~Johnny and Garland, Melmond~

Johnny's feet sank more into the swamp as he tried to block another blow from the man before him. Like all the rest of the attacks, Johnny could only hope he'd hold out long enough to deal back some of the damage.
Unfortunately, he would not.
Johnny's legs gave out and he collapsed into the mud.
A bellow of laughter came from above him. The giant was taunting him.
"Is this all Cosmos has to throw at me?" the armored man said to his foe.
Johnny tried to stand back up, recalling the events that had led to this.

A mere hour earlier, Johnny and his fellow warriors had been summoned by Cosmos to fight the forces of Chaos. Soon after, they had been challenged by an unknown assailant to the town of Melmond. Upon arrival, they had been attacked by two warriors; one wearing a black coat and the other being the armored giant who had been battering Johnny for the past few minutes.

Johnny found his footing and tried to attack the giant, but to no avail. The sword swing from Excalibur did nothing more than irritate the giant.
The giant retorted, "I have had enough of this." He then backhanded Johnny with his free hand, and Johnny passed out.

Garland stood over his defeated assailant. This would be enough. Not the target he wanted, but enough to draw that one out further.
Garland lifted the fallen warrior over his shoulder and called out to the others currently engaged in the frenzied battle, "Behold! One of your own has fallen! Let us see how brave you are to try and rescue him!"
With that, the two vanished in a puff of darkness.

~Terra. Old Chaos Shrine~

Terra had decided that taking a seat would be easier while waiting it out at the Chaos Shrine. Most of the other warriors of Chaos had left, but others had still straggled behind, like Xion, who had joined him.
Terra had no interest in pursuing strangers to fight. This had nothing to do with him, why waste his breath?
That was when something happened.
Garland, the armored brute that had given them the order to fight, had returned, and he carried a stranger with him.
Garland bellowed to those who remained in the hall, "Look upon the first fruits of battle! I have defeated and captured one of Cosmos' own!" Garland's gaze now moved around the room, "Who would have the first honor of taking out our enemy?"
Terra's throat began to run dry. He knew exactly who Garland wanted to take out the enemy warrior.
This was no execution. This was a test of loyalty.

~Lisa, Sanctuary~

 

Lisa whipped her head back around to hear Zaruka whining and stopped tugging on the plushie, turning around to hide her frown.

-Shiro, Sanctuary-

He turned his head looking over to the woman giving them a glance over. Yeah, they obviously don't trust him he turned his head back. "By chance did any of them wield some key looking sword or a staff?." He asked.

 

-Kuro, Old Chaos Shrine-

Walked over grabbing Terra and Xing. "You two want to be of some use then you'll help me once the guy you fought is out and about fighting on the field we'll grab him and bring him before Chaos or kill him, either way, are you two in or not?" He asked with a dark smile on his looking towards Anna. "I don't care if she tags along or whatever."

~Sabrina~

 

~Sanctuary~

 

Sabrina smiles warmly at Lisa as she strokes her head gently. Zaruka looks at Lisa confused and tilt her head as she placed her hand on her mouth. Sabrina sighs while Stoking Lisa's head. "She didn't mean it to hurt your feelings, sweetie. Zaruka is still a baby." She said. Zaruka tugged Lisa's shirt a bit and smiles at her.

~Lisa, Sanctuary~

 

She sighed and said, turning back to face them, "I-I okay, miss Sabwina." Then she hugged Zaruka as an apology to her, crying a little.

Anna smirked. "Nice try." She jumped back and looked at xing summoning her blade. "Face me or die!" Anna was determined to take on xing. She had no doubt that this was a trick.

The warrior brought his hand to his chin. "Ill scout ahead dont let chaos near the girl.

How rude you all are! Ignoring a lady that could destroy you all?"

~Garland, Old Chaos Shrine~

Garland grabbed Anna by the scruff of her neck, "Insolent child! Do you not have a task to before for Lord Chaos? Be on your way, else you shall deal with me!" Garland released her and turned his attention to Kuro, "As for your matter, I shall go with you to hunt this one you seek. These two would be most unfit for dealing with that one again." Garland stopped to address Terra and Xing, "And you two. Should you still be here when I return, you will be dealt with."

~Cosmos, Sanctuary~

"Shantotto," Cosmos turned to the diminutive warrior. "I had meant no offense. You had news to report?"

~Johnny and ???, outskirts of Sanctuary~

Johnny had rendezvoused with the warrior of Chaos outside Sanctuary, and the two now planned their attack.
"You know their ways in combat," the warrior in armor said. "Which ones will be the most difficult?"
Johnny pointed to the small woman standing near Cosmos, "Shantotto. I heard she was a mage, more powerful than she looks. It's not her size, just how she uses it."
"After that?"
Johnny focused on Elsa, "Elsa. I've fought her before. She can hit you close or far. Don't doubt her, one slip-up and you could easily lose."
"What of the goddess?"
"I doubt Cosmos will fight unless challenged directly," Johnny said, before pointing out a lighter-haired male dressed in red. "That guy, he could be an oddball. I've never seen him before."
"Then he is one of the middle-ground," the warrior said, before readying his weapons. "When shall we go forth?"
"Patience," Johnny said. "I'm working on a plan here."

~Zack, west of Cornelia~

Zack nodded, "Go. I'll hang back and keep an eye on the peanut gallery."
Zack stopped to wait for Aqua, Nami and Xion to catch up. When they were all together again, Zack continued walking, "C'mon, guys! I thought we were going to hurry to Cosmos, not take a leisurely stroll!"

~Xing~

 

~Old Chaos Shrine~

 

Xing had no choice but to fight her as he summoned his hammer. That is until Garland interrupt them and grabs her. "Hey, get your hands off of her, helmet head!" He said angrily as he shoves Garland roughly and looks at her. "Anna, please! I'm not a illusion! Chaos summoned me and I don't even know why he picked me when I'm not evil! And second, what are you doing here?! Is Saeori and the others here too?!"

 

~Aqua, Nami and Xion~

 

~West of Cornelia~

 

Aqua looks at Zack, nodded and rushed towards him. "Sorry about that." She said. Nami grabs Xion's hand and rans to the group, giggles smiling at her. Xion was surprised and panics while Nami continues holding her hand while running. "Nami, wait!" She yelled.

~Elsa, Lisa, and Hannah, Sanctuary~

 

Elsa and Hannah started to get the feeling that someone was waiting to attack. Just in case there was, Elsa summoned her Gaster Blasters and Hannah summoned her fire sword. They weren't going to get thrown off guard now. Lisa stopped hugging Zaruka and summoned a little Gaster Blaster to play with.

~Sabrina~

 

~Sanctuary~

 

Zaruka looks at the little Gaster Blaster curiously as she raised her little hand and trying to pet the creature. Sabrina looks at Shantotto and was surprised when she heard her name. She heard some stories about Shantotto from her father and actually never thought she was real. "ohh wow..." she whispered herself. then looks at Elsa and Hannah, wondering what's going on with them as she saw the Gaster Blasters next to Elsa while Hannah summoned her sword covered in flames. "What's wrong?" She asked.

~Elsa, Lisa, and Hannah, Sanctuary~

 

The little Gaster Blaster saw that Zaruka was wanting to pet its head, so it got close to her and purred against her hand. Elsa turned her head to Sabrina and whispered to her, "Me and Hannah keep getting the feeling that someone's going to attack us. And I know it's not Shiro or that woman..." Hannah kept her grip on her fire-covered sword, pointing it toward any openings that might get her blindsided.

-Shiro, sanctuary-

Cracking his neck the shadows engulfed his arm as his sword appeared in his hands his eyes peering. "So I wasn't the only one thinking someone's watching us?" He had that gut feeling and his instincts were usually never wrong. "Whatever the case they are hanging back for a reason most likely taking note of which one of us is the strongest..." That actually gave them the advantage they could only presume about him...

 

Shiro, after all, was the oddball here with no Terra or Xing to tell them about what basics they knew about his own fighting style.

 

-Kuro, Old Chaos Shrine-

"Perfect I would prefer someone with more skill was just going to use those two as bait honestly." He said with a shrug glancing to his side for a moment as he closed his eyes giving a dark chuckle. "Well, he's prepping himself for combat right now which means Johnny boy has either attacked or been found out." He stated "Should we go or wait for chaos to erupt there?"
 

(Feel free to Icly ask how Kuro knows what Shiro is doing he can go more in debt about the ability.)

Shantotto raised an eyebrow. "So it seems the enemy is near they are fools to wander so near." Shantotto took pride in her abilities. She knew that they were foolish to attack cosmos directly. She then summoned her sceptor. "For if you wish to battle let me be the one to test your mettle."

 

The warrior went off towards the land of discord. He knew the enemy was powerful but even so did not waver. He was determined to discover more. He didnt want xion hurt.

 

Anna scoffed. She didnt care who this armored brute was. There was little he could do to her even so she bowed to him and went on her way.

~Johnny, Sanctuary~

"Damn," Johnny cursed, striking the pillar in front of him. "They know we're here, and they're on edge."
"Our element of surprise is lost," the armored man said. "We are outnumbered."
Johnny shook his head, "They still don't know who they're fighting. We could take them."
"And how do you suppose we do that?"
Johnny shot a cocky smile, "None of them know how to fight me. I can run circles around these losers."
The armored man readied his two swords, "You count on your speed to save you?"
"You can't hit what you can't see."
"Then let them know our power. They shall be judged."

The armored man turned from his concealment from the pillar. allowing all to see him.
"Warriors of Cosmos, your day of reckoning has arrived!" an angry voice called out from the man. "I have come to do battle and judge all those who stand against me!" The man began to walk forward, raising his blades across his chest.
Then a massive burst of wind echoed past those by Cosmos' throne. On the other side, a figure in dark armor, a massive greatsword on his back.
"Lady Cosmos, I have returned," he said as he reached for his blade. "And I have come to claim that which is rightfully mine!"
The man in armor began to swing his swords as he walked, sending shockwaves out towards the throne, "As Judge Magister, I shall decide whether or not any of your lives are worth living!"

~Garland, Old Chaos Shrine~

"Like I said before, lure him out. Isolate him," Garland said, readying his greatsword by his side. "Surely if you can sense him and his movements, he can sense you."

~Zack, North of Cornelia~

Zack smiled at the girls. From what he remembered of SOLDIER before he was summoned, it was nothing like this. The atmosphere was doom and gloom then, as everyone was practically gone.
But here...
Here, they knew they were in danger, possibly outnumbered at any second and yet...they laughed, they smiled, they giggled.
Like everything was just going to be a fun day at the park.
You know better than that.
Zack turned to look due south, "Looks like we're almost there. You can see the castle from here."

~Terra, Old Chaos Shrine~

Terra pulled on Xing's shirt, "C'mon, let's get out of here. If we're lucky, we might actually find something to do."

Shantotto dhot up a reflect spell to block the shockwaves thrown at Cosmos. "Oh ho ho ho ho ho! How dare you chaos brutes come to this place?! You indeed must be seeking 2nd place. For it is me you face. Prepare yourself judge i will not save face."

~Sabrina~

 

~Sanctuary~

 

Sabrina gasps when a man in dark armor approach Cosmos and everyone. Zaruka begin to cry loudly after what just happened. As Sabrina picks her up, she gets her wand and changed her clothes into witch clothing. She looks at the man as she holds Zaruka close. "Please, leave us alone!" She shouted at him. Zaruka continued to cry and shaking in fear.

 

~Xing~

 

~Old Chaos Shrine~

 

He looks at Terra and nods. "Yeah.." he replied. Xing was upset and hurt about Anna's words, believing that he's a puppet. He looks down sadly. (is it really possible that my family is here too?...) he thought.

-Shiro, Sanctuary-

"...Really now where's the second guy I was more interested in him than you." His sword pulsed with dark energy as he let out his own shockwave countering the one sent his way. "And you...Well, you aren't the biggest threat at the moment." Looking towards Shantotto nodding. "So that leaves you and whoever the guy who hasn't yet to decided show up is I'm challenging him to fight and he doesn't show?" He shook his head. "No real honor." He looked yelling. "Get the kid out of here." He stated gripping his sword.

"Well if he ain't showing..." His sword pulsed with dark energy as turned looking straight at the one with the greatsword dashing forward in a burst of speed his sword held facing backward as he up close and personal sent a barrage of three shockwave strikes at him.

~Elsa, Lisa, and Hannah, Sanctuary~

 

Elsa and Hannah held their ground when the shockwaves hit them. Lisa, however, ran off to hide. "God... Why do these things happen to us...?" Elsa muttered, before getting into her fighting stance and saying loudly, "IF YOU THINK YOU CAN BEAT US, THEN YOU'VE GOT ANOTHER THING COMING TO YOU A-HOLE!" With that being said, she summoned her Gaster Blasters and sent them to the Chaos warrior, commanding them to shoot their lasers at him. Hannah charged toward the warrior and prepared to slice him with her fire sword.

~Johnny, Sanctuary~

Johnny laughed as everyone began to focus on Gabranth. Of course no one turned to see him on the opposite side of the throne.
Time to save his butt.
Johnny dashed over to Hannah and deflected her blade before pushing her off-balance.
Then he ran in front of the Gaster Blasts and ran his blade in front of them, dissipating them.
Last, he dashed back in front of Gabranth and cut down each shockwave being sent towards him.
"You want the other guy?" Johnny called out to the man in red. "Here I am."

~Sabrina~

 

~Sanctuary~

 

While everyone is focus on the Chaos warriors, Sabrina looks around, trying to find a safe spot for Zaruka. She couldn't bare to lose her little girl, especially she's a baby. Sabrina then Spotted Lisa and goes to her and summoned a basket to put Zaruka down gently. She looks at Lisa with a worried look on her face and strokes Zaruka's head. "Please, keep her safe for me. I'm counting on you." She said. As she gets up, she summoned a barrier around the girls to protect them from the warriors. After that, Sabrina rushed back to the battle while charging her light magic.

~Elsa, Lisa, and Hannah, Sanctuary~

 

Lisa nodded and watched over Zaruka. Hannah exclaimed angrily when Johnny knocked her off balance. Elsa almost felt her heart stop when she saw him, unable to move at all. "Elsa! Don't let him take you!" Hannah yelled, noticing that the woman wasn't moving. But Elsa just stood there, her mind racing with questions about how her kicks were not enough to break the crown's spell on him.

~Sabrina~

 

~Sanctuary~

 

Sabrina noticed that Elsa isn't moving at all, just standing there. She's worried about her as she continues to run towards them. (c'mon Elsa, snap out of it! what's going on with you?!) she looks at Johnny and wonders. (is he the reason why she couldn't move? Whatever it is, i gotta do something to help her!) she then summoned several light orbs at Johnny and Gabranth and stand next to Elsa. Sabrina looks at the men as she aims her wand at them.

~Elsa and Hannah, Sanctuary~

 

Elsa felt like she was in a bad dream. Were her kicks just not good enough on that vile object? Soon enough, she fell to her knees, crying quietly. If my friend can't be saved, then what's the point of fighting? She thought as she cried. Hannah felt her heart burning and she screamed, "ELSA! GET UP AND FIGHT THEM NOW!" Then the girl noticed that Johnny wasn't looking at her. So she quickly got behind them and sliced his back a little with her fire sword.

~Johnny and Gabranth, Sanctuary~

Johnny felt the fire on his back, but knew that his armor was the only thing that had been damaged.
"Bad move, Hannah," Johnny said before raising his arm sharply behind him, hoping to blindly hit her.
Gabranth crossed his swords across his chest and began to charge energy into them, before looking up to those in front of the throne, "You shall face judgement!"
Gabranth then swung his two swords to his side, releasing a blast around him, disrupting the balls of light.
Johnny took this opportunity to dash over to Elsa, but as he moved past her to get behind her, he whispered into her ear.
"Duck left."
Johnny stood behind her, raising his sword and prepared to drop it on her.

~Elsa and Hannah, Sanctuary~

 

Hannah tried to move out of the way, but got hit by Johnny and fell to the ground, her fire sword dissipating. When Elsa saw this, she got even more upset because she had allowed him to hit her friend. But when she heard Johnny's voice telling her to duck left, she was shocked. But she did it anyway, moving to the left. Though she still didn't want to fight him. It was like when she fought her son David, who had been turned into a demon by her dark side once.

-Shiro, Sanctuary-

Cracked his neck as he dashed his body coated in darkness as he attempted to slam straight into Johnny so the two of them would be facing off one on one. "I'll deal with him." He stated loudly gripping his sword. "Well, I won't bother telling you to surrender because that won't work." He got into a stance sword in hand. "So let's see which one of us comes out victorious."
