But when it comes to save my progress of the game and then I quick save, then when it reaches the title screen then it says new game. Uhg its a problem what can I do to save my progress?

Internal battery of the DS or the game cartridge?

Chain of Memories is a Gameboy advanced  game.

I remember that with my Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire, when the internal battery died I also lost my save file and I was unable to make a new save file no matter how many times I new gamed and saved on a new game. You have 2 solutions to your problem :

  1. Have the cartridge repaired or
  2. Emulate the game virtually on your PC or phone or another device and it will always save without fail.

I don't know. I haven't fixed GBA games before. I'm nor sure if people will fix GBA cartridges anymore since its a very outdated gaming media.

Yes I agree with Dotmore. A DSTwo flashcard is a 3DS gaming cartridge that lets you run games multiple games which you load yourself.

So if you are using a 3DS and assuming Nintendo does not release a patch that stops the card from working - I don't see why using a flashcard isn't a viable option.

Edit: Websites are saying that DSTwo won't run KHCoM. But the websites were dated from 2010. So I suggest doing some research to see if the situation has changed before making any investments
