Newbie Question #3: Medal Pool Management

Posted

So I've used the free event jewels to buy the 10 bundle of pretty marginal 6*s --- live and learn.  I'm starting to run up against the limit of 50 medals.  From reading this forum I see that several people said increasing your metal limit was a mistake they made.

1) Is upping your metal limit a bad thing?

2) What should I do with fairly bad 6*s that I am never going to use?  For example Tinker Bell and Pain/Panic seem not very useful.  Is selling the best option or using to level up other medals?

3) I never got a response on another topic about should I evolve lower medals, i.e. 3*s and below.  If I have a good 1*s or 2*s, is it worth it to level all the way to 6* or does that just take way too long?

Thanks for any help you can give!

1 upping your medal limit is good especially now with the new nova system, however prioritize getting your keyblade cost to 180-183 first. that way you aren't stuck not being able equip a full set of 6*

2 keep them. before i would have said sell them but guilt them and add them to your nova level.

3. upgrading stuff to 6 is always a plus. the extra damage is useful. a guilted (all the little circles filled with the symbol lit) medal should only be replaced by more useful medals. if you have a 1 star that is currently doing the damage you need keep it until you get something that surpasses it. Even support medals, the extra damage WILL be necessary eventually, the extra defense WILL help.

1. if you mean medal storage then yes, you should keep it as small as possible. that way you can use the jewels for draw/avatar board instead.

2. i'd suggest keep them for proud mode later. you will need wide array of medals to tackle those quests.

3. depends. i believe you referring to story quest medals? they're good for starter but will become less useful with newer content coming up. only level several useful story medals like Paine/rikku/yuna, stitch.
