Master Zack said as suddenly in a flash, Waves was down on the floor. "One of these days I shall defeat you and become a keyblade master as well." Waves said as Master Zack reached out a hand to help Waves up. "Yeah, sure you will. And maybe someday light and darkness, evil and good, will become one. But until then, practice, and hurry up, we are going to be late for our classes." Master Zack said as he started heading for the door after helping Waves up. "Yeah, yeah." Waves said as he headed for the door as well, as the academy bell started to ring signaling the first day of classes for the new year.

Aemeth was seen walking down the hall of the academy, with his hands behind his head, smiling as he walked. He was in the mood for some training, and reading books in the library, so there were things for him to do today. Something was on his mind, that had been making him determined. He was looking forward to doing what he had planned. "Today's a nice day for training, and reading books... And hanging out with friends... I'm wondering what the others are up to now. Looks like I;ll find out soon." Said Aemeth, talking to himself out loud.

Mmm...this is so delicious!~ were the thoughts of a silver haired teen as she happily munched on one of her many donuts, savoring every sweet bite.  She was way too preoccupied with her task that she paid no mind to what was going on around her, until the bakery's waiter tapped her on the shoulder.  "Hey Umbra," said the waiter, "as much as we love sca- I mean having you here, don't you have somewhere to be right now?  You've been here an hour already."  At the girl's blank look, he continued, "You know, lots of classes to take, students and teachers to annoy, spells to learn, train..." he let the word drag out until it clicked in her head.

"Oh yeah, I gotta go to the academy now!" Umbra exclaimed, and stood up with a smile, "Thanks for reminding me!"  She took a step forward, about to leave, but then turned back around to see the five remaining donuts left uneaten, a look of sorrow forming on her face.  "Hey, could I take those to go, please?  They look so lonely," she begged with a sniffle, and the waiter just sighed before nodding.

Umbra grinned again and, grabbing the donuts, walked up to the counter.  As the waiter was boxing up her food, the silverette looked at all the glorious donuts behind the glass display with stars in her eyes.  "Ooh, could I take those three donuts with me too?" she asked, pointing to the specific ones she wanted.  With an eyeroll he got those and packed them too.

"Hehe, thank you!~" Umbra giggled.  As the waiter was just about to ring her up, she shouted, "Wait!"  Not noticing the glares sent at her, Umbra continued much more quietly, "Um, can I get a box of dozens too please?  Its for my friends and teachers at the academy."  With another annoyed sigh, the waiter got what she wanted, and now finally ringing her up, he said curtly, "12,000 munny."

Oblivious to the harsh tone, she paid him and, thanking him again, skipped out of the bakery.  "Sheesh, she's annoying, but at least we make a fortune off of her," the waiter mumbled to himself as he watched her go.  "Actually, I wonder where she gets all that munny?  ...or how she loses all those pounds?"

Oh, I hope everyone will like these donuts I brought, Umbra thought as she still merrily skipped down the streets, completely enjoying the gorgeous morning.  Getting out one of her own donuts to eat, she continued on her way to the academy.  I think they will.  They're really good after all!

"Ha ha ha! Stop!"

A girl, wide-eyed and with a smile from ear to ear and a rose in her hair pranced around in a moonlight garden, as the fireflies danced through the night and small roses swayed in the wind. She spun in circles, chanting the children's song "Ring Around the Rosie!", but as she flopped onto the ground her face warped in a black hole, replaced and reformed into a boy, with a cracked smile that was almost hard to catch, bold eyes and crossed arms. His confident look said something that his words didn't have to; a strong nod of approval caused the warp to appear again, twisting and turning the features of his face until the image became black. At first it seemed a pure dark, but the black slowly swirled and spiraled, then more aggressively until a blinding light exploded onto the scene.

Seth opened his eyes jerkingly. The dream frightened him, yet he didn't know why. The nightmare was nothing opposed to the one he had last night though, if it even was a nightmare. Nothing scary really happened....

He sat up in no rush, combing his hand through his blonde bedhead in a slow motion. He wore only a tank top and boxers to bed, and his muscles, although not extremely obtuse, rippled through his shirt and along his arms and legs. His neck was rather average sized when it came to height, but its definition was as sharp as on his arms and legs. He woke up with a dull look, at the time it was already rather late. But Seth didn't care much for that. He happened to be a rather late sleeper.

Seth finally rose from his futon mat, heading to his dresser and mirror, cleaning himself up and clipping on an earring on his left ear with a silver star and a minuscule carving on it. It seemed to be some type of lettering but it wasn't any language Seth knew, or wanted to learn.

After combing his hair through thoroughly, Seth flopped right back into bed. He never liked the daytime. Always thought night was so much more beautiful, that people hear began to embrace the night. Alas, all people cared about was light. Their ambitions seemed so... Bright.

Seth hoisted himself up again, putting on a sleeveless bright red-and-black jacket with a 12-sided star on the back and a circle with a swirl design inside over his tank top. He wrapped his left arm in a white bandage, and slipped on a pair of blackish grey jeans and dark sneakers. He swiftly swiped a small container, with a label spelling "Burger Genie! The best burger that's come to light! [X]BACON [X]CHEESE". Heading out of his lonely room, Seth went out onto the bright day.

[Twilight Town]

Sitting on the outskirts of Twilight Town, a sleek looking gummi ship was resting upon one of the many rolling hills that surrounded the town. It’s signature black and white paint scheme was no match for the beautiful glow of the sunset, and the ship seemed to gleam with a brilliant orange as it basked under the ever setting sun. The tall grasses flowed and ebbed like water as a gentle breeze came by, whispering its ever peaceful song and contributing to the serene environment. As the winds faded away, a now obvious line of flattened grass that seemed to start from one of the gates of the town was now snaking towards the resting ship. It seemed to be advancing at a leisurely pace, but the echoes of cursing and swearing amidst the rolling hills seem to say otherwise…

The gummi ship boarding ramp lowered, and Lumina breathed a sigh of relief. “THANK THE LIGHT!” she cried out as she collapsed onto the ramp, “NOISE! HELP ME STORE THIS! I forgot to restock our fridge and supply freezer with steak! But our crisis has been averted thanks to the sales! I got us a sweet deal on porterhouse steaks and potatoes! We should be set for the rest of the month!” Behind her, resting in a cart with wheels a bit too tiny for off road travel, was her loot: family steak packs. There were a lot of them as it turned out; the basket was filled completely and the packs formed a neat mountain nearly three times the height of the cart walls. How she had managed to drag the thing to the ship without having some fall off was anyone’s guess, but Lumina couldn’t care any less.

Grabbing a small bit of rope that was tied to the front of the cart, Lumina grunted once more as she tried pulling the cart up the boarding ramp. As it ascended, the top of the mountain pile of steak was sheared off the front ledge of the ramp access hole. Several packs fell, but Lumina was hoping that her trusty servant would pick up after her mistake. After all, this was the first time that she had ever ventured to the supermarket on her own to retrieve her favorite food. Noise would have normally done the work, but Lumina had always treated her more as a friend than as a servant, and this time was no different. “I also got your favorite food as well!” she announced towards the inside of the ship, “It’s just buried underneath all of mine!”

Noise was awoken by the ramp lowering. She had been curled up in a little ball of extremely skintight high tech leotard and purple braided twintails. As the ramp hit she was startled awake Springing up and running as fast as she could down, she skidded to a stop in front of her master.

"I'm here! I'm sorry, I was asleep!" Lumina was a very...hard person to work with at times. But she was nice, usually after the door locked.

She bowed. "Thank you." She did love her teriyaki chicken, and her rice with soy sauce. Happily hugging Lumina, she began to pull the cart - very easily - up the ramp. "I'll put these away at once." Her voice became softer again, and she began to put them away. She was neat and orderly, and soon the cart was empty, with a few of each purchase out so she could cook.

"Same as usual?" She asked.

[Twilight Town]

Somewhat ashamed that she needed Noise's help anyway, Lumina grinned sheepishly as the servant took over the seemingly arduous task of pulling the cart up the ramp with ease. She went back down the ramp to pick up the remaining packs of steak that were sheared off the cart as Noise got to work putting the food away, and gave it to her servant after confirming that the boarding ramp was closed. "Secure your security." Dad always had the weirdest ways to say things...

"Same as usual?"

Lumina nodded vigorously as her tail started to sway. "Yep! Steak and mashed potatoes, as always!" It took her a moment to notice that Noise had a bit of bedhead, and her enthusiasm quickly waned. "Oh... Were you sleeping earlier while I was out? I'm sorry if I interrupted your nap." Her pointed ears drooped slightly, making it clear that she really was concerned about inconveniencing her servant, however odd that may sound. "Looks like I got carried away when I visited the supermarket. I guess there is some truth to the saying that 'time flies when you're having fun.'" Shifting her attention just a little, she was quick to set up the cozy table within the dining quarters of the ship. It wasn't grand and luxurious like what she was used to back home, but it was comfortable enough to suit their needs. After making sure that everything was set up properly, she returned to the kitchen area of the ship.

"Noise," she gently addressed, "If you're rested enough not to return to napping, I was thinking that... maybe we could explore this town a little. Aside from having the best steaks, there was another reason why I decided to land here. I think that maybe... there could be some clues here in the town that can help you in finding out about who you really are. So, what do you say?"

She said brightly. "Besides, you do it all the time. I'm not really worried." She said, beginning to eat. ".....and sure, we can explore...I....I did want to..." Her voice got a bit quiet once more, more normal than the bright, cheery voice she had a few seconds ago.

Seth stepped out the door towards the grand plaza in Twilight Town. Seth yawned — it was really bright outside. The sunset never seemed to end, just gleam against the never ending dusk. He walked through Station Heights, towards Tram Commons. He looked towards the clock tower, sure that there was... Something there. But then he decided to walk on. Maybe he'd go to the accessory shop and buy some new gloves - his old ones got torn in a fistfight with one of those bastards who tried to jump him.

What made him different from them? His powers? The fact that he couldn't wield a Keyblade?

Who needed one of those silly things anyway? Screw the world.

These thoughts raced his mind as he purchased two forearms-length leather biker gloves for about 2000 munny. Seth pointed towards the gloves with a simple and curt "Those". The shopkeeper groaned as Seth paid, meticulously counting each and every diamond piece and eyeing it as if he were looking for a minute detail so microscopic to prove it was counterfeit, before bagging up Seth's gloves and sending him off.

Seth decided he'd head to the station and sit atop the tower, the only place he felt safe, felt away from the world. After all, the real world was way too harsh.

-Aboard Lumina's Gummi Ship-

Lumina scratched the back of her head in guilt and embarrassment as Noise reiterated that disturbing her sleep was the norm. Curse my awful timing. I've been accidentally doing that for so long and so consistently that she's come to expect it now. I'm a terrible master... Now presented with a very succulent piece of steak right before her eyes, Lumina unwrapped her silverware and started eating. Cutting the steak in half, she stuffed the entirety of the other half into her mouth, and the sweet humming sound of satisfaction escaped from the foxgirl's now overstuffed face.

".....and sure, we can explore...I....I did want to..." she heard Noise reply.

A big smile formed on the foxgirl's face as she finally finished swallowing her juicy chuck of steak. "Great! After our meals, lets gear up and head out! Maybe we can finally start our journey of getting your true identity back!" Her tail was swaying a little faster than before, and the idea of playing detective only excited her more as she continued scarfing down her meal. After finishing, she patiently awaited for Noise to finish before cleaning up the table.

With their lunchtime being over, Lumina prompted Noise to follow her to the ship armory. After grabbing all the gear that they needed and waiting for Noise to outfit herself, Lumina was the first one off the ship. After waiting for Noise to exit as well and arming the security on the gummi ship, Lumina started making her way back towards Twilight Town by following the path of flattened grass she had made earlier with the food cart.

Skylar appeared leaning against a wall next to Aemeth. "The others are probably getting to class soon, while those that don't have class are either studying, reading, or goofing off. The question should be what are you doing now?" Skylar asked Aemeth as she was staying focus on the present just like she always was. She didn't care too much about the past, and she doesn't focus on the future. She likes to stay sharp and focus on what is happening in the moment.

Twilight Town

In Twilight Town, a figure appeared on the top of the tower in a black coat like the Organization wears. "I sense someone here who doesn't belong in a world like this. I think it may be their time to leave this place, and come help in the events about to unfold. The darkness needs all the help it can get before the light takes over. Plus, we need those who believe that darkness and light can work together to reveal a better universe." The figure told itself while it was on top of the tower in Twilight Town.

Aemeth looked over at Skylar in surprise. He folded his hands behind his head, as he looked at her. He smiled as he he looked at her. He was always surprised whenever she appeared so suddenly. "Oh, hey Skylar. I was just heading to the gym to train, and then after that, I was heading to the library to read books. What are you up to today?" Asked Aemeth, asking Skylar a question.

Skylar crossed her arms and looked at Aemeth. "You should probably know by now that that question is irrelevant to me. It should be what am I do right now. I was just about to head to the gym as well, not to train but to study. I find that you can study more by watching someone else train. It helps determine your enemy's weak points." Skylar said to Aemeth.

Aemeth kept his hands behind his head as he kept walking to the gym. He looked on at Skylar, and smiled. He understood what she was talking about, learning more about people to get to know how learn their weak points, but to him, he wanted his and his opponent's Hearts to shape the match. He wanted to get stronger and smarter so that he could help out in the battle against the Light. "I see, feel free to watch whoever you please, but watching isn't the only way to get stronger, to me, it's about the strength of Heart to help shape the match, that's how I go about things." Said Aemeth, talking to Skylar.

Skylar rolled her eyes while walking towards the gym as well. "And what good does that strength of heart really do for you anyways? A person's strength is the mind, not the heart, a heart can't fight on its own. Plus, who cares about the heart anyways, it usually just hurts you in the end." Skylar said at the end lowering her voice to where she hoped only she could hear herself.

Seth approached Sunset Station, beginning to climb the clock tower. He'd known the back door to the top would let him watch the sunset for countless hours until the day ended. Walking up the steps, he rose to see an unfamiliar figure in a black coat, and as if fearing his presence, he hid against an edge of the tower. The hell are they? I've never seen anyone come here before, Seth thought to himself, as if it was an intruder trekking into his confined safe space.

Exhaling softly, Seth started to head back to the spiraling secret staircase of the tower. Maybe today just wasn't the day.

The figure then turned to see Seth. "Now you just wait a moment, I searched many light filled worlds for someone like you, and I faced many challenges in doing so. So young man, come over here and take a seat. We need to talk." the figure suddenly said as it set up a barrier where no one could get in or get out of the top of the tower so Seth couldn't leave yet.

Seth sighed.

"Fine way to make this conversation comfortable, huh?" He said, looking at the glistening wall the barrier set up. Clenching his teeth, he asked "Are you another one of them? Come to trash talk me and beat me? I've been through enough of that. I know I'm different. I get it. It's just a disease!" He looked down, in a frustrated, but obviously sad, yet pleading way "if you've come looking for a fight, just please leave me alone instead!"

The figure shook its head. "No, I have not come to beat you up. You and I share something in common, something you probably don't realize." The figure said as it then held out its had and a fireball that was made of dark aura appeared hovering above its hand. "You may not realize it, since you were trapped here, but there are more places then you could possibly have dreamed about out there, and most of them use darkness over light, you were just unfortunate to be in a light filled world where they don't understand the darkness so they fear it, that is why they pick on you. The true reason I am here is because the darkness needs you, Seth. It needs someone who has lived through the pain that the light can cause, someone who truly knows what the light is capable of. For you see, light is evil, and darkness is good." The figure told Seth desummoning the fireball halfaway through its speech.

Seth's eyes flashed at the black flame. Stepping back, startled, he barely croaked "you're... You're just like me!"

Seth took a moment for the man's words to sink in. "But..." He started, "but they said it was just a disease! How come I can't weild a Keyblade?!"

All of this confused him. Where did this man come from? So many questions he needed answered but he just... Couldn't understand.

The figure looked at Seth. "Is that what they told you? Typical for the people of the light to say. Look, the light fears the darkness, which means they want those who are trapped souls like you to believe that you are sick, that you aren't normal, but that is only because they know that if you ever reached your true potential, then you could then have a fighting chance against them, which is why they fear you. And about that Keyblade of yours, have you ever even touched a Keyblade from a true Keyblade warrior before?" The figure asked Seth.

Seth heard the man but... he just couldn't believe what he said... It was all sudden and hard to follow.

"And about that Keyblade of yours, have you ever even touched a Keyblade from a true Keyblade warrior before?"

Seth hesitated. "Well... no I haven't. But I don't have one myself." With a curious glance, Seth asked "Why would I need to anyway?"

The figure looked at Seth. "You see, to wield a keyblade, you must be passed down the power from someone who already is a keyblade warrior. You don't just get one right off the bat. First you must be given the power to use it, then when the time comes when you need it most, the keyblade will come to you. Now there has been exceptions to this, but only for those who had a special kind of heart. But you, you must be given the power and trained in your own way to obtain a keyblade." The figure said as it then summoned a Corridor of Darkness beside of itself. "Listen, there is another world out there, one that is the training grounds of darkness wielding keyblade warriors and those who practice other talents as well. There you will meet people just like yourself, they shall help guide you on the right path you need to be on. However, finding out how to use a keyblade, who you are really meant to be, and even if you will live long enough to use your true powers, those are all things that rely on you and the choices you make. Now if you are ready to learn who you are, please step through this portal. Good luck out there." The figure said as it then desummoned the barrier, and disappeared with only leaving the Corridor of Darkness behind.

Aemeth continued to walk to the gym as he looked at Skylar with a worried look on his face. He was wondering why she was muttering. He was feeling concerned about her right now. He folded his arms as he looked at her. "Skylar, what's wrong? Why are you muttering? Is something wrong?" Asked Aemeth, asking Skylar a question.

The city of Twilight Town, it was a place in this universe that seemed to be unchanged location wise from its KH universe counterpart. The only real differences seemed to be new additions to areas, like more shops, and it was a place that was bigger because of the added locations, plus there was a large landscape outside of the town that was where Lumina and Noise appeared to be parked at. However, as Lumina and Noise were starting to get further into the town, they were going to be able to see a figure dressed in a sort White Mage outfit, but with their faced covered so you couldn't see their face and with gold on it instead of red. The figure just stood there with a staff, waiting for the two of them to get closer, whenever that may be.

Skylar moved her head to the right and then back at Aemeth, "Oh it's nothing, don't worry about it. Just something I'd like to keep to myself. Well shall we continue?" Skylar asked while not waiting on an answer and just continuing to walk towards the gym. Skylar was a special case, she didn't like to talk much about her feelings or her past, except to herself. There were reasons for the way that she is, however those still remain a mystery except to her. This could at times make people feel like she wasn't okay, or make people want to help her, but she refuses to open up to people or let people help her, so she was much stubborn and someone who people don't really know how to deal with. However, it is rumored she will open up to someone who can prove their true selfs to her, which isn't an easy task to manage.

Waves was walking in the hallway, when he noticed a corridor of darkness open up where he was. Unsure of who it could be, Waves hid behind a pillar that connected to the ceiling of the academy. "Hmm, we don't use those much often here in the academy, outside maybe, but not inside, I wonder who this could be?" Waves thought in his mind.
